  1. No problems with mine. Date can easily be adjusted with the crown, and centers well in the window. An excellent replica, however I do not wear it often.
  2. Likely, I think it is a nice, unusual replica. I have not bought anything in some months, so about time to get back into the game. Need to decide on some more stuff to add up to the order, though. My GF does not think the Patek is anything special, but she likes this Rado from the seller. Will add that to the order.
  3. Well, at least the Patek is a bit plainer. Seems like it is a replica of the Patek Phillippe Golden Ellipse.
  4. While browsing aoobuy, I came across this cute little watch. No date, no rotating bezel or complicated dial. Just simple, retro style! I do not know much about the Patek line, but I think the overall look of this watch looks very good. It seems almost too "low key" to be spotted as a fake. Have searched for images of the genuine, but did not find anything. What model is this a replication of? Have anyone bought this? This has a manual wind movement with sub-seconds, 48 USD. This version without seconds hand has quartz, 45 USD.
  5. Actually the Rado and Movado watches from Watcheden are not bad. Interesting choices if you want an unusual replica. I bought a Rado for my girlfriend.
  6. This seems like a good bargain buy. The sort of replica I have a soft spot for.. A good, odd replica outside the usual bunch. I will add this watch to the "Top Bargain Buys" thread!
  7. Here are some pictures from Stavanger, on the west coast of Norway. It is a big city by Norwegian standards, a nice mix of old fishing village and modern style. This is my local watchmaker!
  8. Velkommen to RWG. There are quite a few Norwegians here by now! The "Watch Collectors" on the Forum area, lists some trustworthy vendors. Good luck!
  9. Quite cool in its own way!
  10. A very good answer. Reading the heading, I was expecting the newbie-trashing. It is nice to see the friendly attitude of this forum. If you just want a watch and don't care to do the homework, just choose any of the dealers from this forum.
  11. Very good review! Nice too see a good writeup of the silver dial version. A peculiar thing about these is that all the replicas has the model number "CV2014" on the caseback, this is only correct for the red- hand "Racing" version of the Carrera (which was the first replica-version out). The black dial version also has slightly more grayish dial text than the original. Still, I love my black dial Carrera, CV2010. The bracelet is one of the best around!
  12. A nice improvement. However from the dealers pictures it appears that the movement does not have the regulator on the balance wheel. Some Asian 7750ies have this by now, so hopefully it will soon have both improved rotor and the regulator.
  13. Interesting read, a classic story. For the Russian space program, the Fortis B-42 7750-based chronograph is the "official watch". So automatics can be used in space. A nice article of "Space watches" is available as free download from the WatchTime archive. Go to http://www.watchtime.com/print-archive/ and search for "space".
  14. Thanks a lot for this review! Great stuff! There has been quite a few modified movements based on the 7750, including the "seconds@3", 7753, and 7751 version used in the Speedmaster day-date. I remember the "7753" modification to be well executed, with jewels? At least my Blackbird is working well.
  15. Quite cool watch! Sure a better buy than a genuine U-boat watch. It will sure get more comments than even the most modded Submariner. Wear it well.
  16. I have the Blackbid replica and mine works perfectly. I was a bit concerned about the date modification, but date setting, date change and alignment of the numbers are very good. Great piece, too bad I do not wear it much. Hope it works out for you!
  17. This might be a bit different from the current line of Russian watches, but my Poljot "Sthurmanskie" has proved to be reliable. A cool vintage military watch, with true cold war Air Force heritage..
  18. Excellent review of this cool watch. I actually wore it today, giving my SFSO a days rest. You are right about the Swiss Renata battery, I missed that detail! By the way, I brushed the clasp lock on my watch with a brushing pad. It gave it the correct brushed look, a bit closer to original.
  19. Wow! And I thought this was not possible.. That we just had to live with it, as on the 3-6-9 Navitimer.. I think the BP just made it to my "must have" list.. Things like this is what makes this forum so much better than the "Genuine" Forums!
  20. Normally, the sellers know how to describe the watch. It is seldom stopped in Norwegian custom, you just get the note to pick it up at the Post Office. Sometimes, when they are using courier service as EMS it can be a bit more trouble. Just use normal "Registred airmail. The Seamaster 40 years is a specific model? I don't know if that exists as replica. The "James Bond" Seamaster and the PO are the most popular in here. Feel free to send a PM if you would like specific answers.
  21. Welcome! There are quite a few Norwegians and other Scandinavians in here. Import to Norway of one or two watches are usually no hassle, the only issue I have had is to pay "moms" on the purchase. The Seamaster Pro is a very good replica. A best first buy.
  22. A really great review! It is nice to read reviews of the cheaper rarer replicas, not just the latest expensive ones! I hope I can link this to the "Bargain replica" post, and nick one of your photos?
  23. Another great review! Interesting to see that the movement has the correct regulator on the balance wheel! It is nice to have when you have a display back. The rotor also seems excellent.
  24. Nice pictures! This is one of very few watches that I like better in gold/rose gold than steel.
