  1. Thanks Umpa...very helpful and I did the fade on both the MBK and the WSO. Leaving the MBK for now... B
  2. Hi guys, Recently picked up one of the MBK 5512's in a M2M deal on the other board. I've drilled the lugs and put on gen bars with the WSO 580's and was wondering if you guys are putting yours on a rivet or oyster bracelet? Additionally, I picked up the WSO insert mentioned here and had a couple of questions about the bezel... I'm assuming the MBK is gen-spec? Does the bezel really pry off easily (as in all the videos)? I'm used to working with the cheapy paper-clip bezels. I'd like to do some case shaping and bezel insert, but I don't want to take any chances on disassembley and seating of the crown. Thanks in advance, and any ideas/advice you'd like to pass along would be great! Bob
  3. I would not be happy with that relume at 12, 6, and 9... B
  4. I spent alot of time on Ebay and it seems there are two different assemblies for the same 16710. One is a two-piece, the other is three-piece. I'm not even sure if what I'm trying to do will work so I don't want to waste a bunch of money. Originally, this was a cheapie bezel with the paperclip setup. Then I came across a gen bezel/insert so I just removed the old and (semi) permanently affixed the new bezel. Looks good - NO rotation. Just thinking of how I can gerry-rig this to work. My thoughts were to permanently affix the retaining ring to the case so that the gen bezel would snap on. Then machine the hole for the click spring.
  5. Hi everyone and thanks for reading this. A while back I made a M2M purchase of the above mentioned watch. I have since worked the CG's and installed a gen crown and tube. I've also acquired a gen Pepsi insert. I purchased a WSO bezel and the Pepsi snapped in perfectly. Only thing is - the bezel didn't come with the other parts (my fault). Now I'm not sure what I still need to buy. I know for sure the click spring, but I'm not sure if there are one or two more parts required. I've seen mention of both a "retaining ring" and a "tension ring". Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Maybe a graphic? (I did search)...Thanks,Bob
  6. The only negative in my experience is their pricing scheme. They're solid runners, but way over priced. Typically discounted from 900 to 200 dollars around the webs.So - just don't pay MSRP! B
  7. OP - PBDAD never hid the price of his builds, so maybe let folks know what to expect. Might help speed things along for you... Bob
  8. Says I have to be a VIP to view a "Sold" thread? B
  9. Snagged a gen from Stonep. Thanks for the answers guys... B
  10. Looks like the 603 is the consensus amongst the fora. Anyone have any leads on one? Thank you! Bob
  11. Hi guys, I recently purchased what I think is a pretty nice 16710 in a M2M deal. I know the CG's need a little work, other than that I think all it needs is a gen crown. Here is the original sales thread. Can anyone identify it and suggest what gen crown to get that might work (tube?). Comments and observations are welcome and appreciated! ~B http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/sho...6710-SWISS-ETA
  12. Yeah thanks. I have leather and those two Nato's, but the bracelet is a bit short. Maybe just a link or two!?!?! Please and Thank You! Bob
  13. Hey guys, Did a M2M purchase elsewhere and the bracelet is a bit short. This is the nicer 300 with the wafer dial and screw links. ANY HELP would be great! Thanks, Bob
  14. Didn't you learn your lesson over at RWI??? B
  15. That's where I have my fewest posts...it's like walking on eggshells sometimes. Sorry to hear, but I think your reputation will carry you along. Bob
  16. Damn, I was waiting for a line of dbane midcases making the fora rounds...
  17. I like it! I have a Jubilee on my vintage explorer right now... B
  18. Really - giving Matt a hard time...he's the KING of DJ's. I'm happy with our builds and my "mostly" gen TT was my grail... I guess all us modders days are numbered??? B
  19. I saw all those acrylic and stand models on Ebay. The one I'm looking for is like a covered metal band that flexes - so I can adjust it to fit snugly in the winder. Everything else I've seen can't be re-shaped... Thanks for the responses...
