  1. Thanks Arty. I agree it looks the same watch to me... Anyway, the fun is that I'm building one with bits and parts from various sources. We'll see what it will look like. I'll keep you posted. @Doc: yes...a pitty that it take so much time to put a good one toghether but in the end it's what makes the hobby so exiting Cheers Stephane
  2. Now we finaly know who has the best sub
  3. Oh, yes Arty. Please. The Hompo one looks brilliant. But it seems impossible for us to buy it straight. Cheers Stephane
  4. Well, I must say I agree with the entire list The seadweller is a fantastic tool though and if it was me I would go for it on top of the list But the 16600 is not on your list so for the second choice I would recommend to go for a 16800 Matte Dial (if you can find a good example at an affordable price though). I'm with Alligoat here: it is going to be a true collector piece one day or another. It carries both of best worlds: vintage (matte dial and no 904L) and modern (Sapphire and quickset date) But of course, the 16610 is a great choice (and cheaper option too). Look for one with lugholes though. Anyway, I think you have years and years ahead of you to get them all as I don't believe the prices on the pre-owned market are going to double any time soon. Cheers Stephane
  5. Forgot to mention about this one who just arrived a few days ago. My one and only Breitling and I kinda like it a lot... for how long, that is another question Anybody selling a rubber band for this one?
  6. What a sad story and a huge mistake from Ofrei. I'm trully sorry for you Freddy. Stephane
  7. Back to the 16800 from 1999 today. Sorry no better wrist shot yet
  8. Thanks for taking the time BK. Well, it seems obvious indeed that the cases are not the same. But now I'm totaly confused: PT - MBK - Euro - WM9 ?! Which case is the same as which other one ?
  9. Merci pour le rapport Ziggy! Je ne savais pas que le fran
  10. Congrats on your choice. Be welcome @RWG and don't forget to post pics when you get the watch. Cheers Stephane
  11. Hi Waz1, Be welcome here. I'm afraid nobody will tell you that. Your question is almost impossible to answer because there might be several answers I guess. I have no idea what the best Corum is myself Can I kindly encourage yyou to read and search? You will probably find a lot of information. Cheers Stephane
  12. Great fun for sure... Expensive ? Oh let's forget that A warm welcome to you Dacco
  13. Hi Slimm, You said it: other than reading ... Well reading is for sure the way to go, searching too (upper right corner of your screen) . Nobody could really tell you who's the best dealer in fact. Everyone has his own opinion on one end and not every dealer is selling your dream watch on the other. That said, be more than welcome here. Cheers Stephane
  14. Hello and a warm welcome to RWG. As you seem to have narrow your search already to WM ...let me add 9. Currently the WM9 is reviewed by By-Tor and that topic sure can help you a lot Have fun, Stephane
  15. I am with Arty here Freddy. Incredible collection you're building. Fantastic detail: the 33 is amazingly well done. Cheers Stephane
  16. It might seem weird that I bump this review but as I just received a SOH I read it again and ...WOW It's a very very nice watch and I love it so far. But what is even nicer is to have members like SD4K to review it so well. B, if you're around, thanks for your contribution I'm missing you. Cheers Stephane
  17. Wow, this is the very first time I like a HBB. Nice photo!
  18. A little change for this morning. No Rolex (I wonder for how long )
  19. Sure TMG ! Add some more frustration to your RWG friends
  20. Very nice steel indeed. I have to recognize they all look great but I still prefer a vintage dial without the Comex printing. It makes the dial to busy in my humble opinion. Anyway, thanks for sharing your Comex Love
  21. To end the midweek, I'm wearing this 2 years old Noob Daytona tonight. The running seconds at 6 ae still working fine today Allthough I like the design very much, it is not worn that much! And a very poor wrist shot
  22. Fantastic photos of a great watch for sure! Thanks for sharing Bazz.
  23. I think it is a great idea from OffShore to open this thread. Like Diesel I have experienced one very bad experience because of my lack of knowledge. Another bad one probably because of the sum of work the modder had to do which pushed him to rush the process. Anyway, all other experiences I had with MM or Tribal, Rosnik's watchsmith and Omega are 100% perfect in the end. Even so, a modded watch may need a second trip to the modder for minor fixing of course. Not mentionning the incredible 196 I got from Kruzer and that was born in Ziggy's hands or the Ingy from Bazz ARed by Chief. Why am I listing the friends here? Not to promote them...but to show that most of them have no section anywhere as "official modder". So, my answer to you OffShore and to the community is: I'm not sure RWG needs such a section. In the end, even if takes months to establish relationship with some talents here, it's better to let everyone do so than to push new comers in the hands of an official modder who might disappear on day or another.
