  1. It is surprising that the others are not having any issues. Has there been any progress of late in finding a suitable alternative payment option and is there anything us members can do to help the Team? I feel like a spare appendage here, just hanging limply, unable to do anything. If the team needs any help please ask and I'll do what I can on my end. I'm sincerely hoping this issue gets resolved soon. We should also have a contingency payment system pre-set with a different company for the future as this will undoubtedly not be the last time we have this issue.
  2. I second this proposal. We need to minimise the number of reasons (excuses) an online payment processing company can have to stopping us from using their service. Sticking to our core purpose here will help ensure the longevity of the forum. I'll just resort to using my vivid imagination for those other things ;-)
  3. Come on guys, between all of us, we have more than enough business experience to help figure this one out. For online payment systems surely we could utilise one (or more) of the following; Authorize.net: http://www.authorize.net/ Google Checkout Dwolla: https://www.dwolla.com/ Stripe: https://stripe.com/gb Braintree: https://www.braintreepayments.com/ 2Checkout: https://www.2checkout.com/ There are numerous possibilities. Granted not all of them will be feasible, but surely using an imperfect alternative is more suitable than RWG going down the pan... And who says we must stick to only using one system. In the world of finance diversification equals safety. We tried putting all our eggs into the PayPal basket. Now we need to play the game smarter and be more adaptable to the changing payment world.
  4. Sorry to hijack this thread. What are our options? Surely there must be something us members can do to help. If Amazon payments are a no-go then how about Clickbank or Google Checkout? There are always options and alternatives, we just have to find them. Letting RWG go down is not an option.
  5. The addresses for the sites listed might need updating. These are the Hublot links to each site; Trusty's is: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=279 Puretimes's is: http://www.puretime.co/category/hublot/ Toro's is: http://www.torobravos2013.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=34 $438 dollars is a lot but that's what some of the higher quality Hublot reps are going for. You could get one around the $350 mark but I cannot tell you how good the quality is. I'm sure they are really good reps as well. I've not heard of inwatchsale.com and I'd not take any chances with them. You may never receive a watch with them. I'd stick with the TD's listed here.
  6. Beautiful watches there! Just wondering what made you go for the Marlin version when you already had the Eddie Lee version? I'm currently on Marlin's waiting list and I cannot wait to get one. They look stunning. My preference would be the one with the lighter coloured strap. The movement looks cleaner and slightly better. Is that the Marlin version?
  7. Excellent post and very good information. Thank you automatico.
  8. I'm very happy with the 372 body as it comes. Only the god-awful leather strap needs changed however that's relatively small issue. The rest seems great to my eyes.
  9. For me, currently the list looks like this; Pam 127 - Marlin modded IWC Big Pilot Pam 388 Pam 386 Tudor Black Bay IWC Portuguese - If they ever fix the seconds@6 issue Tag Calibre 16 16700 GMT-Master
  10. It is a gorgeous timepiece though somewhat of a contradiction in itself. It's a dainty behemoth of a watch! I do love it though and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they do rep it.
  11. That's great news! Congratulations! You've got to show us some pictures as well. Yep, you've got the watch-collecting sickness now! Welcome to the club!
  12. Glad to have been of help mate :-)
  13. I've used E6000 jewellery glue in the past however I think GS Hypo Cement is supposed to be the best for watches; http://www.gshypocement.com/ Hope this helps mate.
  14. As far as I know they deliver to Sweden. The Trusted dealers are all good. My only recommendation would be, once you've found a watch you like, email them to check it's in stock before placing your order. Then just sit back, enjoy the QC pictures, and wait for the watch to be delivered.
  15. Welcome to RWG Tarzann. There are several trusted dealers whom we recommend for reps. These dealers are listed half way down the homepage. The more popular dealers are; Trusty, Angus, Trevor and Toro, all of which you'll find on the main page. Happy shopping!
  16. Temporarily wearing this beautiful Seamaster that arrived from Bamcky2k today before it makes it's way across the pond.
  17. Looks so nice and the colour works really well with the Gold hands.
  18. +1 to that. I may just be a newbie here however I'll support the forum whatever route Admin takes.
  19. Bergies is alive and well from what I know. I ordered a pair of shoes a few weeks ago and after a couple of pm's to-and-fro I received the stunning pair of shoes.
  20. It's unbelievable that they took issue over the nudies. Ah well, live and learn. Clickbank might be a suitable alternative if Amazon is a non-starter. Their ability to have a subscription service would tie in quite nicely with us.
  21. I simply love that rose gold Big Pilot! I knew the shipping could be quick but I've yet to experience it as being that quick!
  22. This is concerning news... I agree that Amazon Payments are an excellent alternative and viable for our use. Skrill (aka. Moneybookers) are almost a PayPal clone and could also be useful: https://www.moneybookers.com/app/ Google Checkout are also supposed to be very good. Here's some blurb about their service (taken from techtoucan.com); Google’s own Checkout service offers you a simple way to accept payments online for virtually any kind of product including digital goods, physical products or online services. In many ways Google Checkout is one of the best Paypal alternatives thanks to it’s ease of setup and similar range of features to Paypal which includes not just simple credit card processing but also the ability to email out invoices/money requests if you’re dealing with clients. Payouts to your bank account are some of the fastest in the industry; roughly two days on average; and these transfers to your bank account are carried out automatically by Google in stark contrast to Paypal where one needs to not only request the transfer of money to your bank account but also wait a considerable time for this to be processed. Another one is Clickbank; Clickbank has a long-established pedigree in the “digital sales” market and are ideal for selling ebooks, software, membership site subscriptions and any other downloadable product you can imagine. They offer repeat billing (for subscription products) and a very simple application and set-up process. Clickbank has also come a long way in the last few years in terms of features to help you grow your business. Not only can you add your own logo and product-photo to your order form and to create upsell pages to increase your revenue. Clickbank also provides the facility to charge your customers a small initial fee (such as a dollar) and then the balance of the price at a later date (such as a month later). This may sound like an insignificant feature but in testing we’ve found it can significantly increase your overall sales volume thanks to the low risk that new customers take when buying from you. These additional features mean that for digital goods not only is Clickbank a valid alternative; in many ways it’s actually even better because of the opportunities to easily increase your bottom line. Payouts from Clickbank vary depending on your sales volume. Most accounts start out receiving their earnings every two weeks though it’s normally simple enough to change this to weekly payouts. I'm sure there are enough alternatives to keep us going. Hopefully we can find something.
