  1. Great build with those parts... Did the movement fit in the case straight away, or was there any work involved getting it fitted properly? Would love to see a shot with the back off.
  2. Nice one. Give us the parts breakdown!
  3. No go for me... Still returning nothing for searches that should return. Thanks for looking in to it, T.
  4. Wow, it really looks seamless. Fantastic job! I wish we were neighbors!!
  5. Fantastic and beautiful!!! Now... you should most definitely sell me Holy Grail 1
  6. Looks very promising... keep up the good work!!
  7. Hehehe.... Let's see, I count 5. Maybe I'm missing some though.
  8. Don't get too excited about Opera. It'll definitely work in non-mobile view for RWG, however in general it leaves a lot to be desired.
  9. Highly dependent on the version of dial and hands, but if you're talking recent lumi versions then there is very little demand so prices should be very reasonable - easily under $1000 for the set.
  10. Very handsome collection, BT. And great photography to show it off!!
  11. Nice one!! I'll enjoy watching the progress. I love the Tudor Prince white dial!
  12. Nice one, W. And a rare find indeed. This is the best way (and hardest) way to buy a vintage piece. Nowadays most are a mish mash of parts and hardly original. Oh and by the way, WOW on the insert.
  13. kbh you have a PM. The question I have is even simpler than this.
  14. Whoa... not the brightest species on the planet, eh?
  15. Hi, If you're in the US and have done any work with contracts (not necessarily as a lawyer), I have some very simple questions. Basically I'm going to be hiring a general contractor to perform some extensive work on my home. I want the general and his sub contractors to sign release forms provided by the state licensing board which are waivers from mechanics liens. Essentially, the idea is that once I pay the general contractor if he were to screw over the subcontractors, then those subcontractors couldn't turn around and sue me. The forms are online, and I just want to bounce their wording off someone with more knowledge than me to make sure I correctly understand who signs on which dotted line. Thanks, and PM me if you could lend a minute or two to help.
  16. Welcome aboard, James. Spend some time using the search function on the forum and I know you'll find RWG to be chock full of even more information than you imagined. Good luck with your project!
  17. That's a sharp dial !
  18. Hopefully you're doing this for your own enjoyment because you've created something that should bring you a lot of it. If it were me, I'd be very happy with the accomplishment of bringing my grail watch to life, and having created a one of a kind beauty.
  19. BTW, I saw a very recent listing for an M serial sub (2007) in 97% condition with all boxes and papers for $3700... It might still be available (though he didn't mention if it was a 16610). I can't vouch for the seller though. I know nothing about the person. PM me for the guy's email if interested.
  20. Nice but it needs to be sent to Nanuq for a little vintagizing!
  21. Going to have to take a closer look and read this through once more. I'd more or less written off this model even though this it is one of my favorite gens of all. I had just not been interested in the 7750 version and didn't think what you've done was possible. Thanks for pioneering the way, but I have to admit you're making it sound a lot easier than it is.... making a new plate, sanding down datewheels and gluing them together keeping the alignment perfect... no easy tasks.
  22. Ya, and personally I would have Zig take care of the servicing for less than 1/2 the RSC price. One more thing, if the Y serial sub you are looking at is the LawrenceB is selling it is nice, and he is a good seller... But he is always on the high side in terms of price... FWIW
  23. If anyone has these crystals in my current run, I could tell you the dimensions as I have all crystal measurements recorded. I just don't typically know what watches they've come from. The 42 PO is >2mm I think. The 45 UPO is 3.3mm thick.
