  1. Hello The watch used was not the donor but a cheaper bracelet ended up being a partial donor for half a bracelet. The OEM and the better half bracelet and the better watch where main contributors. The hardest to find is the OEM UTC module and special link. Saw it on German e-bay and hesitated and it was gone, took another year and half to locate a real one. I looked for some time and found a real OEM UTC Module, as I mentioned I was impressed with the 7750 Evolution as the module snapped right in place with no drama. It would have been so much easier if the sellers had made a UTC module version. No seller on the board even thought that a Evolution UTC replica existed and my contact in NY located a white one (module of no use but the bracelet came in handy). All in all it was a long but satisfying search. Timeshare
  2. Thanks so much for posting the photos. Sorry to the members on the bad photos but they are better than none!! In answer to the bracelet question, half the bracelet (the UTC module side and the clasp) is from a cheaper replica which luckily had screws and the the 12" O'clock side is from the bracelet that came with the Evolution (I could not use the cheaper replica bracelet on the 12 O'clock side as the end link would not fit tight against the case). So in all the watch required the following: - higher end replica Evolution watch, - half of the original bracelet (12 O'clock side down to clasp but not including clasp), - half of a cheaper UTC bracelet (6 O'clock side that attaches to utc Module - they are rare but their are lower end Evolution watches out there with the UTC and bracelet but my seller could only find a white one), - an OEM Evolution UTC module and OEM special link. As I mentioned in the first post - alot of work and searching to put my Evolution together. TimeShare
  3. After a very long search I finally found an Evolution analog UTC Module (I call it the Evolution UTC Module as the Breitling Evolution watch requires a special link to attach the module to the watch - the special link is etched "UTC" on the top where it attaches to the watch case). In addition, after a long search I located a UTC Breitling bracelet. For a while I felt like I was trying to find the HOly Grail as these two items were very elusive and 2 Breitling AD's I tried to use to find the UTC module were useless (one in Beverly Hills and one in NY) and I had to chase after both of them to get answers - not good service Breitling!! I was concerned that after all my work that the OEM UTC model with the special link would not fit but I was quite impressed with the fit on my Breitling Evolution (one of the top models sold by Eddie when he was still around). It snapped right in with a perfect fit and no bending of spring bars or other nuisances. I guess in this case 1:1 was true. I have tried the watch and UTC on a black OEM Breitling Sharkskin UTC strap made for the deploy as I thought the UTC would show up more but I decided on the Breitling UTC bracelet based on a better fit for my wrist. I do not know how to post photos but if someone is willing to post them for me I will send them to you. TimeShare
  4. Don't know that much about HBB but am looking to purchase one finally. What is the difference between the HBB lite and the HBB regular. They appear to be the same, is it weight or quality? Thanks, TimeShare
  5. Aaron Tan can do one.........check does your have the quick release lever? TimeShare
  6. Please quit showing that Diver or I am going to have to buy one. Fabulous watch, love the look!! TimeShare
  7. The Monaco is a great watch. I have 3 of the Tag Heuer versions - 1)Blue Dial, 2) Black Dial limited Edition with 3 subdials but only Heuer on the dial and 3) a Black Dial Limited Edition with 2 subdials and just Heuer on the dial. They are great watches and the square case catches the eye and I never fail to get comments about the watches. I recently discovered a new combination that looks great - Tag makes a white perforated deployant strap for the ladies Monaco. A bit of research revealed that the strap was the same length as the mens straps so I purchased a white strap and dyed it black and now I have a strap with a racing heritage (perforates strap) and can still use the deployant buckle from Tag. 8. How many of you have rep or gen UTC modules, I ve got two for my evo. You have 2 UTC Modules and the special link needed to attach the UTC MOdule to the Evo. If so you are lucky as I have been search for a black one and the special link to no avail!! In answer to your question: I have a UTC Module and the special link for my real Breitling Navitimer and I have a rep UTC module for my Headwind. I love the look of the UTC Module (especially on a leather strap as the module is more noticable then on a bracelet). I do not know why Breitling phased out their non-digital UTC module as a non-digital Breitling with a digital UTC Module looks dumb beyond belief!! Cheers!! TimeShare
