  2. Also pays to read this.... https://rwg.cc/topic/139448-how-to-deal-with-sellers-and-acceptable-expectations-if-problems-arise Ken
  3. You will need to do so at there online site, I'm not sure how it would work over the counter. Ken
  4. Just a point; You can pay a WU transaction with your CC and get the normal protections your service provider offers. Ken
  5. Let me be perfectly clear here....no one on this forum comes close to being knowledgeable on the best or safest shipping methods. This is not an attack on those making such claims it is just a statement of reality. 10 years ago it was claimed shipping through Chicago was just asking for trouble, then it was NY and then another landfall etc etc etc.... Then there was ship Fedex...don't ship Fedex, ship EMS...don't ship EMS..DHL etc etc etc..... The only thing that is truly asking for trouble is telling your dealer how to ship, all dealers use shipping agents and those agents watch the postal system to ascertain the very best method to ship at that particular time. No it's not 100% foolproof but it is much closer than us members trying to state the terms of shipping. Ken
  6. I also agree that Pete is on the money. To give an example; I sold a customer a bag, he said it had spots on it and gave me a High Definition pic to show. I then resold that bag to another customer at a great loss. I then reshipped the first customer a new bag (so I am already down a lot of money) and he said the new bag had the same issue. Now get this, the 2nd buyer of the first bag could not find any visual issue with the bag and to safe guard myself I had the 2nd reshipped bag photographed. I told the customer both of the above points and he then used a PP dispute to get his money back. When you consider there was also another item in the order that he rejected then my loss was around $800 and a Paypal account! Ken
  7. Yet if you go to my section you will see a warning about the so called 1:1 products. Yes there is a better standard the factories are calling 1:1 but there are only limited items, any dealer who claims all his items are 1:1 is simply lying. Although I do sell 1:1 items I always advise customers that in my opinion the excessive cost does not relate to much greater quality. Ken
  8. Yes unfortunately, it means no Paypal and higher prices to cover the constant losses. Ken
  9. My last 2 PP disputes were from newbs who found ridiculous issues with their orders, issues that could not be addressed because they were basically into High Definition checking. Ken
  10. Yes folks can make bad decisions but it must be remembered how devastating they can be for the dealer. I have had so many accounts burned I can no longer get another and yes that does hurt business. These guys who start the PP disputes are no longer on this forum but I have little doubt the still move freely on other boards, or at least until the pull the same stunt with another dealer. Therefore it is in everyone's best interest to keep educating members not to use Paypal disputes, the dealers you have now have been here for many years and if you close them down the guys that replace them may give nowhere near the same service. Ken
  11. On your eBay link the caseback doesn't show any thread either. Ken
  12. Yes and in most cases the dealer will be happy to cover the costs or most of. Ken
  13. I'm betting the case back he sent is off a cheap digital version and is simply pressed on. Ken
  14. Ok a couple of points, as a dealer myself I often get customers asking for goods to be shipped by a certain method. There is no single fail safe method and in fact the best shipping option can change from order to order, the dealer will always leave the shipping method up to his shipping agent and the customer should too. In fact some will void any reship claims if the customer has demanded his/her preferred postage. The other point is that the OP states the watch was returned for repair, therefore this was not a new purchase and in most cases that will mean there is no reship guarantee. Ken
  15. Others call us a knitting club, I prefer to think of us as the mature adults. Seriously we have a forum based around a shared hobby, most of the members of this board actually welcome new guys because they come with new ideas. Really not interested in the whole Internet tough guy stuff. Ken
  16. Doesn't really matter if they have changed the rules my message is still the same, it is quite safe to send a TD Western Union payments. Ken
  17. I will just add that David is a friend who I have not only known for over 10 years online but also have personally met on a number of occasions and whilst I do not want to take part in any inter-forum slanging match I can state quite clearly that the people trying to deride him are way off the mark. Ken
  18. I will take it to the admin area and get T or one of the Co-admins to fix. Ken
  19. No he is not asking about replica, generic is like a supermarket homebrand. For example instead of buying a brand name butter you buy the Woolies brand, it's cheaper for a number of reasons one of which is the packaging. I don't know if generic is offered in drugs overseas but here in Australia we are often asked if we want a generic drug instead of the far more expensive brand name when making up a prescription, it is the exact same drug just not from the maker who charges the most. That said we also have PBS here in Australia so even brand name is usually cheap. Ken
  20. so here's my plan... You do a meet and greet with rolojack and he gets to punch you in the nose. Then you call it even and have a few beers Ken
  21. watching you slay Ken
