Tapatalk vs Forumrunner...which one is better?

I can post in FR. I can view the forums. But the current threads are still not ordered correctly. The first post listed is from sept 9, the next from June 30. Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner -
The owner didn't give a s-word, and got out of dodge leaving the watch behind. The seller, to whom it didn't really even belong, also didn't give a s-word and sold it at 50% below market value - if knowingly, then as a slap in the face to the shitebag owner. The buyer, who didn't care for his recent purchase and knowing the seller had less than zero interest in reclaiming the watch, put it up for sale at price someone else was willing to pay within a day. I'm failing to see the problem here, except, the 116610 has grown on me quite a bit since its introduction and at that price I'd have kept it.

I'd say FR is much better, but recently I haven't been able to get its "View New Post" feature working on RWG, which absolutely blows. -
How about a nice Fifty Fathoms ?

116710 for sure, out of the list provided. There isn't even a close second.

The bezel teeth are even as far as I can tell. The pic tends to distort things a bit I do think...

Sort of. The president can improve the economy by getting out of the way, firing Bernanke, and allowing the people (market) to operate relatively freely. If he does that (ha!) then he'll deserve support. Anything short of that, and he'll deserve nothing less than fierce opposition.

My eyes keep playing tricks on me. Every time this thread pops up to the top of the "View New Posts" page I keep seeing OBAMA REJECTED or OBAMA REDACTED. *sigh*

This is also hour, minute, second. Eta 2824 I presume. I think that's what TC uses, right? Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

Going to sail through the weekend wearing my newest franken........
-
Thanks, buddy. Ya, I totally agree with your analysis of dial vs movement. I had/have no interest in the latter as this was to be a low cost / aesthetically pleasing beater franken. I've got my son's birth year (2004) gen sub sitting pristinely in a safe, and haven't taken the time to get in there and do a side-by-side but needless to say am pleased with the outcome here nonetheless. The back side may show some minor differences, but they are indeed minor. PS, thanks to all for the kind remarks also. dan_189 - it's about time you showed up in this thread!

Ya the V3 TC bracelet is silly good for $40 or $50 or whatever it was. The clasp though.... leaves a bit to be desired. I may just order a factory fresh gen 93250 down the road. But the idea here was to put together a relatively low cost beater franken with a fairly high degree of accuracy, so a gen bracelet at this point kind of crosses the intended cost threshold. I'm only in to this thing for about $1300 right now I think. Finding a used gen under $5k in good shape is almost undoable now, so I don't think I've gone overboard just yet. EDIT: Upon double-checking 93250 prices these days, I think I'll scrap that idea. The TC V3 is just fine! I spent less for a factory fresh Daytona bracelet for my 16520!

Ah I liked me some Ted Nugent back in the day. Deep Purple - discovered them later in life. Better late than never.

This is what a "Modern Day" Daytona should look like IMHO.

The subdial diameters are too obnoxious, IMO. But I see what you're saying. -
I dunno, yours looks pretty good. I just have a complex about being seen in public without a gen dial.
-
Awesome. And your watch box is 10X classier than mine. I need to upgrade!

Not a londongeorge crystal.

Alright, here she is. Someone has been paying attention . . . Some may recall Justasgood's Selloff For Sweet Caroline. There couldn't be a better cause, of course, so I ran with it. Among the pieces being sold off to raise funds, was a nice TC sub. I didn't know what V (version) TC sub this was and still don't. Nor did I spend much time analyzing it. I simply shot a PM to the K-man with intent to buy. And I figured that since it was something worth doing, well, then it had to be something worth overdoing (to some degree anyhow). So I proceeded to procure the gen dial, the gen service crystal with AR cyclops (best invention ever by the way), while K-man procured the gen insert and gen crown. We played around with different bezels along the way, but ended up quite satisfied with the included part - it looks the part and even more importantly it feels the part. Topped it off with a fresh TC V3 bracelet and called it good. Well, K did a fantastic job with the pile-o-parts provided and now that most forum members have identified it as gen, I would say the results do indeed speak for themselves. A really satisfying projects in the end, especially considering the cause, and definitely a keeper. Ubi has also kindly offered to waterproof it as well, so I will literally be swimming with the dolphins wearing this one come February in Maui. So in case you hadn't followed the Sneak Peek thread, here she is (pardon the dust). In fact NOT just another 16610 - the Sweet Caroline 16610 . . . . FRONT: BACK: OBLIGATORY WRISTIE:

Don't know who Sean is, so not a Sean case. Ubi saw it for the first time yesterday. So not an Ubi build.
