  1. I still don't get why there's so much confusion about this model number!! THIS IS NOT A 3789.. THIS IS A 3799! The 3789 is the Flieger Chrono and is 44mm THIS 3799 is the Doppelgraph 46mm. Do not confuse the two.. let's not make things more complicated
  2. I started out with that same kit. Not very good at all. Can't even remove spring bars with those tools. The tweezers, hammer, and small phillips screw drivers are the most useful.. everything else will either break or bend pretty soon. Official forum recomendation: Buy offshore's kit!
  3. This or an AP diver will be my next purchases (once I get a job!) Downsides to the CP are its susceptibility to scratching!
  4. A classic thread. Yeah.. I think it's interesting to look at the advances in quality and design that we've seen since The Zigmeister posted this 5 years ago!!!
  5. Maybe not a ferrari.. but some people would encrust a Mercedes SL600 Like Prince Al-Waleed of Saudi Arabia http://www.ballerride.com/2008/05/22/mercedes-diamond/
  6. Only one factory making these MJC... ALL dealers currently offer them.
  7. 253 looks great. You'll need to get this one serviced as these latest 7750 batches seems to be a pretty much gunked movement everytime these days (at least for me).
  8. Not sure there's a heavier 42mm watch out there.. both UPO version are VERY substantial for their dimensions.
  9. Sure... it LOOKS different. but i think that might more attributed to the lighting than anything.
  10. Vegafina Robusto... Can't seem to find them easily in the states.. Here in spain, they're pretty easy to find. Bought 200 of these things to hand out at my wedding.. really pleasant and smooth smoker.. even burn and not too heavy. I believe the wrapper is a maduro oscuro from Brazil and the filler is Peruvian/domenican blend. They're Hecho a Mano in Domenican Republic. VegaFina Robusto.bmp
  11. sooo.. why do you have 2? Can I have one!?
  12. great to see you finally posting Kibrood! that's a monster on your wrist! Put it next to your bicep next time and take a shot.. maybe it'll put fit better there haha
  13. welcome.. Now GET TO RESEARCHING! the search bar is your friend.
  14. Trust me... their insurance premium has not risen.. As a jewelry shop.. their insurance is already in the highest bracket... they pay out the balls for insurance and it's not getting any higher because their risk of selling is not getting any higher..
  15. Thnx alot texski!! thanks to comments like yours.. maybe concepta willl stop working on watches!! With 39 posts under your belt and no customers raving about your work... who are you to talk about concepta????
  16. DO NOT email vacuum for something like this.. Replacing a crystal would not be worth his time or your money.. simple thing.. really. 1. Open caseback 2. remove crown stem by pressing gently in small hole next to stem on movement (look this up for pics) 3. Turn watch face up gently in your hand. (cover your hand with microfiber cloth) 4. Movement will drop out of watch 5. Press out old crystal (try thumbs first, if it doesn't budge i've used a movement holder and the end of a marker wrapped in microfiber to tap crystals out)
  17. Susan, Take heed of the advice given about servicing this watch. You still haven't acknowledged this advice. It's not uncommon for a watch like the one you purchased to stop running after a few months time (either over-oiled, under-oiled or in some cases completely dry movements). When that happens, don't say we didn't warn you. A good servicing will guarantee the watch runs for years without any trouble.
  18. love the brown! don't listen to Madred! My dad has a blue faced steelfish on brown leather.. very nice
  19. welcome to the game now cut up your credit card while you still have the chance!
