  1. Nice piece, looks like a DW! If I were you would get a ruby bezel (she also has the correct one with flat S sometimes and otherwise get it from MQ). Dial is not too bad, would stick to it and eventually replace the coronet on the dial with a gen one. Last but not least, top it off with a gen t21 and you have a pretty sweet piece! good luck
  2. Not an easy build for sure but if you endeavor I highly recommend to go the v726 route. The v726 has the correct beat rate and you will not need to glue any subdial hand onto the dial, which I would never recommend for high end builds. Afaik the v23 is not much cheaper than a v726 with a bit of luck. Best will be to search for a donor watch, as naked v72 usually sell for quite a premium over full watches. Stem you will need one that fits the rolex crown, phong sells them and probably the easiest way to get them. Good luck!
  3. Thanks mate! so far nothing but patience usually pays off right
  4. Hi fellow watch aficionados, Probably a long looong shot, but worth a try 😊 I am looking to up the game to the last and final level with a nice gilt Ivan/ DL 4-liner dial for a 5512 pcg and a silver 6263 big red dial. If someone has something like that magically in the drawer and would be willing to part it or could direct me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Would also be nice to see some nice pics of some gilt subs and 4-digit Daytona builds here, be it DL, VN or Gen dial hehe. Cheerio
  5. Doing a similar build but no luck to fit in the eta 2846. I removed the date parts but still like 1mm too much. Anything more I can remove? Nicw build btw!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I paid 315$ for mine this year directly from him! Hope it helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hahahaha 100% Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Sad story and super sorry to hear mate! O boy is a slippery slope especially for honest sellers as ebay & paypal are 100% pro buyer and the decide quickly against you as a seller without having any clue about watches or parts ofc. Yet, this is far from legal and I would put in legal efforts if I were you. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Simple, get a 16520 preferrably with tritium dial and wait a few years and have it appreciate in value. Almost impossible to rep and relatively rare compared to the later models. Oh and a beautiful timeless design on top! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have found this very nice genuine set of vintage tritium hands that where sold to me as sub hands. However, the minute hand seemed very long to me and once measured it turned out that it actually is 13mm (from mid pinion to tip). However, there is not much info about hands so I wanted to ask the experts. Is this hand set exclusively for the 1016 explorer or where there other models using a bit longer minute hand too? From my understanding the standard sub minute hand is 12mm. Any input is appreciated
  11. Always nice to see 4 digit tona builds coming to life! Here one of my v726 buids. Parts are still available but prices are constantly going up..keep us posted mate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This is gen but be careful about bait and switch etc. what‘s the price tag? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Very nice! Congrats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. very nice but a gen dial would still be hell of an upgrade! may I ask where you got the bracelet from?
