  1. The Explorer II is a very nice Rolex, especially in white dial. Next to the Daytona, it is the only sports Rolex available in white dial. It is one for sale at the Timezone Sales corner for about 2880USD, a trusted seller without papers.
  2. Nice to see my old post kicked back into life. Thanks! I was not aware that it had reached more than 12000 views! Agree that an update is well overdue.. Will do some research and update. The regular Tag Heuer Formula 1 (quartz) should also be included. Is Nariika the only dealer for this new PO 42mm?
  3. Good story, thanks for sharing. Hope your hand heals well!
  4. Thanks for the great review! The pearl and engravings on the caseback and bezel looks much better than on my SFSO. Strange about the He-valve position. The thinner bracelet seems for some reason to be normal for the Breitling replicas.
  5. A great read. Historical technical stuff like this is very interesting. It is amazing how a good technical movement can last decades and end up in a variety of watches, all over the world! Thanks!
  6. I have seen the 7753 powered Hamilton chronos very cheap on TZ Sales corner, like these one for 475USD, (it is a seller with low post count, though) and another for 750USD.: hxxp://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=4215166&rid=0 hxxp://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=4020300&rid=0 (replace the "xx" with "tt") @olorin: nice picture!
  7. "This is Ghost Rider, requesting a fly by.." Think I will pass this one.. Even though I am a Top Gun fan, this is a bit over the top. Besides, I think this is the watch Tom Cruise had in the movie. Black Orfina- Porsche design chrono.:
  8. I have the TagHeuer Carrera, and really like it! The display caseback is a nice bonus. It has the classic style of the old, iconic Carreras, but in a newer, bigger size. It is one of TH big sellers. To me, the Heritage is more like "nice, but why did they made it?"..
  9. Yes, the t-Touch seems to be one of the watches I really like, but never get around to buy... It will remain as one of the Iconic watches of the nineties! The newer, bigger version is a stunner! Nothing wrong with quartz! Too bad there are not more good quartz-replicas.. The excellent Tag Heuer Formula 1 chrono replica is the only one I can think of..
  10. Congrats on your new "New Pluton". My old "Navitimer Quartz" had a partially black lcd-display, but the nice seller put me in touch with a guy who had an old Pulsar with the same movement. The swap was easy, I even changed the bridge with the Breitling sticker so it stayed all original Breitling. Wear it well!
  11. This model was discontinued about 2000. As new, it was about the same price as a Colt SuperOcean.
  12. The Pluton is a cool watch! Seems like a good buy. At about 40mm, these are big enough even by todays standard. Is is getting old enough to be "vintage" for those of us who grew up in the eighties! The "Pluton" name is strangely from a series of French nuclear missiles.. Don't know if I like that! I have had three of these: Navitimer Quartz, next to a BCE replica Pluton Last, the "Intruder", even though the dial is marked "Chronographe Reveil". This was the last model in this line. Sadly, it does not have the loong seconds hand, but it is the most impressive watch in the line. The Pluton series might not be the most collectible Breitling, but at about the same price as a good replica, it makes for a very reliable and good beater! It various functions makes it very useful.
  13. Still, there are many second hand Breitling dials available on eBay for small money.
  14. The best replicas are made by a secret society which emerged from the ruins of the third Reich. They escaped to a hidden Nazi base in the Arctic where they have put to life their plan for World domination through mental infiltration through a secret substance in the watch bands of all replicas. I read it on the Internet so it has to be true..
  15. If the raider tabs is 1 cm above the glass... Thats what I would call a major flaw! Guess you can install gen tabs, but they are not easy to get.
  16. Davs Eskild! Have fun, it is lots to learn around here. You will soon be hooked!
  17. This have to be some photohop excersise..
  18. An interesting twist which I was not aware of.. However, it goes in the category of "Nice, but why on the Earth would I even consider a gen..".
  19. Silix has the old Breitling Avenger with UTC-module. I have never seen any review of the module, though. http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1250
  20. Interesting piece.. Clean, classic looks. I really like the numbers style on this one! It appears the movement is actually engraved, not only stickers.. There are several Chineese/ Japanese 17J hand wound movements, some of them are used in cheap (100 USD) replicas like this Movado:
  21. Thanks for the great review and videos. This is an impressive piece. Just when I thought I had enough chronographs for a while... they pull you back in..

    Review

Informative review, thanks! It is a very nice looker! The caseback looks really good! Sorry that the movement still seems to be a bit unreliable.
  23. Amero.. Fun video. Sadly, the reality is always more boring..
  24. How about an orange dial Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chrono? A chronograph replica with the genuine ETA movement for about 150 USD shipped! (or the gen for about 500 USD used) ( You can read my review of this replica, white dial, HERE.)
