@Pete- AHH! ok.. yeah, i remember that post very well. Thought you were talking about 2 piece crystal construction. Were you ever able to get the crystal off you 253 or 286??

Pete.. the crystal is two pieces!?? i recall you having difficulty removing the crystal on this new version.. did you ever get it off?

I am grateful that I've received my watches.. I've used francisco numerous times (he's my modder of choice as I'm located in spain), and I've never had anything less than the best service from him. He's a great watchsmith and has contributed a great deal to the forum. I became aware that he had some personal issues (nothing more specific than that) about 2 months ago on one of the spanish forums. I didnt say anything earlier on this forum, as it would have been opening a can of worms. I for one, share most of you guys' opinion in that , in this day in age, it's very difficult to believe that there was never 2 minutes in your life that could have been used to communicate briefly that personal issues have delayed your watch work. But, i will give francisco the benefit of the doubt, as we know nothing about his circumstances and what happened. I wish him the best and hope that he'll be open for business in the near future!

Anyone know if these taka crystals have come out yet??

Update I received my watches from Francisco today after 5 months of no news. I'm glad to have them back.. despite them not getting the service I sent them off for. I was hoping for some kind of note or post-it message in the package letting me know he was ok.. but i guess the watches by themselves will have to serve as explanation enough. In any case.. I wish him the best and hope to do business with him again at some point if he returns to the watch world.

Hi janchik. He's had watches of mine since May. Some guys on the Spanish forum have told me that he's not been well. I'm worried I wont see my watches again, as I've been trying to contact francisco for the last 3 months myself at least. He hasnt responded. I hope this doesnt turn into another K2222 mystery. We should start to get a count of how many watches of members on the forum are with Francisco. He's worked on at least 5 watches of mine, and I've NEVER had anything but positive experiences with him.. this is NOT like him.

Just got mine yesterday too. Very nice for the 70 bucks it cost me. Bass is not as punchy as the real thing.. and they don't handle as much input (i tried the real ones last week). I really wish the bass was a bit more developed. The sound is overall VERY clear and very clean with a good amount of bass. I was hoping for more bass though I would venture to say the sound is as bright as my Westone UM1s (not as clear or defined as my westones (but those headphones are exceptional for being single drivers). Fit and finish is exactly as the original as far as I can tell. I even registered my fake Serial with Monster with no problems. They look great and sound decent. My only complaint would be the lack of mind blowing bass that the originals have. (still good bass.. just not ridiculous like the original). I really wanted to feel like the club was in my headphones.. but these phones don't do it. I'm not a bass head at all, as My favorite phones are my UM2's which are very balanced, I purchased these Beats specifically so that I could feel like i had a subwoofer on my ears, (and their design is sweet looking).. haha. Overall great purchase for 70 bucks.. as the coolest part about these headphones is their design and look. Let's be honest, if these headphones didn't have the giant "B" on the side of the earcups, I wouldn't even be interested.. Good sound, great look, and good price for getting something so close to the real thing.

Another month gone by.. i still have no word from Francisco.. I hope everything's ok.... officially 4 months now...

agreed..I LOVE my diver. have it on my wrist right now but with the ETA clones that are out right now.. I don't agree that the sw200 is a better movement. I don't like the Sellita is slowly replacing the ETA as the "high-end" movement.. ETA is a step above Sellita and dealers are marketing Sellita as if they were magical... To me.. a Sellita is a clone of the ETA.. think of it as you may, it really is. So why not get one of the higher quality clones and pay less.. Afterall sellita is just an ETA copy my .02.

Just bought mine yesterday. Thanks for the recommendation Dylan. I got the Beats Studios for $78 total with shipping by EMS and box included. I should have them next week. Really looking forward to trying these out. I've been looking at reviews on these things.. and in general i get the same consensus as with the Authentic Beats. Lots of people swear by them and a lot of people dog them. In general, 99% of all the forums and youtube videos say that the sound quality is the same as original. Some have complained of broken replicas etc.. but i've seen just as many complaints about the real thing... so I'm glad i'm not payin 300 bucks for a pair of headphones that could possibly break. My personal theory is that these headphones are probably a gray market product since the Authentics are also made in china. Factories are probably smuggling parts out the back door to other factories that are assembling the exact same headphone and selling them for less. There's nothing that I've read that shows that there is any physical or structural difference between these headphones and the real deal.. So excited. I've got some Westone UM2's that I use for the subway and traveling.. but they isolate WAY too much sound for me to use them at work.. plus they're a pain to get in and out of my ears. The Beats Studios should be a great way to listen to music at work, easy on and off, and I can keep them in my desk drawer when not in use. I might even make a little youtube video myself. p.s. are there any other quality replicas of brands like Shure, Westone or Etymotics etc???? I've been checking out reviews. and people are sayign these Beats headphones are very faithful to original sound reproduction
