  1. People have to face the fact that this business has changed and it is the people that use PP as a way to force the result they want that has changed it.

These forums are the best tools a member has if they have been treated unfairly by a dealer, most of the members that lodge PP disputes however will not bring the dispute to the board because they already know they are being unreasonable.

The downside for the vast majority is that PP is quickly disappearing as a buying option but the dealers do need to protect themselves too they are not in the business of giving away free watches every time someone says "The black on the dial is .0001 of a shade darker that the QC pic"

  2. Hi and welcome to RWG :)

Honestly forget the Swiss and Japanese movements

Japanese made tend to be quartz movements and Swiss are as rare as hens teeth

There is indeed cheap and expensive reps but mostly they are all Chinese.

I have a few of the lower priced watches and maybe a few more of the more expensive, most are 5 to 6 years old and all still work fine, others however are not so lucky.

  3. It seems to me that this is getting personal, yes there are stats for both sides that wont look great in the cold light of the day.

However the only salient point about this whole thread is that a election was held in what only one of 2 parties could win...and one did.

It's not the end of the world people talking about leaving the country or signing petitions to secede must be looked upon with a certain amount of derision.

  4. I was reading somewhere that most modern day car computers take hundreds of readings a second (don't know how accurate this is) and this means the car is always running at it's optimal performance.

If this is accurate then these computers are worth their weight in gold, but they do cost a fortune to fix if they go bad.

On the plus side if you REALLY know what your doing you can basically tune your car with your laptop :)

  5. Fact of the matter in a 2 party system like we have Romney was actually right. He said it wrong, and added some unfavorable commentary, but he was right. On both sides, roughly 90% of the people are going to vote for one party or the other NO MATTER WHO IS RUNNING. The candidates can say whatever they want and be whomever they want to be, and those 90% of the people are going to vote for them. They would vote for a trained monkey as long as it was teh Party's representative.

This is basically what I hate about elections, not just America but all over the world.

A very large section of the demographic will form the same political affiliation that their parents had and simply vote for the same party for the rest of their lives, very much the same mentality as 'Rah Team'

Sorry but popular vote means nothing in elections the only defining figure is seats won and that shows Obama won by well over 100 seats more than Romney, even to say they lost the house is misleading because the repub's only held out there due to their gerrymandering redivision of electoral boundaries.
