Alas, we in Florida are perpetually snow-challenged (although you lot freezing your bums off today will be happy to know it's in the low 50sF/10Cs today). So I offer you this:

 Magnificent choice, Elprimerozen. Like HikeUSA said, my mum and I were looking at a "gen" the other day (I think rep being sold for 4k!) at a jewelry shop. Lovely watch, great choice, wear it in good health! P.S.: Is that a sunken ship in a bottle in the background? I have a similar one! (Ahhh. Maiale repro?)

LOL! That's such an unusual photo, Dluddy. Ever so slightly sensual. Oh, I thought you had one already? Who was it that showed his PAV 91 the other day? Great strap, great photo. -
Hey Andrew -- was going to PM you, but my Inbox is at 100%. It's in the Timeconnection.biz site I linked to above in the Daily Specials. For your convenience, here is the exact section. http://timeconnection.biz/page/timeco/CTGY/TS UNFORTUNATELY, they seem to have run out of the strap, no doubt temporarily, as it was on $19.99 special all of last week. It's a $109 strap normally! Keep checking the site, especially in the Daily Specials area, for it. Might take about two weeks to restock though. I have almost all the Toscanas, and it is by far my favourite except for the Fiero/Arruginito. Some photos to whet your whistle: (With my enormous strap rotation, there is no chance to get the patina Maxmilian's has. But it will)

I am up to 18 something seconds, after I discovered the "trick". Every game or in this case, quasi-game, has a trick. You know the thing -- like in FIFA '94, you could always score a goal on a corner by positioning your player at JUST the right angle. You can tell how long it's been, since I played a video game.
-
Yes, one of the big reasons being I wanted to encourage people to call me by name and leave the initial V to V. Hmm, yes, if you're looking for a thinner strap, stick to the Toscanas, which are 4mm, but wear thinner. Manifatture Firenze straps are nice and thin, without being wafer thin (3mm). You needn't pay full price, as they have them on resale on Risti, but this is their site: https://www.manifatturefirenze.it/home.php Good wrap-up strap thread (I forgot!): http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46676 Brilliant! If you go to Repgeeks, you'll see a Wristcheck with a TWB gator, as well. Very nice. Might get one.

There are cases anywhere from 1 to 24-straps by a famous strapmaker known as Wojtecki (who member Dadog13 knows well, IIRC). It's however, above your $100 top price. IF however you want one, you can post a WTB post on the Risti Accessories Corner. I also have his email, which I don't know if it's kosher to post here, so PM if you need it. hxxp://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/ They are LITERALLY snapped up at full-price within seconds of being posted. Real leather, well-built, handy. This is a single case: And one for 24-straps (I bought a similar one, for around this price: "Wojtecki Maialelogo - Case for 24 straps, black interior, 110 US Dollars"): Look at the price though, in this recent FS post: "-Wojtecki tan case for 3 watches, 4 straps and 2 screwdrivers. Brand new with torpedo on front. $240" EDIT: Forgot this strap case, which FYI, sometimes goes on super Daily Special sale on Timeconnection.biz: http://timeconnection.biz/Merchant2/mercha...Product_Count=0 Holds 10 oversized straps, but is made of real gator. $179 full price, I've seen it as low as $110. Handsome case, but I don't have one (yet). UPDATE: Wow, got 3 PMs about this. More photos! Beautiful Woj 24-strap & 4/3/2 cases.

Holy Crap! I predict this Concord will be repped soon!

Looks good on you, DD, but it looks like Darth Vader's jockstrap. -
Sometimes I hear that, and wonder what's wrong with making a profit. Price gouging during a time of emergency is not cool. Everything else is about supply and demand, as others mentioned. One thing though: even in reps you can find super cheapies. That Patek Philippe Sky Moon you saw is pretty darned intricate for just $100. There are tonnes of Rolex watches sold by Jay (e.g.) for $50. They're nice. And since I'm not going to the Far East or Canal St. any time soon, that's one sweet deal. @Demonslayer below: They're fantastic-looking watches, but movements are the cheapest (none have failed me yet, though, touch wood). Ask Chrgod about his Silix Air-King one day. In fact, here's his Top Ten Bargain Buys post: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...amp;hl=air-king They're at Jay's lower-priced (and lower quality) alternate site: http://www.watchsilix.com/index.asp Guys here have seen these pics often, but for your comparison pleasure here is my favourite, Rolex DJ RN @ 28 Euro (U$40-50!): Thing is, with regret I have to say he's got quality control issues. It's pot-luck what you will get. Worth it, if you bulk order 4, as I usually do though.

Thanks TWP, Scoobs, Golfman for the compliment! It's been a hit so far, in all the forums. I'm very gratified, considering it was a last-minute-what-can-I-do-differently idea. TWP, I'll tell Gabo to make a Glenlivet strap! I'm not a drinker, but I prefer the grape, too. Although whisky isn't that bad, actually. Neat, of course. From Tourby? Your straps are fantastic... Hope Vlydog is paying attention, because this watch is flawless. -
John, I'm just on my way out, so I'll send you a more personalised PM later. Until then, munch on Erwinner's 177h SOS thread: "177H arriving soon; which strap/buckle best matches?, your help is highly appreciated!" http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=297717 For informal occasions, it's hard to beat Maxmilian's Tan Capretto strap: I think this is what you referred to, Slai's StrapCulture strap: P4GTR's SC strap is awesome too: The Toscana Fiero strap is your all-purpose Burberry suit/jeans strap and ultimately what Erwinner chose: I use this almost as a mantra, but you can't beat these straps for quality. Daily Specials: http://timeconnection.biz/page/timeco/CTGY/Special @John followup: Just let me know if this is enough info, or if you need a PM with more stuff. Decided to see if you had enough to go on.