  9. There were alot of posts about the unreliability of the running seconds at 12 AP ROO Chronographs. Has this problem been solved on the new AP ROO Chronographs (safari) or is the problem the same? TimeShare
  10. Is anyone aware of a seller that sells a Breitling Evolution with the analog UTC (not digital)? I did not think they existed but I saw a replica (white dial not blac as needed) which had the UTC Module and the special link (etched with "UTC") which is required to attached the UTC to the Breitling Evolution case. Any help would be appreciated. TimeShare
  11. Yes, a very nice watch. The same one that Andrew sells. Both sells did themselves a disservice with the dark pictures but the watch is very high quality and has the best lume (blue) of any rep I have bought!! Well worth the money!! TimeShare
  12. Any of the sellers you listed are known and trusted on this forum. Look under the sellers on the main page and you will see them. TimeShare
  13. Which seller? TimeShare
  14. I have been trying to get a hold of PT for some time using e-mail, does anyone know where he has got to? TimeShare
  15. Not sure it will work but when some of the Board members bought the rubber strap for the Planet Ocean and it was bending and pulling away at the case they installed wider/thicker spring bars and reinstalled the strap. If you look on e-bay you will see spring bars at 0.5mm and 0.8mm and the thicker spring bar may solve the problem on your watch. Check first before you buy that the Porsche Design strap doesn't require a curved spring bar rather than the regular straight spring bar. Hope this helps, TimeShare
  16. There use to be available a number of Breitling 6.75 with the big date at 12 and the constant sweeping hand at 3. It was available in a number of dial colors was reliable and then it just diappeared. What happended? TimeShare
  17. I was considering purchasing a real Tag Monaco Steeve McQueen version in blue, until I went to look at one, and wasn't really impressed with the quality for that kind of money (about $2900.) Only 17 Jewels, SS, leather band, etc. Ron Can't agree with you about not being impressed with the real Monaco. I had a replica McQueen Monaco (constant sweeping large red second hand) on a OEM dark blue Tag deploy strap/buckle and I constantly received more comments on that watch than any other one in my collection (replicas of Breitling Bentleys, Panerai, Rolex, Chopard, AP). I ended up buying a real Tag Heuer Monaco McQueen (Blue dial with white subdials) on the bracelet. The watch has been very reliable and the watch goes with everything (suits to jeans) and I receive positive comments on the watch at least once a week. Despite the size and unique aspects of Panerai and others, the Monaco's square case is eye catching and still cutting end. Buy the rep and you will end up owning the real thing!! TimeShare
  18. Looking at a number of the regular sellers I do not see any Richard Mille watches. Anyone know of a seller who carries Richard Mille watches? TimeShare
  19. I have only had a passing interest in the Hublot Big Band but I am seriously considering buying one now. What is the difference between the Big Band and the Big Bang "Lite'"? There is quite a price difference. You advise is appreciated. TimeShare
  20. I bought one with the Asian 7750 and it has been a great watch with no problems for some time now. TimeShare
  21. Why is the strap sticky? I have to admit it made me wonder why it was sticky when it arrived (no dirty comments please I have already thought of them). TimeShare
  22. I will remember him for being instrumental in helping keep ChampCar alive for so many years and refusing to allow Carl Haas to move the team, he had partial ownership of, to the inferior product of IRL (Indy Racing League) to help fuel Tony George's greed (interestingly as he was battling lung cancer the ChampCar battle ended....related??). I meet him and saw him a few times over the years at a number of the races I have attended (Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Laguna Seca, etc). He always wore the same white sweatshirt, wrangler jeans and outdated sunglasses (and a 6263 Rolex with the crown unwound). He genuinely was not a human being that was full of himself (which could have been easy given his background) and at the races was interested in only the race. If you wanted to talk to him discuss racing not acting!! I will miss him as a racer. I imagine he is in heaven driving the Sharp Datsun looking for an opening, any opening, from the driver in front of him!! Drive on Mr. Newman!! TimeShare
  23. When I bought my straps from strapluxe they came from California. TimeShare
  24. Actually, the use of the inter-plastic could be true of the IWC OEM version also. I have the OEM Brown Buffalo BP strap and was very surprised and diappointed at the quality of the leather and the military brown color for the money (the black croc IWc OEM strap is much better). I actually have a few aftermarket BP straps from HK Tan, Strapluxe, etc that I would rank as better than the OEM BP strap for color, custruction and cost. TiemShare
