  1. So my beloved Pan Bronzo is beginning to give me problems.   I had it serviced a number of months back and until recently it has been running perfectly.   The last few days however, it has stopped during the night and today it has stopped on me several times.

I know it is a modified A7750 movement, so my questions are:

    1. Do you think it can be cured with another service?   Is it worth trying?

    2. Is there a different movement I could search for and replace with that would be more reliable?   I'm not concerned about the decorative elements to the movement, even though its a display back.....

I would need to find a movement then have a local watchsmith do the replacing, as I'm certainly no capable of doing it myself.   Any advice would be welcomed and appreciated!

  2. Well, while there are obviously no guarantees of water resistance in the rep world, I believe that current offerings are not bad at all. Depending on model of course.

I have 16 watches and have not hesitated to get any of them wet. Shower, pool, recreational swimming. No real diving. Not a single water related failure to date.

My advice...... Be more careful with chronos. Don't worry about rep divers, but also don't do any serious diving with them.

    Lastly, remember Murphy's Law!

  3. My advice ... Avoid andrew at trusty time. It's ok if the watch works (for a while) but if your watch doesn't work don't expect any quick responses. Once they have the £££ you are third priority..

That's really unfair. I have purchased many watches from Andrew. One had a problem and he addressed and dealt with me quickly and efficiently. I did send it back and while it took a long time in total, it all worked out fine in the end.

  4. Local option is preferred for sure.   For the extra $$$$, it'll be well worth it.    Shipping them back to China will cost you in both $$$ and time.   I shipped one back the Andrew.   From the USA, international priority cost me almost $50 and I waited almost 10 weeks to get the watch back.   It worked out for me in the end though.

I would use a local guy next time myself.   Expect it to cost about $100-$150/watch for someone to look at them.

  5. Uhhhh........    Don't expect this to happen.   If you cannot have it looked at locally, Andrew will ask for it back to be repaired.   He will NOT ship you a new watch first!

Hi: I understand you received the watch in that condition, that is not working properly. Andrew is a very responsible dealer and I´m sure hell replace it by sending you a new watch as he shipped  defective píece to you. . Once you receive the new watch you can send the defective one back to him, and that´s  the end of the problem. You have to be patient though as this process may take more than a few days.

    Good luck.
