  1. I had the black dial in V1 of this 42mm watch (not the right bezel and too small of crown) but decided to go with the White Explorer II from Andrew. You can see the QC pictures for my watch on Andrews site at the bottom of the regualr pictures for the item. Interestingly, the QC pictures show a much closer match to the orange color on the dial and the orange GMT hand then did Joshs or Andrews regular pictures. TimeShare
  2. I think the difference between the GMT hand color and the "Explorer II" font color may just be the pictures. I bought one from Andrew and the QC pictures show a good match between the orange color of the GMT hand and the "Explorer II" font color. I am sure it is the same model. Even if it ends up being different or slightly different it is an easy fix (paint the GMT hand a matching color). Otherwise, I am impressed with the watch and having the proper lume is a big plus as normally I have to have The Zigmeister work his magic on the lume (perhaps this time it will be the GMT hand - I will see when I have the watch in hand). 3. AP ROO's and other AP's are known for not having a half link to allow a better fit. As such, you either luck out and it fits or you have a too tight or too loose heavy watch. On one of the genuine forums, I read that AP sells a (1/2) half link to get a better fit but it has to be bought as an aftermarket custom order from a dealer and the watch serial number must be provided (unless the AD forgets to ask). I have a small wrist and I have the same problem - either too tight or too loose on the bracelet (very annoying), Not a solution l prefer but one way I have dealt with it is too have the link in that makes it too loose and then use Dr. Scholl's moleskin (which comes with a sticky side) and put that on the case back. Moleskin is thicker but has some compression so it works. Unfortunately you can't hand the watch to someone to look at because of the moleskin but it does work and allows you to wear the watch comfortably. AP needs to go a long way on getting better fit with their bracelet watches (like including a half link) and making strap changes easier (they are a pain in the a**) right now to change straps on. 4. Nice watch but look at the dust in the white box they used to take the picture. Gives you a sense of why the movements are often so dirty when cleaned and serviced properly. TimeShare
  5. Link would be good........................ http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_350&products_id=7993
  6. I see Andrew/Trusty has a new Deepsea. Here is part of the description of the watch from the site: "The Ultimate Version of DeepSea ...Same Deep rehaut as Genuine. Crisp Engraving within Lugs, Excellent Pearl and Lume on Dial... Correct 10 on bezel.....Updated Bevelled Edge Date Window....Parts interchangeable (Except Dial and Movt) interchangeable with the Genuine... Installed with New Breed 1 : 1 Asian Premiere Clone 2836-2 Movement" Interested in the watch but after buying 2 so-called ultimate Deepsea watches, I hesitate to buy another but the watch fonts and pearl looks very good. I would appreciate members thoughts on the accuracy and the Asian 1:1 ETA clone 2836-2 movement reliability. Also, you thoughts on what is not right with the watch would be appreciated. TimeShare
  7. I bought a TW Steel watch in pink gold (the TW Steel CEO Tonneau). A Richard Mille looking watch which I bought as I liked the look, there are no good Richard Mille reps and the TW looked good. While the watch has operated fine I would be the first to admit that it was way over priced ($500 plus) for a watch with a inexpensive quartz Miyota 0S25 movement. TW Steel service is not very good either. I have enquired twice about another leather strap to have on hand and the 1st enquiry went unanswered and the second enquiry was answered but after I responded as to the distribution area I was in it went quiet. My guess is that the cost of the watch is to cover the cost of sponsoring Renault F1 and several race drivers like David C, Dario F and a few others. Also, to cover the cost of the TW Steel girls that are sent to each F1 races for promotion. TW Steel really is hype over substance. TimeShare
  8. Nice. I tried to mount the metal bracelet (one I had for a ROO) and could not get it to fit. One screw would go in but the other 3 screws went in about 3/4 of the way but would not screw down. I hate AP's for strap changes. TimeShare
  9. Actually, I think the flatter pearl is more accurate. A bit of research previously on my part shows that a flatter pearl with only a slight dome is accurate. TimeShare
  10. I had the same problem. I like the look of AP ROO but between the Pain in the a** process to change straps and the deploy small screw I am coming to really dislike AP ROO. It seems to me that AP has purposefully made simple aspects of their watches more difficult to force customers back to AD. Anyone who has changed an AP ROO strap compared to say a Panerai knows what I mean!! TimeShare
