  1. Now a few questions I have. Is there anywhere I can buy the spring and the nut and bolt that acts as the hinge for this watch? Thanks Edit update: Is the weight of the balance whell easy to replace back by snaping it into position? Or do i need to send it to a watch repairer? *****Fixed**** simple issue of just slotting the pieces together...
  2. I dropped my Graham Chronofighter and caused quite a few damages, however I think I made a lucky escape, initally I shoock the watch and it made a really aweful clanking noise, I took it home and opened it up here is the list of damages 1) they weight on the balance wheel has come off ****FIXED**** 2) The Hinge of the lever that activates the chronograph is broken 3) the spring on the reset button has bouced off somehwere and can't trace it. 4) the seconds hand resets currently at 1/3 of a second forward, however this does not bother me. The graham is a heavy watch and I'm incredibly surprised that the movement survived the shock and left only minor problems. here in pictures.
  3. I saw this watch worn by cougaree, pm'd him where he got his watch from he gave me the source but it was a MM gen, costing around $1000 Slightly above my price bracket. But I really like that watch, in fact the watch is better looking than most of the PAM (if not all) I've seen. I think what sets this watch apart from the others is the bulky looking construction and the raised glass window I was wondering do you know which PAM is replicated by this, and also is it possible to get this in an automatic movement?
  4. 3 words, italians know fashion!! this watch is so beautiful, yet so simple. Get rid of the ugly rolex's and ugly omegas, get onto the panerais!!
  5. surely the only watched taken to space will bit digital quartz watches due to the fact that lack of gravity may affect the friction inside movement watches to make them work in space.
  6. I'd imagine girls aren;t so big into chronographs My graham gets comments from guys more than girls, I guess it's a very technical looking watch, and the level mechanism looks like something that's dropped off a space ship.
  7. Well the the UK, conterfeit products are treated almost like stolen property, and if the copywrite owners get a hold of the watch they will "take care of it", potentially even sue you for it. The AD I would imagine is a different case because he is an independant who doesn't own the copyright, he doesnt want to deal with the hassle so will most likely turn you away after embarassing you. I'd still like to browse through a Graham dealers collection though to see how well my rep fares against the gens.
  8. mi espusa es su espusa
  9. I have a few problems with my 7750, the chrono has reset to 1s (my fault for resetting between 10 & 2), I want to get it serviced, fix the chrono and replace a missing spring that I lost after I opened up the watch. How much should this cost realisticly?? Because the price I'm quoted is quite steep.
  10. I have the graham pictured latter, the former is very ugly IMO. I liked the crown guard initially, but now it feels like a bit of an excess if you ask me, some people complaining that the "crown guard" is painful... get the hint peeps, your wrists are too small for this watch.. Buy a smaller watch. Now, secondly the "crown guard" isn't as purposeless as it appears, it's actually a chrono start lever, you press it down which presses down the button in the middle of the crown which starts the crono.. Grahams are like marmite, you either love them or you hate them, my personal beleif is that they're more suited for the younger end of the market, I am after a swordfish write now. Although the watch is big and heavy, I find the way the rubber strap curves around my wrist really comfortable, and it stays put in one place, I used to own a leather, natostrap and a bracelet PO which I found to move away from the centre of my wrist, the only want to keep it in place was to strap it down tight which is uncomfortable. With the grahams everything is kushte, strap it up loose, yet stays put.. Presto
  11. I was fidgiting with my chronofighter again, I wasn't satisfied with already messing up the chrono and changing the chrono reset from 0s to 1s, (after I reset the chrono between 10 & 2 [which I only found out that it was a no-no aqfter reading the 7750 guide] The reset button came loose, so I unscrewed it to enquire when I tried to replace it back, and the spring went flying off somewhere, the spring fits around a 1mm thick stick, and is between 6mm and 7mm in length I've attached pics to illustrate One pic shows the chronofither with the buttons decoration attached, the second pic shows the buttons decoration detached, you can see the pin sticking out on the rest button, the pin is suppose to have a spring around it so after presing the button it would stick back out. It's unlikely that I'll find the spring and need to grab hold of another one to replace it, anyone have any ideas where I can get one?? Thanks
  12. I can empathise with them, they turn their nose on the rep scene, just like we turn our nose on the quartz watches... You can argue that the reps are just as well made as the gens... The quartz scene can argue that their watches have better time keeping than movement watches, (which is true), and requires virtuaally no maintenance, and isn't distorted by heat or magnetism as much as the movement watches.. et cetra. p.s. I'm just playing devils advocate, the "quartz scene" doesn't really exist, at least I don't think so,
  13. Wearing my Graham Chronofigther Diver, it's heavy and bulky.. I know, it's the only watch I have..
  14. I wonder if there are good bargins to be had in the china town in london, leicester square.. can anyone confirm this?? P.s. I'm keeping my Graham watch firmly in London if I ever visit italy, but hang on.. surely they'll be patriotic about their brands only and go after italian fakes only.. like High end fashion label rip offs.
