What would happen if I posted a censored word, in a thread i'm not even supposed to post in to begin with? Double jeopardy? What would happen? Nothing, because I can't actually post a censored word because it would be censored right? So what if I actually could? What if I found the RWG wormhole? Try me, name a censored word. I'm sorry to hear that. These guys know better then me what to do. Its a bit upsetting that people find a hobby most would consider so mundane is "a menace to society", or whatever. I stopped making cars loud and fast, I dont drink daily or do any illegal substances... This hobby now, still not good enough for society? What is? Padded room timesharing? Maybe we should all start knitting, get that goodswiss yarn. buy those Huskvarna machines and fix em up with special parts... .. We'd probably start making our own rep clothing within a week.

For $100 and change, that watch has definately grown on me.

great question. I believe zig posted some pics a while back about non-oiled/serviced movements, and showed some close ups of the damage and wear it caused to the parts.

The thing is, so do most American's. 99% of the what I see in the US is no one supporting anything our government is doing. The only thing you will hear Americans saying frequently is we support the TROOPS themselves, and we want them back on our soil, now! We've definately lost way too much control over our legislature.

Does the color of the movement i.e. these brass ones or the nickle ones mean anything Chris? Reason I ask is the two "ETA" watches I have, I believe to honestly be ETA (and they are both nickle). The first of which is in my SS Sub, an old school watchsmith said it was definately an ETA.. With a bit of a rusty screw (the one thats dead center of the movement.) I figured "surplus" but then thought nickle weren't supposed to be surplus. I wonder if this could possibly be a tell of some sort? The second ETA is in my SFSO. I second most of everything posted. Fifty Fathoms. Cover of watchtime magazine this month. Modern- REAL superluminova under saphire bezel is a MUST. I'd lay the cash down for this. I'm not putting this on someones shoulder to mod. Vintage. I'll bite. Do it right.

Exactly. If its quartz, pull the battery. If its automatic, just stop the movement for the time being. Tell her you liked the watch, and open up the door to show her GOOD reps of course if you can afford to, replace it with one. You can always start the one she gave you back up by throwing the battery back in or starting the movement back up, if its centimental, it doesnt have to take a permanent dirt nap, just.. a coma until the situation is rectified.

Might have to get your hands dirty on this one. You know how those darn canal st. reps fall apart after a week. Know how to get that caseback off?

I see the resemblance, but I think the UN looks more thought out and refined in its design. Artistically I think its much more substantial.

What a huge lack of options for the ladies. It surprises me that this is just a men's hobby, with the surplus of handbags and jewlery available for women. Maybe some good supply/demand possibilities here.
