Open the back up to see if there is a foreign body in there. It has been known for an rogue/extra screw/part to of accidentally found its way inside during manufacturing.
Welcome back my friend, I too was away for several years. Many things have changed, some not so much. All the answers to your questions can be found by looking around, and you will see plenty of scope on your answers
Thanks for those photos Mike, much appreciated as I too am planning on similar to op's plan, but in my case, simply correcting a couple of markers which are out of alignment slightly. I'm under the impression, when I remove these, I will need to make one of the holes slightly bigger to allow fine adjustment before gluing back into position from the dial back.
Check the thread below over on RWI, your case number is mentioned, and some info there maybe of help to you..

Are you serious? It's easy. Invest in some precision screwdrivers, good quality, and then you can do it yourself for the same cost, plus you will have your first tools for your hobby
Look closely at your bracelet links, and you will see that on the one side of a few links, a small flat screwdriver head. Using a good quality small screwdriver, unscrew a couple of screws, one at a time, and remove a link, then refitting by reinserting one of the screws. It will become self explanatory as soon as you realise.
I think you answered your own question there, here's a snap from the video...
The later pearls are as above, Luminous, and the earlier ones, (flush) were Tritium.
Looks a good action film. Surprised Jean Reno is not in it, but guessing he's getting on a bit. Looks kind of similar to The Professional.
Now to find this film with English subs.
