Excuse my ignorance, but why the rolex crown?

I have not touched the hair spring. I'm going to take it to a watchsmith on monday as apposed to sending this on another world tour and risking getting the same thing or worse back after a month's wait.

can that swan neck be adjusted?

I'm gaining I would say, at least 3 minutes an hour. Thats quite excessive, more then I would attribute to a break-in period. Somethings gotta be wrong. Looks like the hair spring is uneven, and possibly bent. The wind should be even and circular. It is uneven and looks like the beat of the hair spring is uneven, moving a little on one side and a lot on the other. green highlights are trying to demonstrate how the winding is not evenly spaced. Also look how the hair spring isn't exactly circular. red highlight demonstrates where there appears to be excess hair spring, that is bent in after being secured to the (balance [censored]?). -Can a watch smith source a new spring, and how much am I likely to spend for the repair?

From Josh. I ordered the Asian 177H (with no swan neck) and I received what to me, seems like the swiss movement with swan neck. I say this because judging by the pics on his site, the finish on my watches movement matches that of the swiss w/ swan neck. There is a higher grade of finish when compared to the pics of the Asian model. Feel free to chime in with your opinions. The AR looks great. She seems to be running a bit fast so far. I love the watch already. Just another reason why I stand by this collector, he never fails to go beyond my expectations. Immediate plans are for a strapculture strap in the next week or two. Anywho, take a look at the pics, and drop a comment/criticism. This is the strap I would like-

Actually wasn't bad. We'll, thats a matter of opinion eh? I've owned this watch for about 3 years. It was a birthday present from my father. I cannot remember the site it was purchased from (it wasn't purchased "in the know"), it was about $120 at the time. It's been great, only needing a battery thus far. It keeps great time (cheap quartz movement inside). The metal doesn't oxidize, and its been a solid wear. It is not plated. It's been my every day wear for a long time up until recently, when I got the bug again and found rwg, etc. Anyhow, It's an obvious rep, but I've enjoyed it. Here are some snaps.

I don't get the allure of this watch. It's a very steryl design. You could always sand the sides of the screws after plating in order to fit them back in.

I had just figured out the 24mm portion, the rest I still had no clue. Much appreciated fella's! If this is the wrong sub-forum, I appologize. I tried to rationalize the best location for the thread and this is what I came up with since I'm upgrading the strap.

At first I read the topic heading and thought "Finally! Someone understands my plight!" But alas.. I work on the 2nd floor of this 9 story building. I usually sneak off to the 4th floor for any special restroom missions I have. Today i stopped on the 4th, and it was being bombed like hiroshima. I made my way to 5th, same thing. I regressed to 3rd which is under construction and the bathrooms are closed but STILL had a mad bomber doing his deed. back down to the 2nd and still.. No luck. So here I am, just getting back at my desk. Payload undelivered, tantalized by a thread I thought might sympathize with my dilemma.

please help me order the correct size strap. I have it picked out, I just don't know what size to order. My wrist: The diameter of my wrist is 180mm or 18cm. (7 inches) The Watch: Pam 177H http://www.perfectclones88.com/pn17705-ser...6497-p-563.html The Strap: http://www.strapculture.com/legendlp/sclgl900.html This comes in either the Mp (24mm) or LP (26mm). Which one do I need? Then there is a selection for 120/80 or 130/80, how about that? Thanks for the help
