  1. Absolutely yes. Just take a look at Lani's collection (nice) and don't tell me you do not want one on your wrist.
  2. Just saw this at Honpo's. Finally, its been a long time coming. I remember B-barrel made some AMG like reps back in the day. The case on this one is 40mm though....
  3. Just saw on Honpo's site of a Valjoux 7750 Daytona white dial (there are other dials too) with seconds at six. Anyone know how this compare to the gen?
  4. The first reps that hit the 700 plus mark is the 196 with 7753 or any model with this movement. There was another that went close to 1k. Anyone remember when the Piaget Upstream rep first came out? Everyone went nuts over this rep. How about when the first modified A7750 with seconds at 6 for the Daytona came out? No one believed that it was or could be a modified 7750. Ahhh...the good ol days....
  5. Ture. The first really good rep came from Wade - the blue Omega SMP. In today's standard, this good rep is full of flaws. The dial is not crisp and clean but you can see the wave pattern nicely. Quality has gone up and prices remained about the same. So collecting reps today is really better than what it was before.
  6. Very nice pics. Impressed about your attention to detail Andrew.
  7. That is really interesting if it did peel off. Got any pics to share?
  8. Wow that is indeed a very beautiful watch. Would love to have one. Does anyone know if the rep movement has been fixed - the 12 oclock gear against metal?
  9. Nice collection. A blue dial and strap RB just came out. It looks really nice. The case is TI and fromt PT's pics, that dirsty, smudged look has real appeal to it.
  10. That is definitely nice. It looks awesome! A blue version - dial and strap just came out and that is just as good. Forking the $$ for this is tough price is almost the price of eta7753 reps.
  11. There's been a few really good reps that came out recently sporting the A7750 and some modified. But when you take a look at the face, the first thing that glare out at you is the sunken date wheel problem. While once in a blue moon they get right like the Breilting Skyland and Heritage but most often they just don't. This has go to be my biggest beef. Just take a look at the Breitling Legende, the new J12 chrono, the new PO chrono, the Ebel 1911 chrono, the Bell & Ross 02 chrono and the list goes on. What's yours?
  12. Wow...that is cheap....the dealers here sell the tan with deployant for about $100 and gen for $160? That's a steal.
  13. I just saw a couple of days back that honpo's got a replacement bezel to the DSSD. It is much thicker than v3 when compared side by side. Too bad his site just got taken down again. It looks much better IMO. Think this will be v4? If I know the dealer, yes they will make this v4.
  14. You would be surprised When a minor adjustment to the chrono seconds hand was needed to the Navitimer World, the case back was accidentally scratched. Guess what happened? Yes, a brand new world complete with boxes and a bagful of swag.
  15. I asked Trusty if a custom install of 7753 would be possible for the Legende....the reply was not possible. No reason given but I think there maybe some unknown technical issue that we do not know about. So far, the 7753 has been fitted in daylight, santos 100 chrono and timewalker chrono. Again, not sure why it is not possible for legende....there goes my dream watch
  16. The cartier roadster xl chrono....movement and case already exists....just need a better mag.
  17. Nicely done. The pictures, comparison and review has been kicked up a notch.
  18. You can also check his feedback like most dealers in this forum. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=114 Have fun.
  19. Nice review. I have the black dial myself. I would not have know about the differences until you pointed them out. I believe this is the first and only version. It is one the best made Breitling.
  20. So here I am hyped up about this new model looking and checking the prices on ebay. My search brings up these 2 auctions and the first thing I noticed between the 2 is that the bezel marker (pearl) is different from the other. Is this possible? Could one of these be a rep? Check it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-Sea-Dweller-1660...A1%7C240%3A1318 http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Sea-Dweller-Deep...A1%7C240%3A1308 What do you think?
  21. I am not a big Rolex fan but after seeing this, this may just be one I would consider. The details on this one gives that tough, solid impression. Check out the engraved bezel markers, the carved teeth like the outside bezel, the concave glass, the larger crown guard panerai like that potrudes from the size, the thickness of this easily sets it apart from other series, the transformer like alligator chomping bracelet extension is just incredible. Definitley a collectors item and nice one to have. Pics from honpo. These words from infoniac just describes it perfectly. "Rolex has developed a new Sea-Dweller watch for most courageous and adventurous divers who are ready to conquer unbelievable depths and need a reliable timekeeping companion on their wrist."
