  1. Nevertheless. Congratulations on your first purchase!
  2. Great watch. Even the engravings on the movement rotor appears to be well made. 51mm case is big, but I assume it recons to be a parajumper watch.. to be worn over the suit.
  3. My Mark XVI has been at Domi for the last months. Fixing the movement and new AR-coating on the Crystal as well. Will update when it gets back. I had to buy another IWC to satisfy the itching wrist.
  4. Actually this date font (along with the short hands) was used in an early advertising video from IWC. I posted it in some years ago. The date font on the Ingy replica is quite odd, as it is not stock ETA-font and a font which is not used in any other replicas. I guess the replica makers used some early promo material.
  5. It the date horizontally or vertically misaligned? If it is vertically misaligned, it can likely be solved by adjustment. Since you are in EU, you can send it to one of the rep friendly EU watchsmiths.
  6. Great post, thanks! I remember seeing ads for the PloProf in NYC early 2010. I did not really like it then, but got to buy the replica last year. Excellent piece! The replication is very good and I enjoy the funky style, especially on a mesh bracelet! Unfortunately it broke a week after I received it.. I sent it back, got it returned to me.. but again it died after a month.. Now it is at Domi for a service and repair.. Hope it will end well. I have not really got to use it..
  7. Nice watch. I really enjoy seeing examples of the good, uncommon replicas! Thanks!
  8. I just replaced the battery in this one yesterday, as I considered to offer it for sale as part of my "Spring Cleaning".. When I got it on my wrist I suddently got to like it agian. I have to keep it for the time being!
  9. I am tempted by the A3135. But will await the development. The Chinese is on the right track.
  10. On both the Ingenieur and Mark XVI, the tells for me is rather shallow caseback engravings. I have never handeled an 3717 replica, but from pictures it seems to have better engravings. There is also the 2892-powered Portofino, which has flown under the radar on the replica forums... I think that one is up there with the XVI..
  11. The CHS movements are available again.. At least listed on Trustytime. http://www.yourtrust...roducts_id=3030
  12. Hi, Yes, I did an update on December 27th, adding the Sinn U1/ U2 and the Cartels Rolex 1680 and 1655 (vintage Submariner and Explorer II). Need to add some pictures for these. The new PAM111 might be a contender.. Don't know that much about Panerais.. Is toro the only one who has this "bargain" model, or is it similar to the Noobs?
  13. Nice bracelet. Shame that the clasp says "swissmade".. This misspelling is for me a far bigger tell than SEL fitment. I may be wrong, but are there gen bracelets which says "Swissmade" in place of "Swiss made"?
  14. A genuine, vintage Swatch!?
  15. That was a warm welcome! Good to see you again SD4000!
  16. Thanks for the great effort put into this! I have not bought this 42mm version of the PO, but I am of the understanding that one of the shortcomings is silver, rather than bright white, text on the dial? This seems to be a quite normal flaw on several replicas.
  17. Interesting. There must be a lot going on "behind the curtains" in the Chinese replica industries. Thanks for posting! How is your experience with the Asian 2892 clones, quality wise? Have you seen any GMT-modifications on that movement?
  18. Tag Heuer Monaco immediately springs to mind when discussing rectangular watches.. Still waiting for a decent replica.
  19. Interesting technical discussion. I highly appreciate the effort put into the contributions and that you take the time to shear it with the community. We are all here for the love of watches and things mechanical. Improvements and experience transfer by sharing knowledge.
  20. Good news. Sounds like an extensive modding, actually rebuilding the movement as it should have been made in the first place. :-) Interesting!
  21. Slightly better AR, antimagnetic cover and more refined finish inside the lugs seems to be the description of the changes.. (calls for V1.01?) I guess this is the same watch as the updated one on Puretime. One other change seems to be better engravings on the inside of the main back cover. The outside engravings appear to be the same, though. The old croc strap on mine was very stiff but after some weeks use it felt nice. From the pictures, I cant notice any difference to mine.
  22. Thanks for the good review. The AR does look better than on my Mark XVI pilot, but a white dial is more forgiving to weak AR I assume. Your croc strap is slightly differnt to mine, which was very stiff in the beginning.
  23. Chinese Noob-factory workers pubes.. Should normally be reemoved by the factory QC-worker...
  24. I sure not hope it is bad quality.. We need more properly replicated clone movement models... I hope Domi can share his opinion on the A2892 after doing the service on mine, I have not yet seen a watchmakers review of it. Anyone knows whether The Zigmeister has reviewd the 2892 clone?
  25. An little update on my Mark XVI.. Last Friday it suddently stopped. Now it will be shipped to Domi for a repair and service.
