Thanks for your observations Ray.
Sounds like Rolex found a way to avoid "perfect reps" to be made from their new models.
Anyway, it took me ages to like the new GMTII but now I must admit it's a great looking watch.
And yes, size matters
You mean where the shit is this all thread going to ?
I don't like the way it's going to end
The topic is simple: a guy fucked up...chase him and convince him to make things right.
All the rest is unecessary bullshit & drama! Once again!
MyTwoBelgianFrancCentsWhichIsNotAlot.
Congrats for getting the real deal
It looks splendid.
Sorry for asking but did you own a rep of it?
If so, what are your observations in terms of feel...
The rep is great I wonder if the gen is trully different.
Cheers
Stephane
Great pics of a splendid watch.
I still don't understand why I never wore mine
You'll love it with the Swiss engine and double AR!
Both are indeed a must.
Have fun
Simple and beautifull!
I should start to chase a Pam I think.
Seing your Breitling I wonder why I still don't have a watch of that brand in my colection
Why the hell did I sold mine
Ok!
So this an open forum and we must share bad experiences.
It's not the first time I hear about issues with this EU AR run.
There is little the admin team can do really but there is a lot the community can do.
Please follow Pix advice and post your current situation about getting back your watches/crystals from Rocket
Let me add that 99,99% of the members of this community are thinking like Ubi.
Nobody I know would try to pass these wonderfull frankens for genuine.
In my humble opinion the high end reps/frankens seen here are not available elsewhere.
Surely not in the street!
But there is still a risk, so indeed buy the seller not the watch.
Good luck.
I sincerely think you made the right choice for your next project
It's difficult to answer your question in fact.
It depends on how close you want it to be to the real deal and of course how much you want to spend
One thing is sure: this place is the best one to source parts.
Post a WTB and you'll get replies from members wanting to part with their parts.
eBay isn't bad either or all the gen forums for dials in example.
I would say that you should start with a good dial first, and the hands of course.
That is how I build mine.
But be aware: it took me over a year to finish it
Good luck
@ Dluddly: thanks man. Love your 1655
@mrbigandwonderful : wow, that is a very classy one. Congrats.
Beautifull photo aswell
@Cats: yeah, this is how it should look indeed.
I've checked my MM 1680 white though, and honestly, it's impossible to spot if you don't have both and time to compare!
So, on the wrist...forget it!
@houndoggie : makes me want a Pam baddly!
No idea Nanuq...and I'm certainly not going to try on this one.
Mine is a "square one" (not the service one "beveled")
The tropic has been polished so much that it looks even better
Aged to the max.
I would have sreamed "sacril
Thanks a lot guys.
I traded ( as you can guess) because these ones are a little to expensive for my budget.
The icing on the cake is that it is a 1978 complete watch with a folded 9315 and a wonderfull polished original crystal in example.
No service parts except the crown!

and it carries a ....silver date wheel !
Oh my god
Oh no, the 16610 is never gonna go! It's such a complete package and my grail watch.
It all started with that Sub, so no way I would keep any watch other than the Sub.
I traded the 16600 (SeaDweller) for the 1680 + some
I lend this one to a great forum member for a while.
Apparently he liked it ...and so do I!
This is my JustAsGood 5513 with some custom work from MM and a gen 93150 "vintage" !
I love it
Thanks for taking the time Laz.
These are beautifull photos, once again.
And you are right (so is BT) the watch is amazing.
I would go for it right away after yout threads ...but I know I wouldn't wear it (again).
Or? Maybe you can send me yours for a trial period
