Agree with your views on Beckham and Arsenal. They were the first 'English' team to field a starting 11 consisting of no English nationals which is embarrassing. It isn't xenophobia either, I'm a bit of a mix of nationalities myself, Spanish, French, Welsh, Scottish, English and a bit of Portuguese but if a team is representing a town or location within a certain country to have no home grown players is shocking. Don't know if you're aware but there are only 3 teams in La Liga in Spain who have never been relegated (I stand to be corrected if this is wrong...). Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of them. The other is Athletic Bilbao from the Basque country. They have always had a policy of recruiting only Basque players. Makes their feat to avoid relegation for all those years all the more incredible taking into account the hugely reduced pool of players available to them. Hats off to them. Anyway, for those of you who haven't signed up what are you waiting for??

is the crown on, or is it too big?

@docblackrock, Cheers mate, by the way Baptista is at arsenal, Ronaldo you're right they should probably have sold to AC whilst the had the chance from their offer in the summer, Carlos I think can still do a job as can Beckham, who is loved in Madrid for his work rate. As long as Capello just reminds them that he's the boss, and gets them working as a team they will do fine. Unfortunately about 6 coaches have failed in the last 4 years LOL!!!! Good luck to everyone who has entered , and if you haven't , shame on you!!!!!!!!!
-
Right, my money's been sent. Come on the rest of you. $20 is nothing compared to ewhat you might win. And besides, your entry will help keep this wonderful place purring.

Sorry lads, but you're all going to be hailing a new non-galactico era at Real Madrid! The defense will be solid with Cannavaro pulling the strings, and with Beckham putting the crosses for RVN (remember RVN's most prolific time at ManU?), add to that Ronaldo, Raul, Robinho, Reyes (I'm sure glad I can pronounce my Rrrr's!!) and you have a winning combination. I think Capello will drill them in the right way and they will be a much more solid Real Madrid than we have seen for years. However, in case anyone else is thinking of backing Real Madrid, don't. Everything I said above is a complete fabrication...

He's right, there's tons there to look at. Are you looking for display, storage or for transportation? Or a bit of all?!

Me too, most enjoyable! -
Fitmic speaks the truth! It's all down to personal preference. Me, I like the sandwich dials, and a clean simple look in my Pams so went for the 112h.

Hi there, Just quickly want to reassure you about a couple of things. I have both an orange PO (42mm) and a PAM 112h (very similar to the 111 but without the seconds dial) - the h series have a sandwich dial whilst the g has a flat dial. Have a look at pictures side by side and you'll see the difference if you look at the numbers. Anyway, I wear both with casual clothes and with suits and they look great with either. Can't comment on the Breitling as I don't have one (and I don't want one ). With regards to the higher end watches I'm probably not the best person to ask. I'm not fabulously wealthy so would draw too much attention if I suddenly turned up wearing a 20k watch - up to 4k or 5k is not unreasonable. Hence I've never really investigated their accuracy. However your brother sounds like he's got the cash so would be worth investigating these higher end watches. Hope this helps a little! Good luck with your purchase - and by the way, I have similar size wrists and have no problems with the larger Panerai's!

Fellow Dealers - Please Blacklist This Guy

www-watch, I tend to agree with you and was urging for more time for this guy to show his face. There's no need to turn into 'Rambo' as some one else stated earlier. I don't know Offshore and he sounds like a decent guy but just imagine you've had something go wrong (unknown to you) with your Paypal account and a dealer hasn't received payment. Suddenly you have Offshore (who I'm sure is very diplomatic) or some other total stranger confronting you on your doorstep while your wife and kids watch from inside. Now I'm sure as I've already stated twice that Offshore is a good guy, but imagine this were to happen to you. And imagine if they sent TTK along... I agree that we all have to care for this community but we don't all have to turn into Charles Bronson (The Vigilante) at the drop of a hat. -
Some Words From A Slightly Frustrated Admin...

How about paid up member automatically get entered into a monthly prize draw...? Wouldn't have to be something ridiculously expensive but as they say you have to spend money to make money! In fact, and this may be well out of line, don't we have 12 dealers? Would we ever consider asking them to each stump up 1 watch a year providing for 12 monthly prize draws a year? These are just ideas off the top of my head so dealers, please don't flame me... I'm aware that you all pay your dues as it is. But think about it, it would certainly entice people to upgrade their memberships, which would help keep this place running, and it would provide you with the opportunity to have the spotlight once a year to showcase your products... just my $0.02 -
$105 for an ETA sub rep is pretty good, however, I ain't no Rolex expert... Who's the dealer?

Good post Admin. I haven't read all the replies due to lack of time so forgive me if I'm repeating stuff. I upgraded my account a few weeks ago and the thought struck me that all members with more than 50 posts should be paying up to help keep running this place. By that time you know if you like the place, and you've certainly saved on your watches thanks to the advice on offer here. just my $0.02 -

The guy sounds like an [censored], but Ken seems to think he knows him, might be a genuine reason for this. However, if there is no valid excuse the guy is scum. Sorry for your troubles Andrew. -
Personally I quite enjoyed that... I wish more people had access to this, particularly on eBay where they're getting ripped off left right and centre...
