  1. I am 100% with Laz here . Tritium should probably not glow after so many years. Having said that, remember we've read a lot of different situations about Tritium. Some dials glow longuer than others. Nothing is ever definitive. I'm not sure one could say "after x years, x months, x days, hours and minutes it should not glow anymore ". Maybe By-Tor or Ziggy can add their experience here

    1680's

That is a great idea Robbie. Mine is here: The Rolex 1680 Couple by MM: Red & White.

I cannot agree more with you Lani. A great vintage watch have to show it's experiences in life! Well, Freddy, you are right. But I just scratched the gen crystal of my 1680. Serious scratches! It was not intentional, but I love it even more now.
  4. Thanks for sharing and taking the time. Lots of photos I'm with you: a 1655 is great and I will be delighted to wear mine even though I'm pretty sure it is not going to be as perfect as Repaustria's one But you said it: gen parts are gen parts and pricey. Get a gen bezel would cost a leg almost Cheers Stephane
  5. I'm glad I didn't jump in. I was about to say 2nd one is gen, others are not
  6. Hmmm, once again the admin team is an admin team...for our forum. We do maintain, moderate and help as much as we can We are in no way involved in whatever transaction that is initiated on RWG though, sorry Having said that, in this matter (Jakub), it seems that is going the right route, isn't it? So let's cool down the pace (Gregory Isaacs, I love the ten inch ). Jakub started to send back the member's properties, I suppose he will continue.
  7. Good move Laz ! No Rolex fan can live without at least a vintage So, I'm back to Rolex too and I guess for a while
  8. I'm hungry now Welcome aboard. It seems you were very lucky to cross one of the best teacher out there. Enjoy your stay @RWG
  9. Can I send all my spare parts to you please? Maybe you can shake them in a bag and make a watch out of them Congrats ChefCook
  10. I have one watch back from Jakub today. Untouched. Weird as I sent that watch on behalf of a member I sold it to. Now I have to send the watch again to the member it belongs to
  11. Not really. But it would be funny if they serviced an eta!
  12. I love the photo a lot. Congratulation for your photoshop skills. It looks like a David Hamilton photo Very nice. Cheers Stephane
  13. This is what is inside my 16600 and that was recently serviced by Rolex
  14. Oh, ok, on the last list we had: FxrAndy + madame Slay Stephane + friend Lazarini B16a2 Scoobs Chronology1066 Sql_pl and Ola EarlGrey-erfurt VDB But today I am not sure who confirmed. I know some have said "maybe"... Cheers Stephane
  15. Well, these days there is no question about who to get "the currently best sub". I hate to say negative things but only WM9, Eurotimez, PT and BKLM1234 seems to offer something similar in accurancy. So, how about asking yourself what version do you want? With the Rolex-Rolex-Rolex-Rolex engraving on the rehaut or not? You said no mods ...you may also consider a pre-owned one from the sales section here... But, as Pug said, avoid our biggest recommend dealers at the moment. Their choice is huge and confusing and the prices aren't very good either... I do regret having sold my WM9 a lot. So in the end my choice would be to get a WM9 again. Cheers Stephane
  16. What update are you looking for ? The main news is WE ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN Come on fellows, join the GTG and live like James Bond for a week-end
  17. Welcome to RWG. Don't hesitate to open a topic if you have questions We all love genuine watches but we do also love to build Franken(stein). Copies that are so close to the real deal As you said, it's all about having many watches to choose from. You will discover that some of us have quite a few gens and show them to our community. But, some of us do never do so. The most surprising fact is most of us are not posting on gen forums Cheers Stephane
  18. A warm welcome to you. There are several guides you can read to learn more about our fantastic hobby. Don't hesitate to open a topic if you have questions There is no stupid questions only stupid answers sometimes Cheers Stephane
