  1. A nice rewiev, thanks! These bargain Tag Heuer Quartz chronos are among my favourite bargain replicas. I am happy with my beater F1 Chrono. My guess is that it actually have the ETA Quartz movement. The regular F1 chrono replicas do have that. One thing that makes the Indy replica preferable over the F1 chrono is that the black paint on the F1 crown and crownguards scratches easily I'm a bit surprised that the Indy does not have the Tag Heuer engraving on the side, as the regular F1 replica have that..? The newest batch of Indy-replicas seems to have the correct bracelet clasp as well. Seems like they never get the logo 100% correct, as usual on TH replicas.. :/ Wear it well!
  2. Nice watch! One of the classic styles that never goes out of fashion.
  3. Updated with a long overdue entry about the IWC Portoguese 1939, one of the very best watches in the 100-130 USD bracket. I try to update this post once in a while. The updates are listed at top, and the new entries are added at the bottom.
  4. Have worn the Seamaster Chrono for most of the weekend. Still a favourite!
  5. PT just posted this watch. http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/102551-hermes-kelly-for-her/page__pid__704522__st__0&#entry704522
  6. Well, I hope there one day will be a good Reverso replica. I was wondering about the big crown on this. If it is a ladies model, it would make sense.. But I have not seen the dimensions on this rep anywhere. Strange pricing sometimes on the replicas.. There are some true bargain replicas, and then sometimes an inaccurate quartz rep like this is priced ridiculously expensive. Thanks for the feedback, guys!
  7. Congrats on the new additions! The PO looks very nice, noting match a gen! The white Explorer II has been on my list for years.. About time I pick one up.
  8. Even with all the excellent replicas lately, we are still waiting for a decent Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso. There is a rather expensive replica of the Reverso at some of the dealer sites, I have not read any reviews of it. I am not familiar with the different variants of the Reverso, so I wonder how good this is? Is it worthy of the rather high price for a quartz-replica? Dial finish, bracelet and caseback engravings looks good. But with a Reverso the revolving mechanism is an important part, and I have yet to see any pictures of that. http://www.watcheden.com/jaeger-lecoultre-reverso-swiss-eta-movement-with-white-dial-i-12786-p-1.html
  9. Nice watch for the price. A brand with heritage as well! Built to "Dolphin standard" according to the caseback! One thing they almost always mess up in the cheaper slide rule watches, like Chase-Durer and its like, is that the two scales of the slide rule dont meet. When they are 1-2mm apart as on this, it makes the slide rule less accurate.
  10. Your tutorials are really excellent, especially with the photos! Thanks a lot, I might well try this for my Tag Heuer Carrera. With a display caseback the missing regulator is obvious.
  11. Thanks for all the efforts you put into keeping this forum alive. Looks good!
  12. Omega X-33.. The current Astronaut watch. I think these are still made, but no longer available to general public. Tissot T-touch is also a very well-made watch with unique functions. It might be too cheap to be considered lust-worthy..
  13. An always actual question. Asked many times, but it usually attracts many posts nevertheless. We never get tired of discussing "what are the best replicas?" These are mine suggestions: 1. Omega Seamaster Pro Chronograph 2. Breitling Skyland Chronograph 3. Rolex Air-King / Explorer 1 4. Tag Heuer Link (non-chrono) The SFSO falls on the pearl, and a dial/ lume markers which are not as nice as the gen. I think the Air-King/ Explorer 1 is slightly bigger than the gen, but I would never notice this unless in a side by side comparison. The Seamaster, Skyland and Link... I would have difficulties spotting a rep even if I had it in my hands.
  14. Excellent comparison! The finish of the details are obvious when you have them side by side. A bit surprised of the crown case threads of the rep. I guess this applies to the Top Gun version and the Aquatimer as well?
  15. Hmm.. I am sure that I have seen some replica of it. But I cant recall where. Cool watch for a lady! By the way, I bought a Prada watch for my GF. An excellent replica.
  16. I am a Petroleum Engineer, helping to recover more oil from the fields. I work with Subsea Intervention. Doing all kind of operations on the seabed installations. That's an ok job. There are a lot of oldtimers among my colleagues.. I am still hoping to come across an original Comex-Rolex.

Wow.. that was fast! Even the "cheapie" replicas are getting much better. Guess there are more goodies to come..
  18. This is a normal issue with the 7750 ( Asian as well as ETA). I have had used gens as well as fresh replicas with this issue.. From what I remember, the chrono hours counter is held in place by a brake when the chrono is not used. If the brake lever is slightly dirty, it does not manage to prevent the chrono hours counter from running. A movement service will cure it. There are more info in the 7750 movement guide. Nice watch by the way!
  19. Most dealers have the non-chrono Link, and the replica is quite good. Check out the "Watch collector" section here.
  20. Silix has a Seiko replica listed, 56 Euros: They even make Swatch replicas: But in this range, I would rather go for the quite good Tag Heuer Formula One chronograph, which has the same ETA-quartz movement as the genuine. Aoobuy also has quite a few Seiko replicas: http://www.aoobuy.com/products.asp?ClassID=251 49 USD, with working alarm... I think a had a gen of this about 15 years ago. My first "expensive" watch.. :
  21. Quite cool! I like it, will perhaps grab the idea for a DIY project.
  22. ... when you see a marble kitchen top, and thinks " That looks exactly like the one ubiquitous uses in his watch shots!"
