  1. Watch looks choice, enjoy and happy b-day!
  2. Your patience is something else we can all learn from.
  3. Resurecting the month or so old thread to thank you, your pictures helped put things in perspective for my girlfriend and I.
  4. First, thank you to all that helped me make an informed decision as to whether to pick this up or not. Long story short, A friend offered to sell me his new LINK for $800, and I took him up on it. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry284430 Here's a few pics. If you see this thread pop up again in a few days, it's probably me adding more pics, so take a look if your interested. I am considering a leather or nato strap for this watch. Suggestions welcome.
  5. Starting off the week with my newly aquired gen. Link. Hopefully ending the week with a strapculture'd 177H. Awaiting the strap in transit.
  6. I just got a barely used, gen Tag Link for $800, if that puts some more perspective on this argument.
  7. I pulled the trigger on this watch. Will be posting a new thread with pics soon. Thank you all for your help.
  8. A buddy of mine picked up a Tag Heuer Calibre6 about 3 months ago, for $2000. He has come into some hard times. He wants to sell me the watch for $800. I'd like some feedback on this situation. That is a whole lot of money for me to spend right now. Is this a deal I should NOT let pass me by? Will this watch retain close to its original value for some time? What does this watch normally sell for used? Please reply as I need to make a decision semi-quickly. Watch-
  9. which collector did you go with? Looks very nice. Enjoy!
  10. how sad, man's destruction of nature. I just got back from a cruise. I didn't feel any bumps.
  11. I just realized I haven't posted [censored] in this thread yet...

    A newbie

to my untrained eye it looks great. There is no denying, it simply... looks like an old watch.
  13. Another heap of mysterious Rolex's that only a handful of people here could tell you anything about.
  14. I am sorry to hear of your loss. May your father rest in peace and your faith keep you strong. Remind yourself he is no longer sick and is in a better place. Remember only the good.
  15. The HBB seems to be the watch that is defining what is, and what is not acceptable to the community in terms of price VS quality. There is simply no apparent quality of workmanship that justifies the additional cost for these watches. I find this unfortunate, because the HBB is truly an extraordinary watch. For me, unless its solid gold, I am not spending over $300-400MAX on a replica watch. If I had $500+ to be spending on a watch, I'd start looking at gen's, new or used. I realize this is not the thread for this discussion, but I typed it up and i'm hitting "reply". I appologize to the OP.
  16. ahahahaha. C'mon $800 for a ticking time bomb with lightly glued on screws is a STEAL! They just won't be stealing from me.
  17. I dont understand the lengthy posting and word battling of water resistant facts. I assume we all know what kind of QC we are dealing with when it comes to them? The only sure answer is to have a leakdown test done to the watch. Every single piece will tell its own story. I would buy a steelfish for its water resistant capabilities, but I wouldn't trust it without putting it through the gamot myself.
  18. I fixed it myself. the hairspring was caught on itself. Its been running COSC for 48hrs since.
  19. those are nice. Check out the breitling! they have a nice selection of ladies watches I thought looked nice. hxxp://www.perfectclones88.com/breitling-c-84.html I just sent my lady an email with a ton of pics of ladies offerings, hoping she will see something that spots her eye. she deserves it.
  20. would this be a suitable size for a lady? http://www.perfectclones88.com/tg10042-lin...242-p-2337.html The dimensions state: Dia 35.,5mm x 10mmThk
  21. IT. Im not very good at it, I just do it for a living.
  22. I agree. Josh has gone beyond the call of duty for me about everytime I've placed an order. How can I fault him? The information is out there if you look for it, and we did. We know what we are buying. Most people that aren't in the know are lucky to even get a watch after paying quadruple what we pay. I think a lot of folks have become spoiled and need to take a step back and realize what we are actually dealing with here. The strap is.. marvelous!! I dont like that model pam very much, but together with that strap it is pretty damn serious. Give it to me.
  23. This is great. A lot of effort went into this tutorial and those pams. They both paid off.
  24. hello, welcome. I never made an introduction thread, maybe I should.
