Well, BK, if you do represent WM9's watches on the forum, it's good news in my humble opinion.
A member with a lot of knowledge proposing great watches is a nice and winning combo
Sure the hunt is great but man it takes a lot of time
Lani, I'm so happy your project goes forward and I'm sure Ziggy will be very good in making it come true .
I hope to be able to share a 1655 wrist shot with you one day on your beautifull island
There is something magic in the 1655 and the SnowFlake.
They are so "different" ...
I sincerely wish you a lot of success Lani
Warm regards,
Stephane
I almost can't believe I'm wearing this one tonight
It's a great looking watch in fact and I wouldn't mind having your opinion again on what is running inside the case
Exactly as Freddy says...no regulation in this hobby.
At least no "official" authority...only members from these forums can "try" to prevent others from scams
Wow, that is a seriously worn tool Nanuq!
Congrats on that.
I think your watches are a true example for the community and that's how our vintage reps should look!
Vintage and worn in fact!
Allthough I'm glad I never married anyone so far, I'd love to.
Must be an aging thing
Great looking couple Dave, congrats to you and Madame.
I sincerely wish you all the best.
Cheers
Stephane
Listen to your heart...if you like it, go for it
If you are not sure, wait, there are plenty of watches out there
Once again, I agree with you Alligoat.
When someone is questioning about your watch, wearing a gen makes you feel "confortable".
But, having said that, wearing a Rolex will allways raise questions about the authenticty
I really wonder which one will be the right combo.
I got a gen crown and tube in the package but I doubt both will fit.
When I have more information I'll let you know guys.
Sure S. I will keep you posted.
No matter what the case source is in the end
As long as in the end the result is cool...
In example, as I do not intend to show off or fool anybody, what is engraved between the lugs really don't bother me at all
Anyway, first step is done: lugholes That was quite a hard job though
Cheers
Stephane
Laz, my friend, as I said privately I am sincerely happy you got it
I think you made a fantastic choice and with Tribal's help a great deal.
Having a 16600 with the complete original set is certainly the best choice after your Explorer II to expand your collection
Congrats on the millestone too of course.
And I'm sure you will continue to look at gens aswell as Frankens
Cheers
Stephane
At all,
I've herited of TMG's MBW case and send it to drill lugholes.
The engraved model number is totally wrong (not that I really care ) and Omega doubt it is a MBW.
It's possible that Neil sold stuff that was not MBW in those times of course.
Next week the complete set (case and parts) should go to MM and we'll see what comes out of his inspection.
But, let me tell you all: this is the most exiting project I ever had!
It seems I might have to start it all over again several times to get it right without considering the viet case...
UNLESS: Girards comes with a new mystery source like the recent Tudor we all got ...
Cheers
Stephane
Hi all,
A good friend of mine is going to get one like this on his wrist very soon.
So, I felt like taking some more photos of it to share the love of it with him and the community
Cheers
Stephane
