Seeing as how this is a limited edition watch.. I doubt you would ever be able to source a genuine dial. I've heard from The Zigmeister that the bezels on these watches and other breitlings are very hard to remove without damaging them. If you can remove the bezel without damage.. you could get to the crystal and push it out with a press.. I'm pretty psitive that lani sent his crystal off to Chief for AR, so obviously he was able to get the bezel off somehow...

If you go quartz... go digital and call it a day. The only "designer" watches that I find remotely interesting are some of the digital Fossil watches.... They're not terribly priced and look cool with their moving digital faces..... I would never pay 400usd for the shoddy DGs I've seen.. but that's just my opinion....

not really disappointing at all... I never thought that any of the brands we like were "hand made".. Some of the breguets, piagets, and A. Lange & Sohne... etc.. are definitely hand made.. but hublot, Audemars, omega, rolex etc.. doesn't surprise me one bit. In fact.. this is the way I imagined most factories to be.

not a good choice for a white dial... if you could pull it off on a black dial.. it'd look sweet. I have a Blacksteel already so I don't think I'd ever invest the time or money for this kind of project, but it looks nice all the same

The diver extension on my UPO continuously pops open.. Anyone have an extra UPO bracelet that they'd be willing to sell me? ONly condition is that the clasp functions well and the diver extension doesn't come undone by itself....... Holler at a player..

Still waiting to confirm the price guys.... the chinese are slow as molasses and the first offer they gave us.. they asked for a gen crystal as a sample... obviously that makes no sense.. since none of us have a gen 212 or 253 that needs its crystal replaced... AS of now, Offshore is still waiting to hear back from his folks in china on pricing quotes from various makers.. Sorry it's taking a while.. but it's a long process! P.s. anyone have an extra 253 mineral crystal to loan?? Of course you'd get your crystal back after the run was over. It exists... i would never buy it personally with a bracelet... but it's the same watch as mine. It's a black dial. But the photo is horrilbe. This watch has a semi-strong bluish AntiReflective tint on the crystal.... for that the glass can sometimes be a little blued. But the dial is black on the model in your picture

You kidding me!?? You're declining a free caseback from a trusted member? Dluddy could have the caseback to you in a jiffy.. If you're lucky.. you'll get this problem resolved in a month from the dealer... I would forget the dealer and take dluddy up on his offer... This is the reason the forum exists! I know you feel like the dealer "owes" you.. but it's only a caseback.. and the only thing the dealer would do is send you a new one after you paid to ship the old one back to him... Chances are he might even send you an incorrect caseback.. and you're back to square one... Problems with reps are better handled if they can be easily,cheaply and efficiently fixed without involving the dealer further more... Especially since we're talking about a caseback..

The search bar is your friend Simon:) once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward.. sometimes it's easier to search than repost things like this.. Here's a review done by Lanikai.. It's the same version you're talking about except without correct "10" bezel spacing. Nothing else on the watch has changed as far as I know. another post: This took me about 2 minutes of searching to find... Good luck with the research! p.s. I have a v5 and LOVE it.. but some people prefer the ultimate....
