  1. Tapatalk only crashes when viewing RWG forums on iPhone. RWG convos/pms are fine. Strange
  2. anyone else have issues with tapatalk crashing with RWG? Been crashing since yesterday on iPhone 6+
  3. I lumed over the Yuki lume. The lume mix I use somewhat masks the original dial lume but still glows. This would be period correct for mid 60's tritium dials as those dials still glow due to the phosphorus content used in those days. If this were a '70's dial, I most likely would have painted the lume plots first with an opaque flat white prior to luming. Removing the existing lume is not an option. Frankly not worth my while. The Yuki lume is a white resin. it's very very difficult to scrape off. It can be done but I would charge too much for that process which would result in very little additional visual benefit. It's a rep dial... Be as cost efficient as possible. A gen dial is a easy future upgrade if/when a reasonably priced one pops up.
  4. No direct shot of the dial itself. But the plots were pure white and somewhat glossy. Not good
  5. Glad it arrived safely. Looks great on a 7206 (even if it is a rep). I should probably point out that the dial/hands were relumed and because the insert did not have a pearl, I popped the crappy Yuki pearl out of the rep insert and placed it temporarily in the gen insert at DTM's request. The lovely insert deserves to rock a gen pearl at some point. I also slightly trimmed the second sweep hand to look as gen as possible. It was a pleasure working on this project with DTM who is stand up guy.
  6. Congrats on a fine build. Wear it in good health.
  7. I can appreciate the lumed sapphire bezel insert. Sadly, I do not like the design of the dial/case/bracelet. Would much rather have an MKII Kingston/Nassau
  8. Could Rolex be next?! http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/12/16/us-tagheuer-smartwatch-idUSKBN0JU20920141216
  9. It's not built yet. Patience my Padawan learner.
  10. I did have this briefly on my wrist today.... just missing a few components for now...
  11. Very nice M!. Love the lugholes
  12. Last piece of the puzzle is complete. Stay tuned. Sneek peek.
  13. I just checked, and only option for me was the usual $40 fedex shipping option (then of course the $20 duty + 13% GST)
  14. Soak in acetone to dissolve any loctite/glue. Then use a triangular file/broach to remove.
  15. I'd get a cheap printer and test it out.
  16. Impressive. If I were you, I'd try thinning some acrylic enamel (or similar) and injecting into the inkjet cartridges. But I'm sure you've thought of it.
  17. What about a water-based varnish like Varathane diamond coat?
  18. The "grips" are made with replaceable rubber pads and won't mar the surface. One would have to get this vice custom-machined. Not exactly a wal-mart item
  19. There are two reasons why I go to PF Changs when I visit the CT office; Their marguerites, and the Mongolian beef plate.
  20. You need a special reverse vice. It looks like this:
  21. Sitting on a plane with a 3.5 hour delay:
  22. Found this in my drawer. Still in mint condition. You can see why she's been a safe queen for the past 20 years. What's the word I'd use to describe it?? Classy. That's it. Classy Please, no drooling. Accepting all reasonable offers for this beauty. Gen Japanese movement!
  23. Did someone say ghost insert?
