  1. Ditto. I'd love to attend a big international RWG meet as well. Heh. Do you know something I don't?
  2. The other thing I like about the pic I posted is the SELs on the P serial (2000) sub. This means I don't have to go on some kind of unhealthy obsessive witch hunt for a non-SEL bracelet with hollow midlinks for my TW Best classic.
  3. Modern sub bevel . . .
  4. Oh mama!!!! Editted to add this guy jumping around:
  5. You already have.
  6. If only there were some way I could go back in time and avoid soliciting this response........
  7. To the best of my recollection Paul has never had issues with not delivering at all, but rather with delivering garbage watches. So I'd be surprised if you were left with nothing.
  8. Yes, but I think springbars are an exception. Or so I have heard anyhow. l&t - we'll settle for pics.
  9. Stripping AR involves using some sort of an acid wash. Definitely something to not to attempt at home without proper safety equipment.
  10. I've seen 16610 inserts for several hundred dollars from these peeps. It seems like they think they have a corner on a market that they don't actually have!
  11. I recently sent my VC Overseas to The Zigmeister for a dial lume and asked if he could transplant a Silix cross at the same time. Here is how it turned out. Needless to say, I'm thrilled. Pardon the crappy handheld shot. I'm in a hurry.
  12. $100 per run.... If there are 50 crystals in the run, it's a $100 charge. If there are 2 crystals in the run, it's a $100 charge.
  13. Keep in mind that, especially with SELs, you can and probably will have at least some alignment issue and that the SEL also might need drilling. Gen springbars can be purchases from any Rolex AD I do believe.
  14. UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE Here are new details : 1) Pricing looks certain at $60/25 or $30/50. Max crystals per run is going to be 50. 2) AR Coating *will* have a slight blue/purple tint not the slight green tint originally mentioned. By the way, the Lenscrafters coating has the greenish tint to it. 3) The coating is to be handled VERY carefully. It is a room temperature coating which is not designed to be durable. This makes it very cost effective and appropriate for applying to the interior surface of watch crystals. 4) Turn around time from the lab is quoted as one to two weeks. 5) Removal of existing AR coating can be performed at a cost of $100 per run. There are some potential issues with this. If the existing coat was a high temperature (higher cost) AR coat, then stripping will fail and perhaps render the crystal useless. But if the existing coat was a room temperature (lower cost) AR coat, then stripping will succeed. I would *guess* that our reps have low cost AR coats that could be stripped, but I do not know. So anyone wanting an existing coat stripped will have to do so at the risk of potentially damaging their crystal.
  15. tnsdiamonds is a joke dude. Stay away.
  16. I believe that the trapezoidal shape of the gen date window is so subtle that it is totally irrelevant. Here's a pic of a gen. You can hardly see the trapezoid blown up like this. At normal size on the wrist, forget it.
  17. I will post pics of a Silix transplant today.
  18. Hehehe. The last time I was at a Rolex AD, I was wearing my 7753 196 and handed it to the sales droid as I was trying on a black and stainless sub. He looked at it and said "Nice. A Pan-er-ray". To which I said "Actually, it's a Pan-er-eye, and it kind of makes this sub-marine-er feel like a Timex, doesn't it!!". I winked, and he got it. Anyhow, I think you should say "sub-mare-in-er" if for no other reason than to show off your sophistication and knowledge.
  19. Could be scratches on the AR coat on the inside.... Those don't come out unless you remove the coating.
  20. No. The watch is pronounced like the seamen. At no Rolex dealer have I ever heard anyone say sub-marine-er.
  21. Did they do this while you waited? Hmmm, this would be a nice option assuming a high quality coating. However, pricing of $70 per is more than 2x what we can get in quantities of 50.
  22. LOL Sub mare in er Without question.
