  1. After a long day at work I come home to conspiring little gnomes trying to boost my collection. My girlfriend was already on it, taking pics of them in the act. Look at that smirk. You're not fooling anyone, gnome. Move along. The little fella with the blue hat felt the heat coming a block away. He was trying to stuff this into the trunk of a die-cast car and make a break for it. No gas, stupid! Look at that little bastard gnome, posing with MY stuff. Gangster. I took my Pam off to see if they would go for it, too. Gnomes LOVE display casebacks. I could barely get the thing off my wrist before... They took the bait! But the fun had to end. Judge, jury, and executioner. I came home yesterday and my girlfriend had taken these pictures. Figured its been a while since I posted any pics, hope you enjoyed.
  2. SD3, slowly step away from the replica sir! I cant believe these posts today with gen 1950 dials and reds going in reps. One will certainly never be able to keep up with the Johnson's around here! If the stem, endices, emblem, and second hand hadnt fallen off, and the rotten, plated, lead bracelet didn't pose a sepsis threat, i'd give up now and strap on my fake Tag link from 1994 and take a wristy while holding up a white flag with RWG written on it.
  3. Wow. All the questions I want to ask, would probably be impolite. So I will just say congrats my man.
  4. Of two different watches to boot.
  5. What a priceless review. Its so enjoyable to read. Forum names start to stand out with threads/posts like this. You find then that you gravitate towards their posts to see what they have to say. So, I look forward to coming back for more SD. What a beautiful watch it is too, dare I say the watch speaks for itself. It actually does speak volumes, through your apparent affection of it. I'd say you deserve a gen for that review, but you don't need it!
  6. Gen or rep? Both of these are rated for depths well beyond i'm certified to dive. Wait, thats not even a divers watch! Hey, 200m is 200m though. I'm posting it it.
  7. Right on, maybe i'll check it out this weekend.
  8. see if that last post I made helped, report back if its still unclear. I think our posts just crossed in the mail.
  9. Yes. Yes, Rodwc, Sir-Lancelot and I know exaaaactly what they are for. They are for flying across the room and getting lost in the carpet. Then, what you do (or I did) is cry about it here, and then Rod used his lathe to come to the rescue of retarded people like myself. Seriously, glad you didn't lose the parts. Spring go's in the hole first, then the plunger. The octagonal ring is what makes the bezel spin loose or tightly. Look, here, this thread is exactly what you need- (SMALL adjustments to your octagonal ring, a little gos a long way) http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...mp;#entry421920
  10. I like it too. That watch definately catches my eye. Enjoy!
  11. You bring up a point I've always wondered. Is it a 177H or 117H? Are there such things as both? This is supposed to be a 177H, titanium.
  12. Thats crap. I honestly feel bad for you. Might want to test the waters before sinking your teeth into any dealer that far. I really hope this situation gets turned around. I was not pleased with the communication I got from DVN, so I stuck with josh, and I am happy with my 177H. I had a small problem with the movement, but was able to sort it on my own upon arrival. Granted, I know only a fraction of what you know about Pams, so my expectations will differ, and I can understand your taking a stab at the "supposed best". My 177H from josh.. Crown lever is way too thin, sunken cannon pin, lume sucks. If I got the urge, i'd have The Zigmeister rectify those for me though. Have a look, i'd love your thoughts. Treated it to a strapculture strap, otherwise box stock.
  13. I like that (your original post) pic for my new desktop backround, thanks man.
  14. Stoooooop. Everytime you post I find myself checking my bank account online. Aaaand thats where things come to an abrupt end. Grats on the new watch Race, welcome!
  15. ahaha yeah yeah. B==o Seriously, It almost a faux pah in my opinion to see some guy yank out the divers extension and strap his submariner onto his wetsuit, all the while, his dive computers hanging a foot away. Thats the guy that wants attention not only from the other divers, but the baracudas who happen to love (and have no problems coming over to inspect) shiny chew toys.
  16. A buddy of mine wants the Burberry Heritage Collection quartz chrono. Lets hear some opinions on this watch from you guys. The good, the bad, the ugly. Keep in mind he's not "one of us" when it comes to watches. http://www.pc-80108.com/bu10011-heritage-c...iss-p-3559.html
  17. What crystal? I love it!
  18. I'd have to agree. There's always an exception to the rule and Panerai certainly is just that.
  19. LMAO Muffmariner Officially Certified 7"/0.1778m Or for the deep divers- Muff-Dweller Officially Certified 12"/0.3048m
  20. Thanks for the honest efforts Chris. Best of luck moving forward.
  21. Thats my cap too, captain. HBB seems to be the example used so far. Nice watch, glad those that yearned for it got it. But! $800 on a rep? ahahahaha no sir, thats a $800 downpayment on a genuine. Almost 1/5 of the way to a genuine submariner guys. I got an almost new (3-4 months old) Tag link for that.
