  1. I wonder what Greg is trying to tell us Ken
  2. I used to cop this on two fronts, customers would pay me in usd then I had to covert to aud to bank it....zing one.....then it had to be converted back to usd to Western Union the money to my supplier....zing two Between Paypal and WU I was (counting WU fees) losing over 60 bucks a transaction. I even went as far as contacting both and telling them that their exchange rates were not even close to the current international rates, both said they used the very latest rates calculator and theirs was more accurate than anyones, when I said BS check XE.com right now I of course got no further replies. ken

  4. "As of tomorrow, employees will only be able to access the building using individual security cards. Pictures will be taken next Wednesday, and employees will receive their cards in two weeks." (This was from Fred Dales, Microsoft Corp. in Redmond WA) "What I need is an exact list of specific unknown problems we might encounter." (Lykes Lines Shipping) "E-mail is not to be used to pass on information or data. It should be used only for company business." (Accounting manager, Electric Boat Company) "This project is so important we can't let things that are more important interfere with it." (Advertising/Marketing manager, United Parcel Service) "Doing it right is no excuse for not meeting the schedule." (Plant Manager, Delco Corporation) "No one will believe you solved this problem in one day! We've been working on it for months. Now go act busy for a few weeks and I'll let you know when it's time to tell them." (R&D supervisor, Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing/3M Corp.) Quote from the boss: "Teamwork is a lot of people doing what I say." (Marketing executive, Citrix Corporation) My sister passed away and her funeral was scheduled for Monday. When I told my boss, he said she died on purpose so that I would have to miss work on the busiest day of the year. He then asked if we could change her burial to Friday. He said, "That would be better for me." (Shipping executive, FTD Florists) "We know that communication is a problem, but the company is not going to discuss it with the employees." (Switching supervisor, AT&T Long Lines Division) Ken
  5. I wonder how good it is? I know that all the suppliers I found for Wii copies wanted triple that price. Ken
  6. Actually that was quite ingenious buddy and it shows the good old Ausiie knowhow "If it doesn't turn and it should use WD40 if it turns and it shouldn't use duct tape" I think the customer will be so happy when she finds out that she has a far better watch than she thought you could probably hit her up for more than 10 bucks. Ken
  7. For now just upgrade your account so Chief can get his watch. Ken
  8. Interesting graphs although it's highly unlikely that they're accurate. Admin was explaining to me at one time that they are like Alexis where the users need to have a certain tool bar or something to register. ken
  9. Would you walk into McDonald's and ask where else you can buy a hamburger? Ken
  10. It is very hard for your small Admin team to be everywhere, if any member sees a breach of our rules like this please lodge a report straight away. Ken
  11. OT....Hey Mike long time no see, how's life treating you? Yeah the watch looks ok and when it's a gift from your little girl you have no choice but to treasure it. Ken
  12. A jazz trio is playing a gig at an upscale nightclub. They play a classic bebop tune at a fleet tempo with grace and ease. Then comes a Wayne Shorter composition filled with mysterious harmonies, poignant melodies and daring improvisations. Next they present a medley of lesser known Harold Arlen songs that only a connoisseur would recognize, again played with elegant styling and exquisite taste. The whole evening has been one dazzling performance after another. Though the trio is playing background music and not a formal concert , the audience can sense that the musical display they are witnessing is of such a high caliber that the musicians should be allowed to perform as they please without interference. Then a well-dressed middle-aged man approaches the bandstand and asks the pianist "Can you play Lara's Theme from Dr. Zhivago?" The pianist tells the man that they are jazz musicians and that they usually don't take requests of that sort. The man reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out three one hundred dollar bills which he lays out on the piano. The pianist looks at the bass player and drummer and says "Laura's Theme in G." They play the tune in the fashion of the original version, the pianist emulating the Balalaika textures with a delicate upper register tremolo. The song obviously does not present the same level of difficulty that the trio is accustomed to dealing with. As the pianist plays, he absent-mindedly gazes at the soundboard of his ebony Steinway B and wonders about the grain in the wood."How would the tonal characteristics be altered if the grain of the soundboard ran perpendicular to the strings rather than parallel", he silently asks himself. The bass player amuses himself with an assortment of well-placed double-stops and harmonics. He daydreams as he looks at the top of his mid-nineteenth century double bass made by French master, Paul Claudot, and wonders "How many times has the top been varnished? How did the varnish of past years differ from today's? How would the resonance properties be affected if there were no varnish at all?" The drummer gazes down onto the single ply, medium weight head of his 1950's vintage black oyster pearl snare drum and thinks to himself "One, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three...." Ken

Ok I have worked it out and if this is what is to come to everyone there will be a lot of unhappy campers. I was seeing what G was seeing earlier this morn but halfway through uploading a set of pic's it changed to what I described. Once you realise where the link is it is not hard to upload what is a pain however is unlike how it use to operate ie; start uploading from a sub folder and each time you hit browse it goes back to that folder....it now goes back to the very start of the process for each pic. Like this.... Ken's folders... click Pictures... click Clothes... click Belts... click Armani.. A real pain if you have anything stored away deep. Ken

This is what I have now..... http://imageshack.us/ The page looks almost the same except you will notice the addition of a cancel button before the browse button and the button that used to be the host button now say 'Start Uploading' If you try to upload a pic to this format you will see what i mean about the new set up. Ken Edit: bugger it's changed again, now instead of a browse button it has a choose file button.

No CS that's how it was and an improvement on the click here bit that used to be on the bottom, but it's just changed again. Now it comes up with a big pic with a hot link to load it straight to Twitter and a smaller box on the left hand side full of different codes. Ken
  20. Does anyone know how to upload pic's with the new set up they have? Ken
  21. And then there's..... Hmm.................no comment Ken

    My State burns

Rain glorious rain. Yesterday despite winds of up to 150kph the fire fighters managed to contain the fires without any further loss of life or private property. And then God stepped in.... Although it's not over just yet it soon will be with a cool change and rain sweeping into the effected area's. Thank you to all who have supported the Bushfire raffles and please keep supporting the raffles that trailboss still has running. Ken

    My State burns

I'm bumping this thread up again to point out that although it is now over 3 weeks since Black Saturday we still have at least 2 massive fires burning out of control. Tonight and tomorrow we will be facing extreme weather conditions that the CFA believes could flare these fires up to an extent that may match Black Saturday or Ash Wednesday. To help combat this the Vic Police has taken the unprecedented step of texting every mobile phone in Victoria to warn of the dangers we might face in the next 24hrs. The local papers are saying that if you plan to evacuate do so now as tomorrow may be to late. Once again I stress that I and my family and friends are not in the danger zone, but for those that do....say a prayer for my people. Ken

  25. Well quite obviously it's haunted. Don't know anything about them but this line here sends a pretty strong message.... I wonder if the house is cut into sections and sitting on 44gal drums out in some country paddock? Ken
