I like this site very much - but have to say I'm rarely here because of the lack of traffic! Not sure why that is, but RWI always seems to have a fairly good "new posts" volume.

If winding, running, and setting work fine with the crown released from tube, my first suspect would be stem length causing some kind of binding , pressure, or torque in the movement. I know this doesn't specifically help you - but I would be interested to see. Hopefully a quick and easy fix!

It's interesting. We can get 5512/13's, 1680s, Explorers, GMTs, Migauss, Big Crowns, Djs, Air Kings, OPs...but no 14060 - which there seems to be a demand for...at least according to the fora...

Well thanks. I guess that's the best suggestion so far. I've never actually seen them side by side but I prefer the no date. Thought it was always just a matter of the rehaut size so it would be easiest to just to get a dial. Thanks...that opens the door to alot more research!

For years now, and on ALL the other rep watch fora there have been discussions about building a franken 14060. "What if we put a gen dial in a TC"? "How bout a gen dial in a BP"? "Does anyone make a good 14060 rep dial that will fit the cases we have"? It seems this has reached the elusiveness of big foot or a unicorn.
Why can't someone just make a 16610 sized TC quality 14060 dial. Base it on the KH and don't punch the date window?! Mine would have been converted years ago. I personally would have bought several already and based some builds on them. From all the posts I've read MANY others would have bought these as well and this really should be a gold mine (well, positive cash flow) for someone. Given everything already floating around (Yuki, Raffles, TC) shouldn't this be do-able? Let me know what I'm missing?
Thanks

Happy to provide help, but please confirm that what I uses is correct with others as well. These work for me.
Lugholes - 1.4 mm, #55 US
Gen tube or Athaya? Athaya takes a M3 x 0.35mm tap size.
Recess - less precise. Slighlty larger than tube threads so it sits down a bit.
Bezel - there is a tension ring that you just put some kinks or bends in to make it firmer.
Address the inner crown guards when you replace the crown tube.
Holy Sh*t. When I went through my Spaceview phase I had all those tools (except microscope) but didn't know how to properly use them. These videos would have been invaluable and would have sent me down a different road. Thanks for the GREAT resource!
