  2. Did you talk to any of the admins here before filing a PP dispute? Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  3. J, you are a genius. Love those old slow beat movements. Was on the bay today looking for cheap donor watches with ETA's. In one year the prices have more than doubled for those pieces with the gen ETA's in them. It is crazy.
  4. Here are some twins, back to watches.......Twin Franken Mattjusts.
  5. I will stay with the Sub trend Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  6. The TC is definitely great. Matts DD's and DJ's also especially if you add some gens parts. Fit finish and accuracy is excellent. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  7. Hi jpz....nice to see a Rolex on your wrist. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  8. Yep, foaming hand soup and soft brush and warm water works great. As stated in other threads doing a treatment with the Teflon dry chain lube like "white lightening" also keeps it from collecting dirt. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  9. Good luck on the purchase. Last one I received was an eta clone even though it was sold as "Swiss eta". My watch smith verified it as a clone and I sent pictures to the seller but they still claim it's Swiss...lots of threads about this on all the forums. However it is running good so we are going to use it....for now:). We will see if she holds up. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  10. Wholly smokes that is hideous.... Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  11. Nice collection:). I seem to end up with twins also. Same watch different dials and/or inserts. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  12. No offense taken, but you really have to see one of Matt's pieces in person and hold it in your hands. I have been wearing gen Rolexes since the mid 80's and I had a gen DD like this a few years ago and this looks and feels very good. Weight is a little off but it is surprisingly nice. I agree that most do not look good but pictures don't really show how good that DD looks and feels. Just my opinion...or go with a two tone and get either a gen bracelet or high end rep bracelet with solid gold mid links. Something like this Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

  14. Mymanmatt Day Date holds up really well and is a great piece. You can find him here username mymanmatt. This one has gen dial, crown and crystal and solid gold bezel. Had it about 6 months with fairly regular wear and case and bracelet are still like new. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  15. That will be a very nice build Sent from my droptop using telepathy.

  17. Ok learned something. Thanks for the information. Still think it is really cool looking; although not something I could wear. My wrists are only 7.25. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  18. Ok thanks. I will do some research and wear this one a bit. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  19. Man this is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen. Don't know how i missed it before. Can we get more pics Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  20. Give her a go. You will be amazed how much better she looks and feels. Looks and feels like my old gen now. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  21. Maybe try cwazy1. He may have a source. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  22. Thanks JMB, what a deal on this one. Already shopping for a dial and will have Matt put in a Swiss ETA when I find a gen dial. For now I can see how I like it on and how much $$$ I want to put into it. Awesome deal man. Thanks
  23. Had a few days off and have golfed 5 days in a row. So... Spent some time refinished my TC again. This time was more aggressive with the 3m "scotch bright" pads and Dremel. Bracelet had a couple of sharp spots that also needed sanding and filing. Pretty happy with the way it turned out. First filed and sanded a couple areas on the clasp to remove sharp edges. Then used a Dremel with a scotch bright type wheel on the lugs, bracelet (both sides) and clasp. And some careful activity on the bezel assembly. Then hand rubbed the same parts with the Scotch Bright several times. It is important to keep the grain consistent doing this. To finish, taped off the brushed areas and used the Dremel with green jewels rouge. Then Mothers mag wheel polish. Once completed gave another White Lightning dry lube bath and good washing with a toothbrush. I like the way it looks, but the feel is so much better. Feels like a mid 2000's Sub should. Very comfortable now. Here are some pics: In a couple of the macro pics it looks like small scratches, it's not. My dog kept trying to get in the shots and she is shedding those are hairs.......it looks better in person....
