  1. I have a YM just like that and I can tell you pictures just don't do it justice. And if you need another reason to upgrade, you should see the supporters bar Oops thats suppose to be a secret So whats the only thing better than the supporters bar......the platinum bar Ken
  2. G'day sport and welcome to RWG. Lots of us Aussies floating around so you will soon feel right at home. Ken
  3. Oh thats why I thought it was because he was a good bloke. Ken
  4. The best you can do Corgi is to contact eBay and describe the circumstances, I think you will find that the legal binding contract bit applies both ways and the seller should have been aware that the...*cough*...thing...was available before he listed it. That said I don't believe there is a lot you can do to receive your goods if he maintains it is out of stock, but eBay will take some form of action against him. Ken
  5. Well hello there old friend This just proves again you can take the man out of RWG but you can't take the RWG out of the man. Good to have you back. Ken
  6. From an Admin point of view 'Big Noob' is better than a specialized mentor. As Lani points out the Big Noob mission is not to teach the newbie to become a Rolex or Breitling or Omega etc etc expert over night but to help welcome him/her into our community and gently guide them through the pitfalls. Kudos Lani. Ken
  7. Do you mind if I run that past Diego Maradonna? Ken
  8. I wonder if any of you guys have ever watched a game of AFL? Yes they have a basic team plan and the coach is constantly adding little fine tunings to it through-out the game...without the stoppages.....they go flat out for 120 minutes and best of all no helmets or padding, just blood and guts. Ken
  9. Boy am I going to cop it for that one Oh well in for a penny in for a pound Ken
  10. G'day LR and welcome to RWG I have seen quite a bit of your postings on RG and I hope you will find time to be a part of both our communities on a regular basis. BTW I'm not the immigrant, that's our dress wearing mod in Sydney..........oops I mean kilt Ken
  11. It's a dip stick for a car and as to how it could be used for the offender, I will that to your imagination. Ken
  12. offshore is on the Gold coast so he wont be able to help you but Kenberg is in Melbourne and knows a watchsmith in Dandenong....why not ask him? Ken
  13. KB

    Will she stay

He doesn't need a pillow CS...'es got 'is tin foil 'at on Ken
  14. Actually you would think this was the case but many gen sites give descriptions of canal street quality watches when they rate rep's, others have shown extreme concern when one of their members show the true quality of them. Then there was the shock and awe when Biver realised the quality of the Hublot rep's. It could simply be that everyone knows where we are but most choose not to come here. Ken
  15. whautalkinabootwillis You know I went to Fiji 10 times and I never thought to take happy snaps, of course that was before my RWG days. Good to see you had a great time Kruze. Ken
  16. From an administration point of view it is a very difficult thing to police, we believe having a sales section open for discussion is the correct way to go and that by and large the members will police the section in a responsible manner. However there will always be those who want to push the limits, at the end of the day there are only two avenues to sorting this (1) We make the sales section a closed forum, which as stated above we do not believe is in your best interests or (2) The members themselves need to step in and tell these people when they have crossed the line between normal inquires and crapping, remembering also that an Admin team member will take action if alerted to thread crapping. Ken PS. Good to see you around K.
  17. Anyone notice that they are making 500 for women and only 150 for men......does this tell you something I'm guessing there's a little heat sensor running from the bedpan to the base of the watch....yep it's a 1,500 GBP mood ring Ken
  18. Numbers 4 and 5 look the best for my money. #1 was very close but it needs some fore ground. The only other that works (to my eye) is #10 Ken
  19. I can see where your thoughts are coming from Valerian but I tend to think that if anyone is going to toe the line in this economic crisis it will be us in the western world, China (followed very closely by India) are going to be in a powerful position when it comes to recession busting commodities. Ken
  20. Very interesting figures really, they say these 40mil of rep watches cost the industry between 7 to 800mil Ok so obviously the 20 bucks a watch that this works out to is flawed as they accept that there would not be 40mil buyers of gens if there was no reps. So how many of those 40mil rep buyers do they expect to buy gens if they can clean up the trade? Well based on their figures (and allowing an average of 10k a watch) less than 80 thousand actually. Ken
  21. Sweet............very sweet Even though I was tricked into clicking this thread Ken
  22. I wonder if this is really careless designing or a very clever move to push Rolex into a higher price bracket? I do kind of like those Tudors though. Ken
  23. Actually as I see it this will only prevent reps being sold as gen's. How many gen owners are going to walk around carrying their smart cards? More importantly how many rep owners are going to let anyone scan their watch to see if it's gen? Ken
  24. Wow buddy I had no idea, so sorry to hear but glad you will make a full recovery and especially glad that your family were not with you at the time. Ken
