Spent better part of two days working on this.

So you see the old pics. I modded the crown guards and refinished the head and bracelet. Man that was some work. Note to self never polish a brushed piece then return it to brushed ....Kinda like it now.

Thanks yes looking on Craig's list and newspapers and more obscure areas. Watch looks good now but I will get a gen case sooner or later. Funny ran across a great deal on a gen omega locally while case hunting so buying that to flip....

Good morning, GMT build is almost complete. My man Matt built the watch and the case was modded by Rolex Addict. Matt sent my a pic of the assembled watch yesterday and being like a little kid, I cannot wait to post. I started this project when I first joined the forum back in December. Parts have come from all over the world and the case has traveled all over the world as well. Many experienced members warned me about attempting this build and I can see why. It has been a long and frustrating process, but also a really good learning experience. In the end, it is a beautiful time piece, but..... I am still not totally satisfied with the case. I have way to much $ into this project to be less than 100% satisfied so I am searching for a gen case or beat up gen watch to finish the project. No big hurry, I am scouring the internet looking for a decent priced case set or watch. In the meantime I have one of my grails to wear on the wrist. I have been wearing Rolex's since the 80's but I have never had a GMT, so this is very exciting for me. In the past I just bought watches and this is my first time sourcing all the parts and doing a project like this. This is really one of the coolest parts of the hobby which I never enjoyed before. Learned much about Rolex history, models, parts and all those crazy model numbers doing this project. I cannot express enough gratitude for Matt. He generally does not do "sport watch" builds and this project had many obstacles. Matt is a genius watch smith, a true gentleman, and one of my favorite peeps. Thank you Matt. Thank guys really appreciate the input. I made an offer but they declined it so search continues. Saw a whole 1675 for sale last December that was in decent shape for $3800. It was a little beat up but everything was there. I know...wife told me when we left I would regret not buying it and she is not a big fan of my watch addiction....when she encourages me to buy a watch I should listen.

Thanks guys. Yes out here speed limit signs are only "suggestions". Made it back from Olympia over white pass usually a 3 hour 45 minute drive in 2 hours and 50 minutes. Might not have followed the suggestions too well:)

2015 S5 has arrived and I took delivery Sunday. Great driving car. I am now looking at a pulley, chip and air box system to increase HP 100+. Decent power stock but another 100 and she would really go. Love the new technology and for my money hard to beat the fit and finish of an Audi, at least in my price range. Super happy since I special ordered this and picked all the options. Exhaust sound is great in dynamic mode, has the nice F1 style sound. Put in comfort mode and super smooth and quiet.

Even if I have money on my PP account, it always defaults back to the stupid "bill me later" method for payment. I tried to change default settings but always reverts back to that. So every purchase I have to go in and change the method or it uses the bill me later method, which is just another bill to deal with. And obviously the fees suck. All in all though, as much shopping as I do online, the benefits have outweighed the negatives. I am surprised more people do not use the Popmoney system. Once you set it up it is quick and easy and free. Use it with BK a few times and works great.

Good morning, Has anyone out there handled one of the new J12 Factory Explorers that were recently released. A friend of mine is looking for the modern Explorer I and we both thought that the pictures look pretty good.
