  1. Hey DWSmoot, good luck with the modding, and don't polish that one any more!!! I think you did enough!!!
  2. I'm totally straight about it with my wife. She has a gen £5k gold Chopard, and a rep £0.05k Cartier TT from Trusty. Guess which one has had to go back to the manufacturer twice in the last 3 months? Chopard. Guess which one gets most wrist time, and is a better time keeper? Cartier! I would never lie to my wife about this, she takes a keen interest in my hobby and has a bit fun with me reading some of the threads. She has also bought me a couple of reps in the past, and I expect we will both be buying more reps for each other! Also, I think that kanerich hit the nail on the head, women don't mind counterfeit stuff but they sure hate being lied to. And guess what? I hate being lied to too, so why treat some one how I don't want to be treated...? Women also love a bargain, especially when it comes to hubby's hobby's!!
  3. That is very very true in all walks of life. I feel the this poster has been scammed. Chro... thought he could get away with completely and utterly ripping some one off - there's no other explanation.
  4. Good luck with it. We always stand up for the dealers when they have problems, so it's only fair that we stand up for ourselves as buyers when we have problems.
  5. Those are both pretty bad flaws - scratch on the bezel, no probs as that could happen but not those flaws you have. Sure there's something he can do. OK, so it's a rep - if you want the real deal get the gen, but even a rep should at least match the pictures that advertise it! And I bet the pictures that advertised it didn't have a shitty bezel and a mutant hour marker at 9...
  6. I had quite a few problems when ordering my PO. The first one I received had a scratched bezel and more worryingly a mark on the dial itself, the second one I received the Omega logo was covering 'OMEGA' on the dial... The third one I got is perfect!!! The dealer really looked after me and kept sending more replacements. Speak to your dealer if this bothers you, bring it to their attention and see if they're willing to do anything about it. One word of advice would be to take better close up pictures otherwise you can't see what you're describing. Instead of just getting closer and closer you can crop pictures as required. Have a look at Pugwash's tutorials if you have the time, they'll help you take better pictures. All the best,
  7. Still not working? If not it could possibly be part of the stopwatch functionality - although I'm not familiar with this model... EDIT... beaten to it, not once, not twice.. but thrice!
  8. Might sound daft but have you tried gently moving it aorund to get the rotor going? Can you hear anything when you move it around? You should hear a quiet(ish) whirring sound which is the rotor revolving and storing energy, and then you should hear your movement ticking happily away!
  9. I'll second that - was sorely tempted at the time but didn't have the funds available, and way over the limit I'd set for reps... Oh, and I've got the PO on today..!
  10. Lol, I had to ditch the PAM this morning as I was wearing a blue shirt to work, so obviously the Omega SMP had to come on, as did the wavy blue cufflinks!!! Don't know what I'll wear to match it tomorrow. Either way, like Ubi in his previous post I find watches get glued to my wrist and it's hard to change. Fortunately I don't have a huge selection...
  11. I don't know about the domeness on the SMP chrono's crystal, but I do know you spend way too much time in the arcade!!!!!!!!
  12. I was reading a previous thread regarding Star's post about PAM's and not being able to wear smaller watches and it rang true to a certain degree. I'm actually adverse to switching between any watch a lot of the time. For a few hours, sometimes a day or two I am still getting used to having switched. I could be switching from a pam to omega to rollie or the other way around and it will take a little while to get used to any one. Also, frequently I totally forget what I'm wearing and I go to show off my 112h and I'll be wearing something else... something else whihc will still be very very nice though!!! Anyway, the question was is do other members struggle getting a watch off their wrists, I know I do...
  13. LOL!!!LOL!!!!LOL!!!!!! you crack me up Linder!!!
  14. Excellent post Pugwash. I was going to add my Asian 112h from Silix but you've already mentioned them. I think initially new members are put off Asian movements, which are generally fine other than the sporadically failing 7750's. I've had a few Asian movements (though never a 7750) and I've never had a problem with time keeping or reliability. Cheers,
  15. Yes, not a day you'll want to remember....
  16. Also, please note Real Madrid's victory over arch rivals Barcelona last night...
  17. Wow! I can almost smell them from here... justkiddingobviously....
  18. I find my rose gold trainers the hardest to match...
  19. I am, I feel priviledged...
  20. Easy doc! My wife is a girl, as is my baby girl, but I (despite the occasional foray into Albert Square) am definitely male!
  21. Dude, you're getting some cheap weed and coke - I can tell you don't live in the UK!
  22. You need the resizing tool sold by Narika, Birdman and others I'm sure. It's not the easiest bracelet in the world to resize - in fact it's a bit of a [censored], but if I can do it, anyone can!!!
  23. Did any UK based guys watch Eastenders this evening...? Jake Moon was wearing a Pam! They panned in close to his wrist when he was waiting for the phone to ring. It looked like a 40mm Luminor Automatic at a glance but I could be (and probably am) wrong! For those who've never heard of Eastenders it is a high-brow super intellectual thriller of a series with more twists, turns and tangents than Lost...
