I opened it up and found the start/stop and reset levels all out of whack. Slid all back into place and it works again! However it is poorly constructed and undoubtedly a time bomb. Need to keep my eyes open for a replacement.
So the chronograph on my dw 6239 finally quit. Still keeps time but chronograph have out. Should I look for another a7750 or look for a gen Swiss 7760 or.....? I LOVE the watch so I can't give up on it.
I honestly think if it is just a smidge deeper you have nailed it, and I bet you achieve that with this current spring because it isn't that far off...at least from my unprofessional, aging eyes on a photo viewed from my iphone. [emoji2]
Thanks guys. I am really impressed with this watch. I think I will ride this Movt until it gives out and then hunt down a gen Swiss and pay for a full manual conversion. I think this watch is worth it. Even nicer than I expected.

And I have to say, I LOVE IT! So much I am contemplating a gen swiss 7753 down the road. It currently is a7750 with rotor removed.
Anyone know where I can find the thicker DW caseback? If I go gen 7753 I would just assume leave it auto wind as I don't like hand winding watches not designed with that in mind.
I would say go for lighter engravings. So many vintage Rolex are almost impossible to even see the engravings anymore after years of bracelet rub etc.
Great work!
I would love to know this too. Looks like the movement is considerably thicker than the ETA 2836/46 with different stem height as well (not to mention slightly wider). Can't see it fitting in with proper stem height or caseback closing without a lot of work. Would love to know though because the thought of a gen-like lower beat combined with gen date wheel direction is VERY appealing.
