  1. Very good choice going with the Black Bay. It's a stunner! Wear in good health my friend! :drool
  2. Wow!!! Love that Black Bay Deckard!!! So beautiful. Wrist shots please! :)
  3. Thanks AJ, loving that sunburst blue dialed-PAM!
  4. It's finally here! The official end of a scorching hot summer. It seems like only yesterday it was Memorial Day. Have fun and be safe :-) Happy Labor Day to everyone across the pond.
  5. There's Joe and John who I've heard work on reps however I've not confirmed it for myself. Their web address is: http://watchrepairblog.co.uk/ Personally I would strongly recommend Rolexman. He's servicing all of my watches and with him based close by in the Netherlands, it's only a quick trip to the local Postoffice. There are pretty much no customs issues and his service and turnaround speed are superb. I'd send Rolexman a PM to see when his next open slot is and take it from there.
  6. I know it sucks but hold tight my friend. I had a gen watch that was shipped from the States and held in customs for over a week. Eventually it was released and I had a bill to pay £20 VAT (including a handling charge).
  7. Very good work and great results mate. I'll be contacting you for any lume jobs in the future :-)
  8. I agree with Mike that it's always nice to have some interaction from the dealers on the forums. Being new to the forum and rep world I had no expectations of getting much conversation from the dealers as to upcoming models, etc however I am rapidly seeing the advantages of getting such info. I appreciate Toro help and advice and Sead's participation and I do believe it makes sense to give our business to those dealers who look out for us.
  9. That's a very nice watch Richard, I'm envious :-) I've actually been considering the YM for a while now and your pictures are making me want it even more! Enjoy my friend.
  10. From what I know so far, too much oil (lube) can be as damaging as too little. It increases drag (friction); I know that sounds counter-intuitive but that's weirdly what happens. You could also end-up inadvertently adding lube into areas that shouldn't have any and hence cause the movement to gunk-up. All the watch oils I have seen are incredibly fine, far finer than machine oil and my guess would be this lube could cause more harm than good. Taking a proactive approach is a great move however you would be gutted if it ended up damaging your movement and the oil seeped onto the date wheel meaning the whole thing needed to be cleaned/replaced.
  11. Also got my freshly serviced UPO back from Rolexman today so I'm double-wristing it!
  12. Got my freshly serviced Pam 359 back today from Rolexman and it's looking so nice I just had to put it on :-)
  13. A short film about the fragility of the art of watchmaking Hope you enjoy it as much as I did
  14. Yikes, that's pretty shocking and disturbing. Think I'll stick with the m2m sales section here rather than risk getting my face punched by some yobs.
  15. I haven't heard of the regulator arm being moved/adjusted to help get a A7750 get going again if it suddenly stops however I'm not 100% sure. I think the most likely cause would be a loose screw that's gone into the gear train and managed to jam-up it up. I'd recommend removing the Chrono layer to get a better look to see whether there is a screw jammed in somewhere it shouldn't be. Sometimes giving the watch/movement a sharp tap can help knock the problem-screw out and get the watch working again.
  16. +1 to this question. I've been wondering the same thing myself. Any ideas would be great. SSteel, I'm hoping to get a drill press within the next few weeks and will try a few things to see if I can drill the lug holes on these types of "half-drilled" lugs. I'll report back back with any progress I make.
  17. I appreciate the very kind words my friend, it's incredibly generous of you to say and I have to say that it was my honour to have you wear the watch. The Seamaster looks amazing and we have Bamcky2k to thank for that. At only three weeks old, the watch was brand new and with the modded pearl, even better than new! The wrist shots look amazing and I'm really happy that you liked it. Wear it in good health my friend and I thank you :-) And thank you Deckard. Hopefully we can meet up again soon!
  18. What was that yellow watch Eddie Jordan had on?
  19. That's an butch, tough looking watch mate and your pictures are just amazing! I didn't previously have the Sinn U1 in my to-get list however now your awesome pictures of this great watch are rapidly making me want it :-)
