This is best case scenario. The last time I tried to pull a tube from a Cartel case it ripped apart leaving part of the threads in the hole. Trying to clean up and re-thread was fruitless. I tried JB weld and it never held as expected. Eventually I just tossed the case. I was hoping the gen 703 would just thread onto the MBW tube - but sadly no. I think I may just hold off until it NEEDS to be fixed down the road. I'd hate to muck up a perfectly good looking/running watch for something so trivial...

Hello fellow modders,
Have any of you replaced the crown on the MBW 5512/13??? I have a new gen crown to install but the threads don't fit the tube that's already installed. Does anyone know if the MBW tube thread (the case hole tap) will accept the gen tube threads? I'd hate to rip out the old one and start a mess...
Thanks,
Bob
Hi guys,
Modded my fair share of dials but I'm looking to do something new. Has anyone tinted a white rollie gloss dial (smoke/tan/champagne/beige)? It looks a little too new and shiny for me. Maybe an amber colored laquer ?
thanks,
Bob
Each one is stated in the sale. I think they range from 27.9 - 28 or so...

BTW - those Space Dweller hands are NOT Yuki. Just happened to have them...Yuki's are for gen.

Thank you sir! Let me know if you want one and we can discuss price over PM...very reasonable to do these with lots of variety. OR even ask for a DIY step by step and I could help!

Hey everyone,
Not to make a very long story out of it, I posted this over on RWI so I thought I would share my two last projects here as well. Both of these are based on the famous JMB 1016 case...but obviously not 1016 Explorers. So here is some "inspiration" for you "builders" out there. Both JMB, Gen 2824 ETA, Yuki dial for the SD, Raffles dial for the Oyster P, and Gen crowns...Two Keepers!!!
I wish I could find out some more about them. I'm trying my best to reconcile the JMB case (lug holes) to a year and model...with limited vendors for dials that will fit. I THINK lugholes went to about 1990. The white dial was OK, but I wasn't crazy about the blue sticks. And, you are right...no one is gonna tell on the wrist (it still wears pretty small).
Thanks,
B
MORON UPDATE:
After all the work put into this...obviously close-in...I just realized that the dial is an OP, not an Air King.
