Gentle, that rotivator looks like it's never been used, absolutely no dirt on it anywhere! Nikki, if you get any more tats they're going to have to use white ink for any new ones so you can see them! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Kawasaki H2 with our new H2R type exhaust
fraggle42 replied to astonjenks's topic in General Discussion
Hi Andy, yeah, I've not been around much lately, I know. Been busy with life and a lack of funds for this watch hobby - having to convert a couple of gens back to cash at the moment as some big expenses in the house. Hey ho, I knew they were just an alternative to the zero interest paying savings account Just booked my Multistrada in for its MOT. I noticed I only did 375 miles last year, totally pathetic! At least the upside to that is it doesn't need its service yet Nanuq, that little scooter on those frozen roads round yours? I bet you need good reactions!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
My leg won't let me do physical hobbies nowadays, so hiking, camping, cycling are out. Nowadays it's motorbikes, cars, and lots of things with small engines in them, RC 1/8 and 1/5th cars, nitro 500 series helis, quadcopters. Also electronics and mechanical engineering stuff, CNC mills and lathes. Photography, gadgets. Also trying to learn to play guitar and keyboard (as in trying to remember to book the beginner lessons!) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Congratulations to all the new mods. Now who DOES make the best sub? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Making your own exhausts? I'm impressed, and envious!!! Road legal or race / track day use? Is sir going racing bikes soon? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Same as Mike, got a few gens with Selitas in them and no problems at all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I know I haven't been about this year, but still drop in to read from time to time and enjoying the watches I have. (Although the pile to be fixed / serviced is growing!!) Happy Christmas and New Year all! Richard Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Calling the ISS! Calling the ISS! This is NASA observatory. We have observed an unknown object travelling on a near miss course towards you, entitled WT1190F. The best resolution images we have seen appear to show the object as "rattle shaped", and it is closely followed by a "pram shaped" object that has the name "Mrs Blade" on the side of it. Please take all possible precautions until these objects have safely passed beyond the moons orbit. NASA out.

Might be the pictures but the lume on the hands and dial looks terrible.

Advice/assistance required with non paying member
fraggle42 replied to astonjenks's topic in General Discussion
Behaviour like this sucks, it really does. And to do it to a trusting, stand up member like AJ stinks. If the buyer was genuine they'd find the money, or ask the seller to hold the watch for whatever time it took, not send it and pay (whatever %age) later. Hope it gets sorted ASAP Andy, and that the member is named too. -
Are these a model in their own right? So that Aston Martin had to produce 'x' of them to be crash tested, etc, and then only built 10 to use in the film? I bet the film tickets are a bomb in that case!!

Amazing new Ninja H2 Bike arriving this week!
fraggle42 replied to astonjenks's topic in General Discussion
I'm 6'5" and had fun fitting on my 10R :) No, not a Mr Stalker, a Mr Murray and a Mr Champion. The former writes reviews for truck and bike mags, the latter done a couple of TTs, nutter. The Multistrada is nuts, love it more than the 10R. Top end a whole lot less but punchability is great. New rear tyre worn to the edges within 100 miles :) (in the dry, I'm not suicidal!) Amazing new Ninja H2 Bike arriving this week!
fraggle42 replied to astonjenks's topic in General Discussion
OoooOOOH! Can I have a go? Two of my biking mates have bought them, one a collector one a racer. I heard it's supposed to be comfier to ride (more room to pegs and bars) than my last bike, a 2006 ZX10R. Would be interesting to see how the power delivery compares to my Multistrada, 150BHP V twin. -

Sneaky, we can't see the timer! -
Hi all, I'm looking for one of these for the girlfriend. Anyone had one recently from any of the usual dealers and is happy with it? Must be a quartz (I'll get her onto proper movements eventually, but lets do reps of decent brands first ), and two tone bracelet and case and the diamond bezel and the 12/3/6/9 numbers on the dial (IIRC the date is in place of the 3). Any experiences (good or bad) very welcome!

Review Of The "ultimate" Planet Ocean 45mm
fraggle42 replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
Me thinks maybe a mod may want to preface the original review saying that the UPOs are no longer made and cannot be bought new anymore. Well, you may be able to find a dealer who can find one, but as they stopped making the UPOs years ago, whatever is knocking around now will either be one that was returned and has bee hiding in a dusty corner for a long while, or one made up out of a few returns that didn't work. I got one like this, and whilst OK, it certainly wasn't immaculate. A far better bet at the time of writing is the new ceramic POs in their many guises. -
Condolences to family and friends. Dealt with him once and a straight up, honest and good guy.

Get some of those unworn watches out and enjoy them Mike, and take pics for us to drool over Oh, you know that Oris Diver with orange highlights you had? Have you got a link to a picture of that? Been looking around for one but there's a few models with the small second dial in slightly different places and different looks.

Looks very nice that Andy, it looks quite thin too but I'm wondering if it's more to do with the 47mm diameter than the actual depth.

Does sir not fancy a nice condition vintage 24ct gold one? http://www.chrono24.com/en/eternamatic/vintage-gold--id2447655.htm?manufacturerIds=89&picnum=0&tab=pics&urlSubpath=%2Feternamatic%2Findex.htm Or maybe http://www.chrono24.com/en/eternamatic/les-historiques--id3269503.htm?manufacturerIds=89&picnum=0&tab=pics&urlSubpath=%2Feternamatic%2Findex.htm

Looking at the numerous minute screw holes, mounting points and specially formed inside of the case to hold all the bits and pieces https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Apple+Watch+Teardown/40655 I really don't see how anyone could replicate it without the new case costing more than the watch itself. Of course if money is no object I'm sure there's people out there who'll try to make one for you, but in CF I'm guessing there will be quite a few aborted attempts before they find out how to make one.

Important annoucemet regards my status regarding current work
fraggle42 replied to SSTEEL's topic in General Discussion
My condolences to you and all your family Mickey. Remember the good times and the good and fun times you've had with your Mum. Celebrate her life! And definitely send that group email out, doesn't need details, but do state you'll be "off line" for 'x' weeks and you won't be reading any emails or working until your return, "thank you for your understanding, etc, etc."
