The whales have been amazing. Yesterday we sat at the Sheraton bar on Black Rock beach and counted them. Blowhole after blowhole and two tails in about an hour. Some probably no more than 200 feet off shore. This after snorkeling with two sea turtles and dozens of varieties of colorful fish. Moorish Idol by the hundreds. Great stuff. I never want to leave! Hey hambone, this is Kapalua Bay. I think Makena is a bit south of here but maybe I'm confused or just overly relaxed. The Mai Tais have been flowing. I just realized i havent thought about new watches in many months. I do think I'll look around for a black 16520 dial and make a swap from the white to black for a while... Yes he does manually rework some cases. There are definitely different versions of the same model that he sells and definitely some better than others. He will try to modify the less accurate cases to be more aesthetically pleasing. So you do really have to know what you're looking at when your case arrives. But that said he's definitely doing more than buying cases from run of the mill rep factories because he can and does produce custom one offs. Or at least he used to. Looks fixable to me. That particular hand is a tough one to get to fit to a generic El Primero however.

Nice piece. There are different versions of the Phong case for this model (as is the case with most models), so you definitely want to see pictures of the profile and underside. But off the top of my head I'd say you're in the $3500 to $4k ballpark??

Not necessarily. That's a very situational statement. And I think you're making gross generalities just like the liberal media is doing. We have approx ~9000 firearm deaths per year on average, the majority of which are perpetrated by Obama voters. Yet the media (and many other folks in internet threads) likes to focus on the 2% who were killed in rare, unpredictable spree shootings, errr.. mass murders.

I've got a gen crystal on my TC, and it is indeed a great mod. I didn't think it was worthwhile on what was supposed to be a cost-effective franken, but it definitely was. I'd do it again. The AR cyclops is a must have.

FYI, edge has done some great work here folks. I have sent him a scan of a gen AP datewheel from which he generated the artwork for the printer. So this ought to be top notch stuff. Can't wait to get ahold of mine!
