Thats an interesting theory, so what you are saying is that Micheal Jackson should be deemed innocent on the grounds of diminished responsibility? Sorry but the mans music shows he was very aware of societies social mores and that is without mentioning the fact that he had already been a husband and father when the acts may or may not have happened. As I said earlier he was a brilliant musician but as a father of a 7yo myself I neither owe nor will give him any respect. Ken

community............has a nice ring to it doesn't it. always great to hear these stories. Ken

Yes it seems that Jacko is gone. A shame as he was a brilliant musician even if I was not a fan of his quirky ways. Still this is wacko Jacko, the guy pumping gas in Arizona in 10 years time might really be Micheal Jackson. Ken

Ok this thread has gone way off topic, so far in fact it is not worth reeling back in. Thread closed. Ken

It does look good but the make or break question would be....how much? Ken Edit to add; Actually the make or break question may end up being.....how much for shipping?

On being asked to narrate about a critical incident concerning intercultural differences, there is only one happening that comes to mind... A friend of mine once had a placement at BMW/Munich. As his father previously worked in the management board of BMW, which made him privileged in a way.....he was to accompany a manager to conduct negotiations with customers in Arab countries. Whilst negotiating with a Sheik in a meeting, the manager handed over a prepared contract with his left hand to the Sheik's negotiation team. And the reaction was....stunned silence. My friend tried to remedy the situation and whispered to the manager that he must not render the papers with his left hand.... With a "trenchant joke", they managed to save the situation, but I think this is a typical incident which could happen to anybody of us in Central Europe. Doing business in the Arab world means to be familiar with social conventions and rules, which makes it indispensable to inform oneself of customs and typical patterns of behaviour. Referring the "critical incident" I have mentioned above, I have to say that it is well known, that the left hand is "unclean" in the Arab world in general because the left hand is for wiping only and that's why the emphatic refusal of getting things done with the left hand is for hygienic reason. Handing over important documents might be considered as an affront - all the more if it comes to eating and you want to pass on food....take care of only using your right hand! Especially in the Arab world, there are lots of things you have to know if you want to be a welcome guest: think of the status of family and blood relationship....the standing of women....the understanding of honour......religion......the high regard of age and wisdom......the particular importance of hygiene which is extremely important to Arabs for both spiritual and practical reasons......the body language and the greetings.....etc. Generally speaking it is important to show respect for foreign cultures and the easiest way to pay tribute to someone in a foreign country is to be familiar with his/her conventions through a study of the customs and traditions of the people living there. Just a little spit and polish, I have added a u to honour and you ask for English as in opposed to American English. Ken -

Pix you are way in over your head on this....and I should add wrong. Of course Mark (or any other member) does not get the choice about the team reading his mails, how can we possibly administrate this board if we don't have access to all the required information? You are a regular member for anyone to show you another's private mails is wrong, for you to read them is wrong for you to believe that your opinion holds more weight than the entire Admin team is ridiculous. There seems to be a belief that what happened to Mark was only because the customer was an Admin, this is not the case, the way it panned out Mark would have been removed if it involved a regular member too as in the end it was Mark who said he wanted his account deleted. Ken
-
But you see Pix Mark showed you private mails that he had no right to show you.........he just dug the hole deeper. Again you are posting a judgement regarding a favourite dealer, that means you cannot give an unbiased opinion. If you would like to read what CS posted once again you will see that Mark chose to be removed, actually asked us to delete his account rather than sort the problem. Ken
-
sorry Ken
-
As CS states members wading in now trying to give Mark support is futile, to do so is to question the creditability of the entire Admin team who (as we do with every important topic) turned this situation inside out within the Admin area before unanimously voting for his removal. Quite simply Mark dug this hole he needs to climb out of it himself. @Pix there was an administrative reason when the team viewed all the mails between the buyer and seller, on the other hand it is very wrong that you were made privy to another members private mails. There is also the fact that the team voted with an absence of bias, you have already demonstrated that you can not say the same. Ken