  11. Your link did not work, just gave me Joshua's main home page. I think your question is what do we think of the new Monaco LS with a 7750 movement? The watch looks accurate but the case is not 1:1. The OEM watch takes a 22mm band and the rep is 24mm. In addition, I do not believe that the watch comes in any other dial color than black - so the brown, blue and white versions are not accurate. I have tried the OEM watch at an AD and while it is only 40.5m wide it is a big watch and very top heavy based on how thick it is (something like 19mm). TimeShare
  12. I have quite a few Breitlings. The Super Avenger, the Chronomat with UTC, 6.75, Bentley GT and the Montbrilliant Legende and I would suggest the Legende. The Chronomat B01 is a nice watch but nothing special. The Legende at 46mm is a large watch that wears well and is very noticeable. I have both the black face and the white face and prefer the white face with the dark blue bezel ring. TimeShare
  13. The situation is beyond stupid. I ordered a watch on December 20th and asked that it be sent by Fed Ex. On Dec 22 it arrived in Memphis and since then has gone missing (my x-mas gift to a Fed Ex Employee I don't know). So I ordered a replacement and it was shipped by EMS in China and supposedly left China on Jan 8th (left the country = sitting in large warehouse somewhere). Fast forward to Jan 26th and still nothing on the tracking other than the parcel left on Jan 8th. Just to prove that I do not learn easily, I ordered another watch the other day and asked that it be shipped by airmail before the chinese new year and the seller agrees and then sends me an email with a EMS tracking number which will probably sit in a warehouse until after the Chinese New Year??!! The outcome - I think I am done with this hobby!! I have enought frustration in my life without paying for it!! I will just live with the reps I have. TimeShare
  14. I agree with Hooky. Never send it back, find someone to fix it and have the seller send part(if neccsary) but sending a watch back to China (in particular) will be a frustrating, time comsuing and unsuccessful transaction. Minimize your frustration and just get it fixed.
  15. Dan Yes, real alligator and a genuine Panerai movement. 1st rule of reps is "all straps (not bracelets) that come on reps are in need of replacement". The strap look fine is some case but feel and wear poorly!! Daylights
  16. Nice watch. I have resisted for some time but finally bought it. I have a genuine T3 Box and genuine T3 alligator strap I have picked up over the years on ebay and I look forward to putting on the strap and setting the watch in the proper box. Hopefully, the watch does not look comical on my smaller wrist!!
  17. Actually the OEM does have black lume as does the silver theme version. Yes, there is black lume!!
  18. "Sadly, mine came with a little srcatch on the orange pusher... oh well." Mine came with the rotor unattached. QC isn't the best. TimeShare
  19. Looking at the photos a lot of you scare me. What ever happened to just keys, wallet and or a money clip and a nice watch? When did knives and guns become standard issue?!?! If you have an issue talk don't stab or shoot!! TimeShare
  20. So a few weeks ago I stopped by the local AD to take a look at watches. The AD had Cartier, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Bvlgari, Chopard, Rolex, Raymond Weil, etc (no OP). In the window in the the shop (locate in the world's 2nd largest Shopping Mall - guess where I live?); I saw a blacked dialed Breitling Montbrillant Legende and was awe struck (for our American friends that is different than "Shock and Awe" - see Bush lies in Wikipedia). When I went home I checked Andrew's site (always treated me right and no quality or other problems in 20 plus watches). I was surprised to see the case size of 47mm and the different bracelet (how did I miss this watch) and Andrew's description that the watch rep was "immaculate". I ordered the watch and it arrived the other day. I have a number of real Navitimer watches (which seemed big say 11 years ago!!) but was really impressed at the watch I received. I simply cannot find a difference from the real watch - go through the checklist - raised Breitling wings on the clasp (check), gold hands and subdial hands (check), double AR (check), thicker crown (check), much larger than the Navitimer, (check). This is one amazing watch and while I mentioned I have 20 plus watches from Andrew, I probably have 75 other watches from Eddie (when he sold) and other real watches. Take a look at this watch on Andrew's site (trusty watch guy on google) or other sellers and you will see what I mean. I know. Show me the pictures. I am older and do not know how to post pics but if someone is willing to post pics I can send them to you. Great watch. Plan to have Congac aroound the tree and admire this watch!! TimeShare
  21. Great watch. P makes the msot eye catching and stunning watches. 1st rate watch and strap combination. Very good taste...................ENJOY!! TimeShare
  22. Thanks. I have seen posts with 22mm and others with 21mm. Glad it is 22mm as it allows me to use a HkTan 22mm Big Pilot like strap. Curtis
  23. Does the Top Gun (V2) use a 21mm or 22mm strap at the watch case? TimeShare
