  1. Happy Joyeux Anniversaire TJ !!! Have a good time. Still not sold, so why not wear it for a nice evening home?
  2. 100% agreed. A Sub must be 1:1 ...for me. That is because it is my primary love watch. In example, I have others for which I don't care: Ingy, PO, Explorer II....
  3. Maciek, no surprise that I say: buy a gen. µ Ever since I look at watches, the Sub has been my goal. Now that I have it, it will probably be the last I sell. But 4.400$ is a bit to high in my opinion. Why don't you try the r-l-x.de sales? It's a great place for you as not far away, so no taxes. Forget the US: you'll pay taxes anyway and I'm not sure the sellers are as "serious" as on the German forum. Anyway, get a genuine, if the watch is your fav or one of your fav...for all the others, stick to frankens EDIT: Us sellers maybe less serious with overseas buyers I mean. After all, once the watch is gone...
  4. I'm not sure if I may post here as we're the second day of the week But here is what I put on my wrist tonight

  8. 1002 and 1003 for me! Once again, you made it my friend...what a great trio
  9. Did I hear GTG ? I'd certainly consider to be in the UK if the agenda is quiet enough for me here The Eurostar should be affordable if booked ahead.
  10. I vote no too! But it's too bad for us of course but much better for the community. hmmm, I would say that if a raffle doesn't go well (too many unsold tickets) then why not though!
  11. Congrats man! I recently discover the DateJust and got one myself. It's a great watch and surprisingly not that small on the wrist. I like yours a lot: great dial. Good choice in my opinion. Enjoiy it! All the best Stephane
  12. Dito! I wonder if I ever will have the chance to stay there... I'm so in love with the old fashioned Waldorff Have a great stay in NYC! All the best, Stephane
  13. Thanks for sharing guys. One more proof that it is nearly impossible to know all about the vintage Rolex. One learn almost every day something new
  14. Wow, indeed! You kept the bezel though. I have it in a box and love the watch replaced with the current one. Funny how I like this watch, very unexpected as it's smaller than the subs
  15. Absolument! Congratulations Marty. Enjoy the honeymoon All the best, Stephane
  16. Thanks for opening this thread Lani. It's usefull to remind what kind of hobby this is and also to highlight that communication is the key of good relationship. Indeed, if communication stops, then it should be posted here for the community to be aware of what happens.
  17. According to my genuine dealer in the Netherlands, when the 1655 was released, as it did not sell, the largest Amsterdam AD offered a "transformer kit" so you could go from a Explorer to a GMT look !!! Ok, it's not helping the discussion on the best route, but it's a funny story? All this for 2 or 3K Pitty we weren't older and in Amsterdam in those years A photo of mine ? All the best, Stephane
  18. A 1680 week-end probably Have a good one guys.
