  1. Dutchy takes the diapers off!!!
  2. Time to wax up the snowboard!!!!
  3. The Zigmeister agreed. I have advised not to use a drill bit as well. My thought was to use a milling machine endmill at low speed (and with generous use of 3-in-1 cutting oil) in a press. I would be willing to try it, but wouldn't be willing to guarantee results.
  4. Sweattdog, if you don't already know a competent watchmaker in your area, I strongly suggest taking up The Zigmeister's offer to adjust and send back to you the same day.
  5. Hmm... No response here either. AR - so close, yet so far!
  6. I just farted. Sorry. This thread needed a little lightening up.
  7. You'll thank us later.
  8. Very sweet!! Props to The Zigmeister and congrats to you!
  9. Agreed. They should have given a PAM 187.
  10. You've got plenty of wrist for a 42mm watch. In my honest opinion anyhow. 44mm PAMs would even work I think... but baby steps for now, eh?
  11. They gave one of these away on the UFC this past Saturday night.... Actually it was the gaudy model with diamonds around the bezel and everywhere else, but it was a Gerge. Personally, not my cup of tea.
  12. Get a little crazy... get a 42mm Planet Ocean. Maybe even go nuts with the orange bezel.
  13. Hmmmm real or fake. Real or fake... Real or fake. I'm going to guess: RAKE ! No wait.... I changed my mind. It's .... FEAL !
  14. Still confused, but what else is new. I thought the genuine crystal had flat edges and a bevel.
  15. Hmmmm, Joe. The genuine sub does not have a stepped-edge crystal like the "Noobmariner". Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
  16. Yes. This is the so called Noobmariner in the ETA version I do believe. The Noobmariner has this stepped crystal, and impossibly tight bezel. Been there, done that. Not terribly mod friendly at all. I ruined the first bezel I tried to get off, and noticed my other two were also not going anywhere either... Yea I've accumulated three of these for reasons not entirely known even to myself.
  17. Yea, you definitely don't want to use that insert on a vintage Rollie. Anyhow, the -181 in the part number predates the current -81, and there is a font difference on the insert as well. For example, you'll notice on your insert the "4" in "40" is trapezoidal, whereas on post-F models it is triangular. I have a couple -81s and a -181 as well. And I think shortly I should have just the right watch for the 181....
  18. How lovely. My replacement dial is due any day now from EL as well. I guess all I can do is keep my fingers crossed. *sigh*
  19. He must have had it for QUITE a long time as it is a pre-F insert. It dates back probably to somewhere in the late 90s or early 2000s. Nevertheless, genuine is the only way to fly!!!
  20. Don't worry guys, Palp delivers. I'm sure that working your way through an endless list and holding down a full time job is no picnic. The demand for these crowns has been tremendous, and it's no wonder because they're awesome!! You will all have yours soon enough!
  21. I'd be glad to rent out some wrist time for the 112 so it doesn't feel slighted when you're busy wearing one of the other two.
  22. I don't believe the 005 had the beefy CG and crown until the H series, which also (I believe), would have corresponded with an L SWISS MADE L dial. So, you could get a Jimmy Fu CG for it, and brush it for the 005. But a crown upgrade probably isn't necessary.
  23. More to come.....
  24. Saweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! I hadn't seen a pic of the finished product!!!! Wow. And WHAT A DATEWHEEL!!!! Man that thing is awesome.
