  1. What you fail to realize, is that your blind acceptance of one truth arising from your refusal to accept a truth that's thrust upon you exemplifies how close minded you are becoming. There is an irony there as well.
  2. Why would I want to enlighten a blinded follower? Your mind is closed my friend. You must first free your mind
  3. You clearly have a problem reading. I repeat, I am very well educated on Dr. Woods work. You are as blinded by her work as much as you claim the rest of us are. Your hypocrisy is comical. You choose to be a follower and as such have closed your mind. You have much to learn padawan.
  4. While my popcorn is still delicious, your responses are becoming more stale by the minute. Your efforts as a prophet for Dr. Wood are misguided as you actually fail to see the the real truth.
  5. Oh. And yes, as velocity increases, the momentum increases. P=mv While the sheathing on airplanes are thin, they are structurally very strong. I certainly wouldn't want to be hit by one at 500 knots. I also have a degree in physics,,, not that it means anything.
  6. This popcorn is delicious. Have you ever taken a plane wing and whipped it at a fully occupied building yourself to see what would happen? I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the above. But you seem to take the above hypotheses as facts. While they may be, Without conducting actual tests replicating the same conditions using the same materials, Dr woods theories will remain just that. Theories. There are other theories and I have my own and will not voice them here. But dood, seriously, get a grip. These are discussions are best made over a Guiness.. You admitted that we are too blind to see or seek the truth, so why continue? Maybe you don't think we are all so blind afterall! It's ok to say that. Oh. Have a nice evening.
  7. Just this old thing:
  8. ok cool.. I'll mail it out early next week B. Cheers
  9. Athaya pearls are a fraction wider than gen pearls i find... I can send you one if you like.. I've already filled it. It sounds like you hit something and in doing so, compressed the bezel and thereby pushed the insert and when it hit the edge of the crystal, something had to give.. These are not made of adamantium sadly. Inserts get bent all the time... paging @lionsandtigers!
  10. Did it happen as you were popping it out of the bezel? That happens all to frequently. sorry to hear that. There are two possible solutions: 1.) the cheapest option. Get a pearl (gen or rep athaya). You will have to "flatten" the tiny serrations where it snapped at the triangle.. not much material there. Then epoxy the pearl in place. The acrylic pearl will act as a binder of sorts and give it some rigidity. 2.) You can get it laser welded together, but probably not worth the cost/effort. The surface will be marred as you will need to sand down the weld marks and repaint. Of course the third option is to sell it for whatever salvage value there is.. for a MKIII, I think the best you can hope for is low-mid 300's (at best) if its not a faded insert
  11. Not a good match IMO
  12. Like I said, I am very well informed on the documentation/evidence/observations/theories re:all of the above. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with you here. And to your other point: no, its not just their loss, it's their family's as well. Good luck on your hunt.
  13. Judy Wood is just one of many.. I am quite familiar with the evidence (in particular the "squibs", horizontal ejection rates, etc.). But to be frank, I think it's a loose connection to reference 9/11(irrelevant to this conversation, but I lost many friends at Cantor) or other New World Order conjectures when looking for advice on which TD to select. There is a time and place for that. Like you said yourself, the reasons why you want to buy a rep watch are your own. Your choices so far have spread across the entire spectrum of modern and old. Focus on one segment first, then zero in on one particular model and compare the reps to the gen and ask yourself if you can live with the flaws that YOU see, not what others see. If you cannot, then research what mods if any can alleviate your concerns. Failing that, move on to your next choice. TD selection is a matter of personal preference and convenience. Some are more European centric, while others are more CONUS friendly in terms of shipment/timing. I have dealt with several over the years and generally have had good experiences, but it's important not to have an unrealistic level of expectation. But right now, you are all over the place and my advice is for you to do nothing until you are more sure of what you really want.
  14. I personally think Milgausses are girls watches and would never wear one. But I'm sure it'll look great on the OP. (I'm being perfectly upfront and straightforward as per request)
  15. not sure about everyone else.. but I don't see crap... YSATI
  16. Did someone say smudge dial?
  17. I would not touch it. Plus, many of the blemishes may be muted if you're using a superdome. Apparently the T19 from Michael Young is an excellent repro.
  18. Other than the usual triangular file solution, has anyone used a specific tube wrench for gen 8mm tubes? I've searched and can't seem to find anything specific for the old Brevet tubes.
  19. TC is .25 pitch. Gen is .35
  20. Is this for a rep or gen? If it's gen, i believe you need the 25-285. The gen retaining ring assembly is nothing like the rep 16600 for what it's worth. It's a 3 part system. If its a rep (or other) TC makes a 25-286: http://blog.tc-sub.com/2012/05/45-tc-rolex-25-286-20-mm-crystal.html
  21. M3 x 0.35 for sure for the 703/704 gen tubes. You can pick up a cheap pair on eBay for like $10-15.
  22. I have a BP pearl I can let go
  23. If I were you I wouldn't bother replacing with another rep crown from the TD. Just get a gen crown..used in good condition is fine. You might be able to use the existing stem..although I'd just replace it at the same time. You can pick up a nice gen 703 crown for $60-80. Replacing the crown on any (Rolex) rep should be a mandatory first mod.
  24. I believe the TC case takes 27.3mm dials, whereas the 14060 dials are 27.0mm
