ANY should be serviced.. But the movement should be working when the watch arrives to you. The difference between the H factory and noobfactory movement is that the h-factory is using a Low beat 18,000 bph movement, while the noobfactory is using a 21,000 bph movement. despite some controversy, they are equally as good with a good servicing... On the other hand AESTHETICALLY the new noobfactory movement is a little better.. but that should be the least of your worries as neither movement is very close to the original

I'd buy one if i was rich enough to fill it up with gens. It's pretty bad ass to have a case as tall as a you of watches..
-
Well then I should be considered his backlog as I haven't heard from him or my watches for the last 3 months!! haha. I'm not worried though. Francisco has done all of my work and never treated me bad. We all get swamped every once in a while. Permabull.. ¿eres tmbien de Valencia, o solo que tienes mucho contacto con el?

Hi Dhan.. what do you mean it doesn't work correctly? You've ordered a watch knowing that the movement doesn't work?

T Thanks bro. Looks great. That's incredible that it passed 3atm with no crown gaurd! Really nice Anyone happen to recall if there's been a 177L(M) rep vs. GEN comparison on there somewhere? I remember a thread comparing the 177 to another titanium panerai, but have yet to see a 177 rep to gen comparison. If anyone knows of one on here or any other forum, i'd love to hear about it!!

Hello From The Great Northwest!

Welcome Duke!... Great to have you where are you located now in Washington?? You're not a peninsula guy now are you? haha -
Me too... which is why the question arose.. out of all the cool underwater pics I've seen of watches.. I don't recall any pams! i did a search for "pam underwater" "panerai underwater" and several other combinations to no avail.

Hey guys, I'm curious.. I just got my first luminor marina model (177) and was wondering about people waterproofing their pams and swimming with them. I have NO INTENTION whatsoever of swinmming.. but it kind of occured to me as one of those things I've never seen on the forum even after my 4 years here... Anyone dared to take their pam diving or swiming and have the pictures to prove it?? I know PAMs werre originally designed for water.. but without a screwdown crown, I'm not taking any watch near any water. Actually, now that I think about it.. i just don't take any watches besides my G-shock in the water. My DSSD is sealed and epoxied.. still never gotten it wet.. haha

Just got my diver yesterday.. BEAUTIFUL. I ordered it with both the strap and bracelet. It would've been cheapest for you to order it with your new diver, since shipping cost would've been avoided... I believe the bracelet is about 100-120usd from most dealers. The swap is FAIRLY easy. I initially had problems fitting the strap, but after I realized that it's easier to connect the strap with the endlinks already attached to the watch, (rather than attaching the links to the strap first, then trying to attach them to the watch. it was easy as pie. ) Attaching the bracelet is easier than the strap., taking out links from the bracelet is easy too. I had to take out like 5 links (6.75 wrists).. but it fits perfectly now. I paid 88 for my bracelet from Tony.. but I'm not sure if that was the price for buying it with the watch. In any case, expect to pay 30 bucks shipping from most of the dealers.. you mind as well get a new watch with the bracelet to save on shipping

It's quite normal to post QC pics on the forum for member opinions before confirming shipment. Just post them up in a new thread asking for some feedback on the watch and you'll get tons of replies. Not a big fan of the X33, there's been a few threads on that watch in the past, but I wouldn't expect an accurate rep of that to ever come out, the most similar watch would probably be the breitling Emergency and the replica is fairly bad. Are you a pilot by chance?

Yes, after payment is made, the dealer will send you pics of your actual watch. With regards to waterproofness.. I wouldn't swim with any rep unless having it pressure tested. BK might pressure test his watches.. ask him. (question of making sure all seals and gaskets are in place and properly greased with silicone. With the DSSD, also expoxying the he valve shut to ensure no water or air can enter the watch case). With regards, to your question about TAGs.. I've never owned one (except for a crappy Link I bought in the streets of new york). I'm not much of a TAG guy, but have always been attracted to the Aquaracer chrono and the Grand Carrera RS2.. other than those two models.. I don't think I'd ever consider a TAG personally.

why don't you check search for "waterproofing" your watch????