  15. Ahh Thanks very much, got it sorted. Must of clicked the other option by accident.
  16. Hi All of a sudden I can only see one post per thread, and I need to click on links at the bottom which is under "posts in this topic", and click on them to read posts one by one. I looked around in the control panel and even changed the board options to view 15 posts per thread, but nothing is happening. Am I the only one with this?? Can I change it back somehow?? Thanks in advance Karim
  17. I've receved my Graham v2 and it has no date.... I don't know why, but the original do have date, and if you want date on your rep you need to order a different model name in some rep sellers as DiveDate (for the diver version). yOU CAN GET DIVEDATE FROM Joshua, Eurotimez do not sell divedate
  18. bottom line, rep makers have a very lucrative business, rep supplies have a very lucrative business, and they're not going to give up shop and walk away, they'll find some way to get by. If anything perhaps the EU/US based rep sellers, like eurotimez and precious time (UK) will start selling more watches as people seek out local suppliers. I dont know how on earth these guys managed to import so many watches from china, my guess is perhaps they order the watches dismantled, 1 crate bezel, 1 crate straps, one crate dial, 1 crate movement etc all in different shipments which makes it hard for customs to definately say whether it's infringing any patents as there are no finished article, unless of course they are watch connoseurs. Once they receive the shipment, put the watch together, and voila... Nice cool rep ready to sell on.
  19. I believe this is a pretty effective marketing strategy for a lot of less known brand, it appeals to the sort of people who like to buy stuff at bargain prices I guess, regardless of the quality of the article, if it's 50% off, then it must be worth buying. A clothing brand called eisseneger in London, which tries to pass itself off as a well known Swiss brand, sells clothing at 80-90% off, RRP
  20. If it helps, I too would like to know the asnwer to Andreas' question, I'm about to buy myself a Graham
  21. The straps are great, looking like amazing quality and beautifully matches. But my word.... These watches are beautiful, God knows why people settle for ugly rolex's, and omegas. IMO Graham's are hugely under-represented, the chrome Graham looks stunning. Can you tell us where you bouth them from. Thanks
  22. Hi I'm about to buy this watch from precious time, (depending on if he can find a different dial colour, as I dont like black dials). I asked if they are waterproof, and he said no. I'd like to form out my 218 Great British Pounds, on this piece of wonder chinese craftsmanship, but even though I'd love to be a proud owner of this Chinese Masterpiece, I don't like the idea of it being nuked from a splash of Great British Rain. Is there anyone out there who can do a waterproof job on it? Thanks
  23. I've been permanently wearing my PO with a natostrap that I boguht a earlier this month, I even wear it to bed as the natostrap is so comfortable, and after a while you dont even realise you're wearing a watch. My observation from this thread is that most of the people in this community must be mid 30's and above, because the taste is watches is hidieously mediocre.. I'm 24, and really I'm looking for a watch that is a bit on the eccentric side and says hey look at me! I'm thinking of selling my bog standard PO, and getting omega seamaster 46mm) with orange bezel and a orange rubber strap. Or any one of the Grahams, I beleive the grahams are more funky and more suited for the 20 somethings, but hardly anyone here seems to wear them here. I'm reading up on threads on the graham to answer a few pre-buying questions, but threads seem to be few and far between.. never understood the fascination with the rolex's and in the case of the rep community the PO, in my eyes they're at par with cheap
  24. The Graham watches are by far the sexiest watches I have ever come across, and I have my eyes set on a few, but I'm reading up snd researching on it before I plunge circa
  25. I want to water test my watch, it's a 21j movement. My query is that if it does leak in water, will it be the end of the watch, and will it be possible it bring it back to life by evaporating the water out using the above method?? I would have though water would only kill quartz watches which have an electronic circuit board, and not mechanical watches...
