  1. That's not a rep deployant IMO. Let's see the rest of this gen beauty now!
  2. My PM box filled up overnight with offers to buy my 3717, which were summarily rejected. So if you're contacting me about something else, go ahead and PM me now. I've cleaned out the box.
  3. It was dark when I got home this evening, which figured to be a great opportunity for a lume shot or two... Well, what better to take a lume shot of than the fresh-from-The Zigmeister 3717 that will be gracing me with its presence on my wrist all week...
  4. Welcome to the club, LR. 2000 will roll around in no time, now. And from guys like you, I very much look forward to the next 1000 posts! -Chief
  5. Lume shot added to first post.
  6. @mezz - Yes it's one of the earlier EL models. I agree with you, and I just didn't "get it" with the popularity of this model early on but now I'm glad I didn't miss the boat completely. And as you say, the AR does make the watch. I liked it before the DAR, but I LOVE it after the DAR. Once you've got DAR on this one and the dial is so crisp and clear, those thick rep markers have definitely got to go. They really stuck out like a sore thumb until The Zigmeister worked his magic.
  7. There's space in your closet for YOUR shoes? Mine go under the bed!
  8. @mezz - Actually I came on board late with 3717. I bought it unmodded from Martyd only a few months back, not so sure at that time that I was going to like it. I had never been sold on this one, but I'll tell you this: seeing is believing. And it was immediately clear that this one had to be done right because it's definitely a keeper. Easily one of my favorites now.
  9. Looks great Stephane. Glad you like it. I have one just like it parked in my watch box.
  10. It can't be easy, and yet mine turned out flawless. The thickness and shape of the markers is perfect.
  11. The 3717 for the rest of the week.... Just arrived from The Zigmeister with a new Swiss ETA 7750, dial and hands SL, and of course chieftang double AR. I love it.
  12. Just a quick and dirty snapshot here. No fancy light tents or what have yous.... IWC 3717 originally from EL. Modded with The Zigmeister super lume on dial and hands - including removal of the thick markers and creating new flat top SL markers at 3,6,9,12 by hand, chieftang AR, and Swiss ETA 7750 from ajoesmith transplanted by The Zigmeister to top it off. I'm ecstatic! Lume shot:
  13. Top notch. That Casablanca is something else!
  14. Oooer... jump on porsche's gen case, and that dial looks excellent to me. My $0.02
  15. I'll take a 317 to go, please.
  16. Mine arrived today, and I don't have time for pics right now, but WOW. What a job The Zigmeister did on the markers. Thick markers are a thing of the past!
  17. Suggestion............. don't use VB.
  18. Zig, will there be any tricks to putting this winding bridge back in place and getting the gears aligned without damaging anything? Thanks, again.
  19. The bummer about this is that throwing on a strap for an occasional change of pace is just not going to happen. Once I switch to a strap, I'm never going to want to deal with the bracelet again!!
  20. I agree. I played with it for about 5 minutes before sending off to The Zigmeister with endlinks attached!! I'll play with it some more when it returns, but it was very stubborn.
  21. Great watch. There sure are a lot of fabulous 3717s coming around lately!!
  22. I was going to say that the markers look great. It looks like The Zigmeister did the same marker work to this one that I asked him to do to mine.
  23. Yes the sub dial hands are lumed on the gen, minus the red one I believe. avb - it looks great. I recognize that AR. This watch has been a long time coming for avb, as I believe there was a previous AR remnant on the crystal that was coated over the first time, so we had to strip it all off and coat it again. So now it's time to enjoy this one!!!
  24. Will do... That sounds straight forward enough. Thank you, sir!
  25. Congrats, sulone... What a great looking piece, and one you definitely don't see every day!