I understand your anxiety. You've been here for a few days, and I can tell by your post content that you want a watch NOW! haha.. Anxiety in this game is never good... after you buy the watch is the worse part. I guess I won't begin to tell you the agonizing feeling when yuo're watch has taken days, weeks, and sometime months to arrive to you. Or even worse.. it gets snagged by customs! Patience is of virtue in this game, and my mere point, is that every single question you've asked, has been discussed thousands of times on this forum in the past. The only thin you have to do is use the trusty search button. If you want me to really tell you what to do.... Screw the rep, and get a gen. haha.. Or just get the BK and call it a day. Hands down best DSSD out right now. Do it, and be over with it. The pearl your talking about is quite obvious.. but barely noticeable from a glance away. You also have to realize that once you get the watch in real life.. the flaws that you're used to looking at on your nice big computer monitor, taken in macro mode with great cameras.. .really does change perspective. Granted I can't spot V2 from a mile away.. A v3, a v5 or v6 is defnitely hard to tell the difference in the flesh on someone's wrist. without another watch to compare to.

We've got some lumers here in EU. VAC is probably the most well known on this forum, but he's also probably the priciest.. and has the longest wait list. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see your watch for a couple months if you have BK send it to VAC. I still personally, don't think you should be taking anyone's suggestions at this point until you know what is you want.... I'm sorry to sound harsh, but you couldn't tell the difference if BK sent you his modded watch or a V5. You're just not there yet. (no fault of yours. You'll definitely learn). I have Trevor's V5. Thinner hour markers, flat pearl (which i modded myself with acrylic), And a couple of other miniscule things, but to be honest with you, if you get the DSSD, you won't appreciate the mods BK has put into the watch. my .02cents. Why spend more when you can spend less.. for something that's 1% less accurate than BK's. Starting out with a V5 or newer V6 DSSD is still going to give you a 96-97% visually accurate watch and costs less than BK. I just can't justify BKs price. I paid $225 (I got a discount from trevor) for my DSSD last year. It's great. I refinished the bracelet (using a refinishing pad and refinishing pen), polished the sides (using Cape Cod) and got results that I love. In the case of Lume.. it's an EXTREMELY personal choice. some guys will say, why spend the money on a lume job if you never look at your watch at night... other people swear by it. It's all up to you to decide. Not us. Jkay has great suggestions and is one of the DSSD nuts on the forum, But I would venture to say I'm not far behind him. I say study and go for what you like. There's tons of threads out there. I even wrote one on Trevor's watch last year.. comparing his V5 to the previous V5. (see it here: ) The information is there for you to find. If you want to spend 4 or 5 hundred bucks on a DSSD be my guest, but if I put mine next to yours.. would you know which is which???

Until you know what everything means.. and modifications like that have meaning to you.. I'd advise against any modification. If at this point, you can't tell the difference between a BK Ultimate, a V5, V6, or Ultimate DSSD.. then there's no reason for you to modify anything. Learn what appeals to you and go from there. There's at least 3 versions of the DSSD that are all excellent.. even though all of them have different flaws. No rep will ever be perfect no matter how much work you put into it. A rep is a rep. If you're wondering whether the DSSD models I've just mentioned will pass the 1 meter eye test.. Yes. they all look nearly perfect from one meter away. If you ask me to get out a jewler's loupe and start showing you microscopic details.. then a rep will just never cut it. AR= Anti-Reflective coating. (often used on watches and eyeglasses) to reduce glare. For this particular model it is not a popular modification, since rolex does not use AR on their Genuine watches. (Except on their cyclops magnification) But some people here just prefer the look of the watch with AR and don't go for Accuracy to Genuine.

What kind of work? Do you mean a movement servicing? Or are you referring to modifications? These decisions are completely up to the buyer. Movement servicing is always recommended for any watch, some people wait a while before servicing.. some people send their watch immediately after receiving it to be serviced (movement disassembly, cleaning, oiling and lubrication of parts)

wondering the same thing. I've heard stories of this breaking on several member's diver. I've been told to be VERY careful when turning the inner bezel. When my watch arrives, I think I'll try it once, to see it work.. then never use it again out of fear!
