  1. 14060 dial won't fit properly in a TC case
  2. tpiwwp
  3. Not gonna be easy. Crown position will be different. Obviously different hands. Dial feet location is not same either. If you are stuck on using a gen movement, I personally think you're better off buying the SA3135V2 subC. Pry off the bezel assembly and slap on the noob Bezel if you really want to. I think the maxi dial on the SA3135 is better than the Noob, but you will need to get it relumed as it sucks. Case will need a little reshaping as well. Anyhow.. Good luck with it. With the right tools, anything is possible.
  4. No Rolex collection is complete without a 5513
  5. Wow.. congrats... but... TPIWWP!
  6. So you need a dial, crown, and bezel (assume you need insert as well). I have everything but the dial. Anyhow, it might be best if you posted a picture of the watch you purchased. The crown will be unique to the style of tube that is attached to the case. Welcome to RWG.
  7. Gen mf gilt dial... Not an easy find
  8. I wouldn't be surprised. Bought it on VRF last year
  9. Fun word. Thks. I knew there had to be a name for them.
  10. I C. Ok. Thank you.
  11. Just to let you know, even gen parts can fail, not just reps. I took off the bracelet on my 5513 the other day and found to my dismay, that the pin holding the two blades of the gen 93150 clasp was missing! I can buy a replacement 16mm pin, which is in effect just a skinny metal rod. My question is, how do I terminate the ends of the pin so that it stays secure while at the same time be ascetically pleasing? I want the ends too look like this: Nicely rounded and secure. Can't really achieve the rounded profile by just whacking it with a jewelers hammer.
  12. MBW are no longer made as, well, "Maria" is dead.... The legacy of the MBWs (Maria's Best Watch) are now generally called MBK , named after the shopping complex where the watch stall in Thailand is located. Reg (Narikaa) on RWI can get them for you but it could take some time as he travels there only a few times a year. Many will atest that the MBKs of today are of slightly inferior quality compared to the MBWs of yesteryear. But regardless, every non gen will have flaws.. Some less than others. They will pop up in the sales section from time to time as well. Good luck.
  13. What case is that?
  14. But the rep bezel must be mated to the rep retaining ring right? I mean, the rep bezel won't fit properly with a gen retaining ring. Is that correct?
  15. Yuki will provide you with a full credit if you return them.
  16. Your crown is toast methinks. Inside the crown is a clutch-like mechanism. Its a hex-ish nut that is released when the end is depressed. So either the spring is faulty or the hex nut and/or the corresponding catch mechanism is worn out. It's an "easy" fix and a great start to get you more involved in watch building/modding. All you need are three tools: case opener, 1.2mm screwdriver and needle nose pliers. And a replacement crown. Might as well get a gen. Open up the Caseback with a duct tape ball or a squash ball. Or ideally a 29.5mm oyster case remover ($15-20). I find ductape balls don't work well on Rolexes sometimes. Once open, depress the stem release very very gently while tugging at the crown. Take the pliers and grab the stem at the square area. Unscrew the questionable crown. Then thread on the new crown. Reinstall everything. Voila. First mod done. Congrats
  17. Can anyone confirm if the bezel on the noob or BP ceramic subs (116610) is interchangeable with the gen bezel?
  18. Are all the dials that fit on the cal 3135 by Rolex exactly the same size? I'm talking about the diameter of the plate. For example, is the diameter of the plate used in a 16610 exactly the same as the plate used for the 116610 subC? What about the 14060 dial plate relative to the 114060? Assuming of course all of the above are using the 3135.
  19. Anyone with a Gen subC: could you measure the inside diameter of the insert? I need that measurement (In mm) ASAP. Thanks
  20. Looks pretty good, altough the hands are possibly lumi. Tough to tell from the pics.
  21. It's an impressive build.
  22. What part number is the crystal for the no date ceramic sub (gen)? 25-295? Anyone happen to have a spec sheet/diagram for it? I'm in need of the measurements of every aspect of its dimensions.
  23. Surprising how well gen parts fit together .
  24. Distance between the lugholes and the case is closer on the modern subs compared to the older subs. That's why its a tight fit. Set the strap where you want it,, then attach springbars. Difficult to adjust a thicker NATO once spring bars are set.
  25. There is a price different between the modern 127 and the vintage one. The vintage has a much smaller bevel. That will impact prices as well