Me too. On my oh I don't know, 13th try, I got it to 8.889. The joy! "That was some of the best flying I've seen to date -- right up to the part where you got killed." I love Top Gun. UPDATE: 12.639 secs! Darn you, Halo. I got shopping to do!

Best laugh I've had in years. But what, no CARTIER??
-
Rarely does this happen, but the other day someone asked my mum in a mall (wearing her Ladies DJ bling which happened to be a gen), "Is that real?". Her reply was spot on: "What do you think?". It places the onus back on the person, and if they're any kind of decent person, that's stops them cold. Juicy, Andrew has good ladies watches, better than most. Not sure why. I'd go with his Rollie DJs, in TT or bling, or both. No problems whatsoever. Jay/Silix will get you the same, for cheaper, but QC is a factor.

I buy reps to look good for a fraction of the cost.

I wondered about that! Hope you and your wife are enjoying yourself in Thailand, Raymond. The Kevlar arrived! Does it feel lighter? Looks GREAT. I'm reminded of Beyonc -
Received the Montblanc Timewalker RG Chrono.....
Victoria replied to hiker01's topic in Other Brands Area
I know what you're saying, but look at this one! From the Mont Blanc site itself: Only the most knowledgeable people could tell the difference, because this looks remarkably close to your watch. Yes, it's stupid how the factories re-use the SS cases for the gold versions, but this version isn't bad, so take heart, HikeUSA. -
Received the Montblanc Timewalker RG Chrono.....
Victoria replied to hiker01's topic in Other Brands Area
I'm looking at the gen in the MB site, and I don't see a RG version available. However, the answer is so obvious I too am having difficulty spotting it. Subdials look right. MontBlanc Automatic looks right. Hour markers, good. Date wheel, well-positioned. Nope, can't see it, HikeUSA. That is one fine-looking watch though. There's a member who has one for sale (I believe it's Azerbyjam, he with the crappy gen MB pens ...they're actually great pens for that price), and I might just have to check that out. -

MONDAY Ap -
I just saw my bf's Flickr account, with uploaded pics of Toronto's snow deluge. It's one HUGE road of snow, outside his house. Poor guys up there, Dluddy. It's supposed to get real cold for us, overnight. People are preparing to take out their blankets, and jumpers. You know how low it'll be tomorrow in SoFla? 55F/12C. First Corgi, now you. This is just a very classy watch. P.S.: Not posting the Monday-Tuesday wristchecks, as has been my recent wont. Maybe another newbie would like to, like HaloArchive did.

It's really nice to see a watch intended for you! Now I see why Ruby wins people over, TWP. What a perfectionist. Hope others are seeing the work you do, and for free...wow. Thanks, TWP! (I'm a little overwhelmed at present, with this unexpected kindness. It's been a rough time for me, and this is just the tonic I needed. Thank you guys...)
-
I am speechless. Well, for my standards. TWP, may I say it's not often one hears such a cri de coeur from a guy here. You're one of the most frank people I've ever met online (I'm still reminded of your other post) and whatever you need outside of our business relationship, you have an ear in me. I am so sorry for your troubles. Women have a hard time understanding that a man can love his wife to death, and still cheat on her -- as I once told Sssurfer about male/female differences, men can compartmentalise their lives, whereas women tend to see the big picture. EDIT: Not your case, of course! Right now, the picture I am seeing is a beautiful watch from a generous guy. Thanks so much...we'll exchange info shortly. @Sssurfer: To meet a person of your calibre here was worth everything. That is true with other guys too. Mille grazie... @Golfman: La vie n'est pas si compliqu

Gorgeous watch. Looks just the thing on your wrist. Thanks for the review! Not at all. They were more human, more full of overspilling genuine love for the watch, because of it. Yes. Why does an atheist have a Christmas tree? Actually, I'll ask about something I know, straps -- it may be the angle of the shot, but it doesn't seem to hug the contour of the case as one would expect. Is that the way it is, as the screenshots of the gen are in SS bracelet? Either way, one phenomenal watch. Glad you can wear your dream watch before year's end.

Suggestions for Bruce79's present to his wife: 1- PM TWP, since he's in the USA and has a lot of rep watch boxes 2- PM WBK at RWI, ditto, at least he could possibly get them 3- Go to Craigslist, eBay, local newspaper adverts and search for one 4- Buy a Steinhart watch winder, though the Cartier Tank may be a quartz, and present it to her in it. Looks elegant 5- Buy a single-unit watch case like this: 6- Give her a kiss with your backs to the Christmas tree, slip it onto the branch, and turn her around to look at it. That would make my heart melt Good luck.
